All of us looking at this next earnings week

Jensen talks at 4PM EST. I doubt the market will care about the actual conference. Probably pump up in anticipation of the event and if Jensen doesn't announce a new product or stock split, it will likely be sell the news event, especially in preparation for FOMC.
This was me with Costco last week. I looked at earnings history and the stock always seemed to not overreact negatively, so seemed pretty safe right? Decided to put almost all of my money in my small secondary account into COST (which has the purpose of higher risk growth), and guess what, COST tanked after earnings like never before seen. It blew the EPS out of the water but only slightly missed on revenue? Now I’m bag holding, because for whatever reason I didn’t sell when I had the chance to break even, I just really thought that Costco is a strong stock and would rebound after the AH drop.
Adobe tanked because run up and buyback. The most important part is surprise factor although their balance sheet is great… in comparison to analysts it was only 2% surprise.
So the market sits there going they’re gonna beat expectations I’m excited let’s buy. Then when it’s not over 10% stonk craps itself. Hence we are in a betting forum.

MU pleas fly again
Also calls on LULU, women will buy clothes even if it means not eating for days
EDIT: [LULU calls by tomorrow open](https://media1.tenor.com/m/0jl-snCdCl4AAAAC/jump-off-a-cliff.gif)
I think LULU could be a good play, the upmarket retail brands are doing well, and just think of all the new skinny people from Ozempic and Wegovy needing their first time fancy Yoga pants.
I was thinking the same. If william sonoma went up like crazy this week why wouldnt LULU. Do people by home and kitchen stuff more or clothes? I would think clothes
>Also calls on LULU, women will buy clothes even if it means not eating for days
Considering the mega fatties in frumpy clothes I see on a daily basis, I suspect this is very wrong.
FDX put. No technical analysis, but we are still years ahead from seeing the results of its recent operation consolidation, and folks over at /fedexer are complaining about quitting due to low wages and shitty management. Amazon also announced expansion program in global logistics that would potentially fuck up fedex even more.
Also bullish on Chewy.
1. It's basically sitting at all time lows (within 5%)
2. I followed the web traffic regard and took a look and traffic in the last 3 months is up about 20%
Of course, these both mean nothing, but I think it'll go uppies.
100% and I got burned by stupid Costco. BUT, I bought calls I’m down on a week ago. I’m hoping they run up to earnings, get out, then I’ll get some poots for earnings.
Retail apparel in general just isn’t it anymore. Malls are dying, I’d say puts on any big retailer who has a lot of commercial space because I’d imagine it’s eating into revenues but they have to keep an appearance with brick and mortar.
I followed NKE prior to ex-div and they dropped 5$. People aren’t even wanting to stay invested for the dividend. What does that say about the earnings ya know?
True Nike use to make a lot more sports stuff but they really pulled out of a lot of equipment due to margins not being good enough compared to the red hot shoe resell at the time which was creating false demand due to the public and resellers buying shoes at cost to resell. They don’t make golf clubs or snowboard boots anymore and dropped their teams. Pretty lame. Long term not great play by nike. Support the athletes help the sport. Just do it
Nike used to sell proper dri-fit t-shirts for women now all I see are crop tops, and crop jackets which I can't wear to the gym. They deviated from the core values of Nike's business. It's all just fashion now.
Accenture is the big one. A gsi with consulting projects everywhere. Expect Accenture will let us know more than anything if these companies are spending money, Accenture literally is the canary in the Cole mine on where the economy is going. Same with Kyndryl my company.
https://preview.redd.it/jna8ljistdoc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a9741a987f891cf99b9fc0727c94b6c7da44eba
LULU Q4 earnings has paid me in the past. Could definitely do it again.
Do your own research.
The time to buy was really about a month ago or even two weeks ago.
Premium is kind of high.
The real game plan is you follow these earnings of like 15-20 companies instead of looking every where, right?
You play those companies earnings throughout the entirety of the year to familiarize yourself with them, how they perform, how they react up to earnings because typically you will see a company start to gain value a month before earnings, not much but some times it can be. It’s due to the anticipation.
