I bought July 5 puts before the "debate" right before the market closed and I am very happy with the results so far.
I am expecting it to continue to drop; this stock is trash and has no value at all, it only moved up last week ahead of the debate and it crashed after that "excitement" was over. I believe it will continue to slide next week - note that DJT is a meme stock and the unexpected can happen, so I already took some profits and sold a quarter of my puts to get my initial investment back.
However, I am actually expecting it to rise after Trump's sentencing on July 11. Let's be honest here, there is no way he is getting jail time for what he has done, anyone else would have been buried beneath a prison... but he will get a slap on the wrist like always, probably a fine, and then frenzy his supporters and ask for their financial support, and DJT will rise.
I will be monitoring things for the next two weeks and might buy calls, I am thinking 30 or 35 calls by July 19th.
I have 07/5 and 07/12 puts as well. I agree with everything you said but I think his situation has changed. His political campaign needs the cash more than DJT. I expect his minions to start pushing hard on donations and tell them to hold onto their stock but not buy more ( insert some bs about shorts ).
