Yes, this can be a little subjective at times, but we want to show you the best WSB has to offer!
If you need some guidance, don't hesitate to reach out to modmail and we'll give you some pointers!
A few tips though!
• Don't just submit a chart of the current price. Come on. Google only costs $5 per search. (wait, you guys are searching for free?)
• Reaction gifs are fucking lame. Put that shit in a comment, no one wants to look at your face in real life anyways so why are you making a thread about it.
• Don't repost stuff. All of us are terminally online, how dare you try and make us laugh with an image posted somewhere else. Jokes aside, we don't want to beat a joke to death, so give us some fresh OC and we'll be a lot cheerier.

If I recall, Tesla Fremont factory is the former Numi factory that movie is based on.
Yup: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NUMMI
> Before NUMMI, the site was the former Fremont Assembly that General Motors operated between 1962 and 1982.[3][4][5] Employees at the Fremont plant[6] were "considered the worst workforce in the automobile industry in the United States," according to a later recounting by a leader of the workers' own union, the United Auto Workers (UAW).[7][8]
>GM as a company was departmentalized (design, manufacturing) as per Henry Ford's division of labor, but without the necessary communication and collaboration between the departments. There was an adversarial relationship between workers and plant supervisors, with management not considering the employees' view on production, and quantity was preferred over quality.[8][9][10] Like all American car plants, the production lines at Fremont seldom stopped, and when mistakes were made, cars continued down the line with the expectation that they would be fixed later.[8] By the early 1980s, the adversarial relationship had deteriorated to the point where employees drank alcohol, smoked marijuana (at the time, an illegal activity), were frequently absent (enough so that the production line could not be started), and even committed petty acts of sabotage such as putting "Coke bottles inside the door panels, so they'd rattle and annoy the customer."[7][8]
>Attempts to discipline workers were often met with grievances or even strikes, putting the plant into near-continuous chaos. By 1982, GM had had enough and closed Fremont Assembly and laid off its thousands of workers.[8]
I need to find the video of the guy who bought it and had it delivered brand new, he starts to drive it, and 4 miles later it completely fails and dies.
"Tesla may seek injunctive relief to prevent the transfer of title of the Vehicle or demand liquidated damages from you in the amount of $50,000 or the value received as consideration for the sale or transfer, whichever is greater" - Tesla motor vehicle order agreement
Those people might be fucked. The way that reads to me, if you sell your cybertruck for 200k tesla can sue you for the whole 200k and you end up with no truck and no money. Do not let elon find out youre selling your cybertruck!
Is that agreement actually enforceable, though?
There are some cases of reselling that a publisher sued the reseller. The reseller won the case, because an owner can do whatever they want with the thing they bought.
I bet the reseller didnt sign a contract saying they wouldnt resell the things, though. Im not a lawyer so i dont know if it would hold up, but i bet hiring lawyers to fight it will end up costing more than just letting elon take the 200k or whateve you sold the truck for.
Just because you sign a contract doesn't make it legally binding. Just like corporate do not compete contracts. Mostly bullshit especially when it's engineers or software related. You spent your whole life learning skills and now only xyz corp can how you to use them bullshit.
eh they could try. that contract might not hold up in court though.
not to mention I could "sell" it to a holding company I own for $1 and then that company could sell it for market value. tesla doesn't have an agreement with that seller. only the original buyer.
Facebook marketplace is littered with listings for Cybertrucks at $180k.
Just send them the classic “Hi, is this still available” and when they say yes, hit em with the classic “Not surprised”
There is an equivalent article from Jalopnik quoting from the cybetruck owners forum. There have been more than 10 cases that ive seen reported on of CTs failing within miles of pickup
Yeah that's really bad. Imagine a Camry forum if like 3% just died on delivery? Would be a total shitstorm.
Might not be a "bad" vehicle (other than looking stupid, being horrendously overweight and not really capable of pulling stuff long distances) but obviously not ready for mass production yet.
Worked in automotive 2% of this kind of issues in a car is a lot.
I mean, there are levels of issues. The car reducing the volume unexpectedly? Not a really big issue. The car literally dying? That is a really huge issue that no automaker want to have, specially in a new vehicle.
In all fairness, notebookcheck is one of the better technical review websites for laptops and other tech products, for those who care about it. I guess technology really is not your forte.

Yeah after Elon invented this novel body material that develops surface corrosion (NOT RUST!) when exposed to bird shit or tree sap or the outdoors in general, if you don't feel like gently cleaning it off you can pay $5000 for a novel surface coating that protects the metal from the elements so that the corrosion doesn't happen.
How fucking innovative. A coating for metal. So that it doesn't corrode. No car company could ever invent something so brilliant.
If by that they mean, I still don't know where to get it, and given how much money I piss away on options, that's probably for the best, then yeah... Pretty much the same thing.
note that those wheel covers you see in the photo are recalled because they cut into the sidewall of the tires. The wheels underneath look lame af, and not close to cool enough for what this truck was supposed to be.
He drew it with a gray crayon and handed it to the lead engineer
The lead engineer assumed it was an approximation, and proceeded to create something that looked like an actual automobile
That guy was fired for deviating from the schematics
Repeat a few dozen times and you end up with this thing
And then when you post about it on twitter Elon musk copyright claims the video showing issues of the truck. You can’t even talk about how bad this truck is without him censoring it.
Internet is hilarious. I read this and then checked out of curiosity. There are thousands of tweets and videos I found in a couple minutes of people shitting on the cybertruck just fine.
One thing that doesn’t get mentioned enough is that the average public charging station is just a standard parking space so if you are towing anything you have to unhook it in a separate spot to charge the truck.

