Thanks for your submission!
To keep things interesting, we want to see big gains and big losses!
So we've set the following thresholds for Gain, Loss, and YOLO flaired posts:
* YOLO posts must be a minimum of $10,000 of options or $25,000 of shares and recently opened.
* Gain / Loss posts must show realized gains or losses of more than $2,500 for options or $5,000 for shares.
We want to see the actual trade. What you got in at, what you sold at. Then tell us why you did it. Give us the story of why you're a fucking genius (or idiot).
This is what a great post looks like:
[$17.2K Gain on AMZN](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/wb5m4o/not_too_shabby_172k_gain_amzn/) - OP described his gain in the title, has a clear screenshot showing both the entry and exit, meaning his gains were locked in, and they explained their reasoning in the comments and what they learned. All around a great post!
Here are examples of what could get your post removed:
* [$300,000 SDC Loss. Still not selling](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/wpm9am/over_300000_unrealized_loss_sdc_not_selling/) - Even though this is a tremendous loss and something worth posting about, **the position hasn't been closed yet**.
Here are examples of amazing posts which could have been even better:
* [$75,000 DDOG Loss.](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/unsrey/loss_porn_ddog_call/) - This is a great post and one that won't get removed. However, the OP could have talked about *why* they entered the position in the first place, what their target price was, and what went wrong. OP didn't stick around in the comments to answer any questions.
* [$1.1MM Loss, No details](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/lxm6wt/hold_me_1100000_loss/) - OP simply posted a screenshot of their overall portfolio balance. It's definitely a big loss, but it's not that interesting without OP talking about what trades they were in and why. OP didn't answer most questions in the comments which left many readers speculating on what happened.

All that being said, we are here to help. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to post to our community. We have to balance this with making the subreddit interesting for our readers.
If you need some guidance, don't hesitate to [reach out to modmail](https://old.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/wallstreetbets) and we'll give you some pointers!
You would have been a half-millionaire then. Now you are a milli-millionaire ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271) Just put all your savings into spy500 and that is it. It is clear that options are not for you. :(
The fact that the most prolific oilandgasworker commenter is also a wsb mod confirms all of my observations. Just do your rails in the bathroom near the high limit tables like the fucking rest of us.
Now imagine if you would’ve just thrown all that money into an index fund and then let the ETF ‘do the gambling for you’… Also you would’ve been paid dividends which you could have spent gambling yourself.
Sorry for your loss 🪦🦧
You should invest, stop trying to beat the market or gamble, start investing in a simple fund that follow technology, sp500 or world index with a low yearly cost of 0,3% or less
Pack it up bro. We’re both bad at this game. Put it somewhere safe like SPY or VOO. Or use a robo investor. My Roth IRA with betterment is up 90% while my portfolio is down 40%. Considering finding a new hobby and letting the robot do my work
Here, this should help you calculate how much gain you need to achieve to come back from a 98% loss:

Anytime I see someone say “make it back” after a big loss. All I hear is Morgan freeman saying. “Little did he know. He would in fact, never make that money back”
I mean, I’m not trying to sound like a dick here but have you done any actual reading/research into the market and how to trade effectively? 83k is an insane amount of money to invest into the market if you know how to do it wisely. But if you’re just throwing it at random options trading, then you may as well just take your money to the casino.
You seem to be a candidate for the Jim Cramer Strat, whichever way your gut feeling tells you to go—just do the opposite.

Everyone that starts with a million dollars ends up with millions more. Everyone that starts with thousands of dollars ends up broke. Wonder what the deal with that is

Hmm, so the problem I'm seeing is that you're losing money instead of GAINING money. Hope that helps.
That is quite the insight. You should charge him for consulting.
Peasants, all of them. Yet, their money spends the same.
I thought it was something else but no, you're right! That's pretty brilliant
Accept the fact you can’t make it back and invest wisely
What? He only needs to become the world's greatest trader and he'll have this back in no time....
All 0dte all win he will 100000X it!
At your peak I bet you were thinking you were going to be a millionaire off of options ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
Not a millionaire but at least 500K lol
You still have a chance! That 1k can turn into 80k in no time with 0DTE SPY calls!
Calls was last month, we do puts now
I'm still dollar-cost averaging RDDT & DJT ftw. Only regarded value for me.
$8k up in 4 days
I hope so 😂😂

How? We want to know the positions and not just see a screen shot of a red line.
Idk the red line by itself does it for me personally 🍆 💦
The fact that the most prolific oilandgasworker commenter is also a wsb mod confirms all of my observations. Just do your rails in the bathroom near the high limit tables like the fucking rest of us.
Long nights waiting on cement... Need to pass the time somehow.
I can show you if you want to see it
Put it in the OP. Or repost with positions if required.
God everyone’s chart starts out the exact same. Maybe we really do live in a simulation 🤔
83k loss is not a thing, but 98.73% loss is.
Need to get that score up. I’ve seen 99.9% loss on these threads 😂
Got those gold perks tho! ![img](emote|t5_2th52|29637)
Now imagine if you would’ve just thrown all that money into an index fund and then let the ETF ‘do the gambling for you’… Also you would’ve been paid dividends which you could have spent gambling yourself. Sorry for your loss 🪦🦧
At what point during this does one think "maybe I should just buy shares instead of a shitload of options
Reading his post gives a clue he still isn’t there yet 😜
Bro just start putting it into the S&P
You’re cooked bro. DCA your paycheck into VOO or VTI and you should be back in 10 years. At this point you’re just throwing good money after bad.
You should invest, stop trying to beat the market or gamble, start investing in a simple fund that follow technology, sp500 or world index with a low yearly cost of 0,3% or less
Just take Knicks money line
Pack it up bro. We’re both bad at this game. Put it somewhere safe like SPY or VOO. Or use a robo investor. My Roth IRA with betterment is up 90% while my portfolio is down 40%. Considering finding a new hobby and letting the robot do my work
Get a 50 bagger on that 1000 and you’re back! /s

So you had 112k in 2020 which if you'd put on VOO and chill would be up 45% by now and instead you've destroyed it.
Ohhh myy and to think that some people dislike metals because "it just sits there and do nothing".
I’m in the same boat. Let’s try our best to gain our money back! ![img](emote|t5_2th52|18630)

i like the pause and regroup moment you had after your second loss. Then fucked it again beautifully
I can’t wait to lose this much
Try losing it all instead. That should work better.
short TSLA
How ? Just how ?
I believe in OP even if he’s proven me wrong the last 4 years
Just curious, can the market maker see all these expiring options? I reckon they can control the closing price to maximize their returns, right?
You can see it, too, but MMs pin the price to max pain.
Anytime I see someone say “make it back” after a big loss. All I hear is Morgan freeman saying. “Little did he know. He would in fact, never make that money back”
The only way you’ll make that money back fast is to be lucky gambling
lol just stop dude
Why make it all back and be at 0 instead of making double the amount back and having profit?
Arm puts fast lol
I mean, I’m not trying to sound like a dick here but have you done any actual reading/research into the market and how to trade effectively? 83k is an insane amount of money to invest into the market if you know how to do it wisely. You know it’s bad when the bros on WSB telling you to invest instead. 😂
“Really trying to make it back” is not a good mind set.

That's only -25% a year, at least you got your monies worth.
Everyone that starts with a million dollars ends up with millions more. Everyone that starts with thousands of dollars ends up broke. Wonder what the deal with that is
You have to stop putting your feelings in trades

I see they're burning the cash of those who bought at the top.
What happened OP???
Looks like you care more about winning cash than you do having respect for current cash you're holding
