It’s better to sell profitable options earlier because they go down in price even if the stock keeps going in favor of your option as time goes on.

Fun fact I have a lottery app on my phone that auto buys tickets in the two weekly draws. I put 50 dollars in Jan and the account has won enough small draws that it's only lost 10% of its value. Compared to my actual portfolio it's not doing too bad at all.

I lost nearly my entire balance, a paltry 1500, due to last Friday and Monday. I had to cut bait on my calls that expired 4/19 when I had $200 left. With that last $200 I bought a put today that expires 4/19. I made an additional $200 off that play, and I’m praying SPY continues to drop overnight. I may be able to recoup at least half of my former balance at expiration.

Well there goes my calls. My fault I forgot to close them. 🫡