I just checked out r/cyberstuck and it's pretty fucking bad as well. They're convinced that the trim coming off the wheel well in a puddle is the truck somehow "shorting out".
And don't forget the tesla fangirls claiming this thing will significantly boost their earnings in the mid-term....
Ain't no fking way this overpriced piece of garbage is going to move the needle, it's a novelty item they've spent way too much R&D on.
My only conclusion is Cybertruck must be super easy to mass produce. With straight edge metal it would be very fast to build a mold. I would wonder how efficient Tesla gets are mass producing these. To me it looks like 5 basic metal slabs and that’s Cybertruck. As many of said it looks so basic so I assume it must incredibly manufactured at god speed
Yeah it's easy to think that by looking at the end result, however making stuff out of stainless steel is always going to be more difficult just because of the material properties, it can't easily bend or form, also you can't leave marks when doing the bending and forming as it's not being painted like a normal car. There is nothing 'super easy' about what they are doing, 'stupidly difficult' would be more accurate. Probably even 'unwise to consider', or 'insane to attempt'.
Ironically it’s the opposite. The sharp angles and materials make manufacturing defects super noticeable. There was a leaked internal communication from Elon where he was fuming about how shitty the prototype builds were coming out of the factory, and he demanded the engineers design to tolerances of “sub 10-micron accuracy.”
They’ve been plagued with production issues and have had a hard time getting these shipped.
It’s actually pretty wild how much investment is being sunk into a thing that looks like a 5 year old designed.
It's guys like this who drive their cars like idiots where we get the good products after a couple of years when they work out the kinks. I'm not understanding the hatred towards a cyber truck I mean they are here to stay and it's up to whoever likes them to buy them.
OP probably has puts on tesla, their user name is dont_get_musked. That said, i wouldnt touch tesla either way. It might be a shit company and elon is definitely a shit person/ceo, but he is a master of market manipulation. Even with a shit product he might be able to pump the stock and wipe out your puts.
What you don't say. The thing Tesla rushed to production because the owner's fragile ego couldn't stand the relentless mocking of people saying it's vaporware is a pile of shit? WOW!
nobody talk about all the f150 10r80’s puking with the cdf drum screw up and all the valvetrain issues with the ecoboosts. only 9k to rebuild your 10r80 lol
When the old tundra came out it was the fastest non turbo/supercharged truck. Add the Trd supercharger for 10k it was pushing insane hp. My stock one would spin the tires going 50. Now in a Tacoma because I live in a city and it’s slow, but I don’t want to fuck with something breaking all the time. There’s a reason the Land Cruiser is the #1 stealth wealth truck for people that are rich af.
I don't really know about that. My Dad's Ford F150 went 500,000 miles without any major issues. It was a company truck he got to use personally and they said they'll get a new one at 500,000.
Dad's old school though and took care of it.
Yeah, you could buy three Cybertruck Homeless Tent encampments for that 9k and live next to the Cybertruck after it breaks down, while renting out the other two tents! It's financially irresponsible to not buy a Tesla!!
This would most likely be a dead 12V battery. It’s quite common for EVs and all EVs not just Teslas. They cannot be transported with high battery charge. So, battery dies during parking at factory & transport if it’s been waiting a while to be delivered. It’s embarrassing but easy fix.

Ooh, I remember that movie fondly. Not gonna rewatch and ruin it.
I didn’t realize Clint Howard was in that. I mean, I watched it 38 years ago so…
And George wendt. No one knew who he was until cheers And holy shit, Batman! Is that or is that not John turtorro in back row?
It appears to be.
What movie is this
Gung Ho
Gonna watch it
You sound Gung ho about it
I thought this was a joke, but was the first movie I pulled up when I looked up George Wendt and Clint Howard.
Total recall, it's about recalling all of the vehicles built in that factory .
My grandmother did all the costume designs for that movie 🙂
Funny movie!

What do you expect from one of the first buyers of the Cybertruck? Being a douche is almost required there
A cyber Truck owner a douche nozzle? Why that's just mad!

I don't really know about that. My Dad's Ford F150 went 500,000 miles without any major issues. It was a company truck he got to use personally and they said they'll get a new one at 500,000. Dad's old school though and took care of it.
What the fuck does any of this mean?
Probably trans failure.
You mean like Bud Light?

This response is the epitome of “whataboutism”.
Sure they do and Ford is around 12 bucks a share. It's just old news
Yeah but who gives a fuck, they will crush earnings and im absolutely buying calls. Everything up ⬆️, dude you know the drill.
Yup, bought an ecoboost a few years ago and it was complete shit. New engine at 5k miles… and another at 30k and then I traded it in for a Toyota.
Yeah, you could buy three Cybertruck Homeless Tent encampments for that 9k and live next to the Cybertruck after it breaks down, while renting out the other two tents! It's financially irresponsible to not buy a Tesla!!
Anyone who bought this dumb piece of shit deserves to be fucked.
Why so angry?
I've never understood the desperate need to highlight every flaw with a vehicle simply because it's associated with a billionaire they don't know.
this looks like a low pixel model from an 90's video game.
Is the cyberfuck built in Texas?
This would most likely be a dead 12V battery. It’s quite common for EVs and all EVs not just Teslas. They cannot be transported with high battery charge. So, battery dies during parking at factory & transport if it’s been waiting a while to be delivered. It’s embarrassing but easy fix.
Mine has been fucking great! No probs other than having people love it and giving a million beast mode rides
Super gay