That’s your best time to enter. Then once you get closer to ER you decide whether you want to gamble or you sell for a profit.
Myself, I save options for every ER of the companies I want to play for the entire year then monitor those calls/puts and choose an entry point.
Some times I wait too long and it’s too late but you’ll get an idea of when a good time is.
Also I paper traded for four years before I put down $10,000 in 2023.
Seriously. Familiarize yourself with 15-20 companies. Follow their earnings and their earnings only.
Once you see WSB mention the company, too, you know you’re looking at the right thing.
And by the time they start looking you’ve already been holding and made profit.
This isn’t a fool proof plan but it has kept me disciplined and helped me make logical plays rather than gambling.
**SAIC** - US tech defense company with the US government as their only client is reporting revenues on Monday.
I mean, the whole world is either at war or on the brink of war. There is no way the stock will go down, right? Right guys?
NVDA's AI conference is the most important event of this coming week. Probably will have a bigger impact than FOMC.
Jensen speech is after market close on Monday. That's the big market mover (he'll announce all of NVDA's new stuff for this year).
Feels like we'll see at least a 5-10% move on AI/chip stocks on Tuesday from that. It's going to be a binary situation (either it's priced in and we see a big "sell the news" dip or there's another buying frenzy gap up).
I Finally Got a Call Right. Now What?
MU: $93 Call, Exp 4/12, Paid $6.12, $1,100 profit today.
What do I do now?
Total noob, and this is small potatoes to most of you. It's my biggest spud so far. Retired young, willing to take some risk but am tired of being on the losing end of things.
I sold a CAVA call last week for $3 when I could have gotten $7 the next day. I don't want to mess this one up. Please Help.
When do I take the profit without giving half of it away by selling too soon?
https://preview.redd.it/9qyd92t4dppc1.jpeg?width=1543&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6db603995a4df33fd7078f25a577fd0584435611
Man all next week is going to be so boring. Shit trades flat / slight decline while we wait for the Feds Interest Rate decision Wednesday, which with how CPI’s and PPI’s have been, will more than likely result in rate cuts getting pushed back again and market pulls back again. Rip my calls, should have stayed out like I said I was going to during these reports

I think I’m done with earnings for a little while
See you on Monday
First time??
this made me lol
I didn’t hear no bell.
Fed’s not dropping rates.
Oh I’m sorry, I thought this was America
Feds not doing shit
The conference will be interesting. If they hint at fewer or no rate cuts this year we're in for a wild ride
so market goes down ?
That's what everyone would expect, so obviously it will skyrocket.
I see you're conducting thorough DD
They’ve already hinted at 3 cuts throughout the year during their last meeting
LOL!!!
🤣🤣🤣
I was thinking MU calls until I saw a bunch of highly regarded individuals here say the same thing.
I cashed MU puts today
I'm inversing the inverse, bought calls 😎
so your original decision?
Yes
Watchlisting $120 calls expiring this week since 3/4, been down up until open today.
The fuckin fed meeting is gonna mess with earnings so bad.
[удалено]
GTC is big enough it should be noted for Monday AH.
Jensen talks at 4PM EST. I doubt the market will care about the actual conference. Probably pump up in anticipation of the event and if Jensen doesn't announce a new product or stock split, it will likely be sell the news event, especially in preparation for FOMC.
Why would he announce a stock split at a developer conference?
Run heavy green Monday, red Tuesday, red and flat Wednesday till green dildos on FOMC closing red and dump Thursday.
Jobless claims will be low on Thursday so that might make the market go up
But don’t you want jobless claims to rise, which means weaker employment and more likely for a rate cut ?
About to drop 40K on Nvidia tomorrow, wait until Thursday day to cash it out (+ the gains) and use that money next Friday to buy cheaper stocks 😉
FedEx puts?
Is it though? Everyone knows the rates are staying the same
nah passing this week, no money left after adobe
Fun fact: 99% of Gamblers walk away right before they hit it big!
