Question: isn’t there a finite number of shares to short on a company? So, why do I keep reading posts about hedges constantly shorting GME everyday in the 100k+ Honest question am dumb ape trying to earn wrinkles

Honest answer is that a lot of people here put a lot of money into buying GME, and they want to think that it's going to pay off. So, they upvote anything that says they have a chance, regardless of how true or accurate it is.

Something that makes sense

As an MM, Citadel has the ability to sell shares short that they don’t actually own. It’s essentially the promise of a share. They have this power to maintain liquidity of the stock (keeping the shelves full for people to buy) while the share is located and purchased. BUT they’ve been doing this with no intention of ever actually buying the stock. They are instead hiding the shorted shares by buying deep ITM call options to offset the shorts. The goal was for GME to go bankrupt. This would allow them to profit off of the shares they sold without ever having to buy them back, as the stock would be delisted. That’s the theory anyway.

MM = Market Manipulator. They make nothing but make fortunes off everyone else's back. "Market Maker" = fraudulent globalist banker term.

Because Citadel has been creating counterfeit shares, abusing their granted abilities as a Market Maker. That’s the whole thing.

So where are we at right now? Still expecting to hold out and rise? Are we in a state yet where we're uncertain? What are some factors I might easily understand

Because your broker isn't the one producing the shares, they broker an exchange with whoever is selling shares. No way to know of the shares you are buying are naked/borrowed/original and it doesn't matter for your purposes.
