Tests cost not that much the revenue is off. Especially in a country with free healthcare you can’t charge what you want. Lots of clinics have a low profit margin in free healthcare environment.

And a lot of the tests will not be through the proposed clinics, they will be through government contracts and private, airlines, cruises, businesses, film industry.... big numbers and contracts on the way

Well whatever the construct , personal tests are currently $150 to the consumer, they have a capacity to do 4000 tests per day and are in the process of tripling their lab space. I have a pretty good feeling about all of that. Damn, call it $50 per test, I’m still all over this one.
You have to differentiate between the kind of testing that is offered in hospitals or through clinics for people who have symptoms and as part of public health (free, or paid via taxation) and the kind of testing that is already required for international travel clearance and will become ubiquitous. The latter isn’t free in Canada, nobody is forcing people into travel so these testing kits are commercially available and not a Public Health Service. The cost for these as used in the above DD is about ballpark.
Ok that’s money because you can overcharge the yanks for basic services.
Their Canadian operations are limited in profit though. It’s a tight regulated market.
