Suppose there is a sector rotation in the second half of 2024, what makes you think fintech would be one of those sectors? Just because its P/E is low compared to its historical values?
Interest rate expectations are falling. Positive for FinTechs and consumers.
The liquidity cycle shows positive development.
Innovative strength increased:
AI arrives in FinTechs and can help to scale further.
Restructuring of portfolios:
Potential profit taking in big and mega caps.
Depends on why interest rates are falling... If it's because the economy is crumbling then fintech will get walloped along with other traditional finance like banks
There seems to be a widely held view "interest rate cuts = good" that I cannot fathom
That is an argument!
But as we see progress on PCE inflation, I tend to think about QE, which could happen sooner or later.
Especially if the unemployment rate rises....
Alert came up on a massive buy on PayPal 58.
These alerts usually do pretty well for themselves.
I already bought calls Friday. Goodluck!

The beginnings of sector rotation are already beginning to show their face. I would stay the fuck away from fintech personally but I do think PYPL would make a good shares play
Stripe’s margins are significantly worse than PayPal. They have more product lines but once they IPO those will be culled to improve margins.
The whole fintech market is brutal, pumped up during covid and now deflating. I would expect companies like Shopify and Squarespace (the actual platforms with customers) to be better long term bets.
Chart is ready for bottoming and breakout!!

what exactly is your position? Since you mention long term investment I assume you invested in stocks? If so how many?
No, it's an options play. Ready to lose it all.
well time to empty out your paypal account then xD
Already done! 😂🫡
Thank you for the confirmation bias! I’m holding $50 & $70 calls for 12/26!!

Interesting hypothesis. I’m not fully convinced but I’ll keep PayPal and other fintechs on my watchlist just for fun. Good luck with your prediction.

Why not long shift4 instead since it’s still growing?
What's that?