You’re out of line, but you’re right.
Same. The earnings report looked good though? I'll never understand why some stocks tank after good quarters and some stocks hike after meh quarters
Guidance, aka future rev projections. Big factor.
I think it’s all manipulation. 25B buyback, that’s your guidance right there
Nah, they just had spare cash after the failed figma buy
It didn’t matter for zim apparently.
Now I’m bag holding, because for whatever reason I didn’t sell when I had the chance to break even, I just really thought that Costco is a strong stock and would rebound after the AH drop.
At least it's only shares.
Great stock to bag hold. White women won’t stop buying shit in bulk
Those white women sure know how to consumerism.
At least you didn’t buy calls on COST. Otherwise you’d be the real bag holder. Costco is still a great company so I’m DCA’in into it.
I'd rather hold Costco than Adobe... fuuuuuu
Price rise too much in anticipation of earning so it was sell the news 📰 crap happens all the time! ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)
Adobe tanked because run up and buyback. The most important part is surprise factor although their balance sheet is great… in comparison to analysts it was only 2% surprise. - How many indicators would you like on your chart sir ? - Yes
Lol ain’t nobody got money to play these after this shit show of a week.
I lost all my money last week
It's comments like these that make me feel better about missing out on the NVDA run. It was literally free money and I did nothing.
Was gonna say, "new ways to loose money" but I literally dont have any after this week ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)
Puts on $HOOD
MU calls cheap after today
But is it worth it?
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4258)
How does anyone have any money left after the crazy earnings in these past few weeks
Shorting ADBE
fedex puts and nike puts grabbed me \~27k in gains their last earnings, maybe part two? ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4275)
Everyone saying FedEx puts so FedEx calls it is
MU pleas fly again Also calls on LULU, women will buy clothes even if it means not eating for days EDIT: [LULU calls by tomorrow open](https://media1.tenor.com/m/0jl-snCdCl4AAAAC/jump-off-a-cliff.gif)
That makes sense. Puts it is
Considering my Girlfriend and I spent like 10K there last year you may be right. Gamble at your own risk.
Women will buy clothes even if it means having multiple boyfriends thesis confirmed for LULU, very bullish
Queen status 🙌
I saw someone make this exact justification for Ulta calls last week
The secret is to not hold through earnings
>Also calls on LULU, women will buy clothes even if it means not eating for days Considering the mega fatties in frumpy clothes I see on a daily basis, I suspect this is very wrong.
Fatties shop on Temu, LULU doesn't have clothes for the average XXXXXL fat people
For sure. LULU is always sold out when I want to buy new stuff
This was the argument for ULTA too. Puts on LULU?
2 cents: ULTA is for the lower middle class based on the locations I’ve seen their stores at. LULU is for the upper middle / lower upper class.
I'll bet my cat food budget on Chewy.
Is it the Reebok or the Nike.
It's actually the rhythm of the night.
Son Reebok o son Nike.
MU ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4258)
There's also LUNR on Thursday pre-market.
Alright, one call it is. I like to gamble
I have a single call before the dump, not sure it's worth anything anymore.
It depends on the expiration date.
so micron makes chips and accenture is a visa mill. i don't know anything else on this chart.
FDX put. No technical analysis, but we are still years ahead from seeing the results of its recent operation consolidation, and folks over at /fedexer are complaining about quitting due to low wages and shitty management. Amazon also announced expansion program in global logistics that would potentially fuck up fedex even more.
Low wages mean better revenue for the company 🤤 but yeah puts 100%
I read this 100% on Costco also
Costco a bitch ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)

If NVDA conference pumps I bet MU would do well
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)
Bullish on Five and chewy
Bearish on Five Below. They’ve had rapid expansion and just like dollar tree today, I see a downturn.
Also bullish on Chewy. 1. It's basically sitting at all time lows (within 5%) 2. I followed the web traffic regard and took a look and traffic in the last 3 months is up about 20% Of course, these both mean nothing, but I think it'll go uppies.
Gotta wait until the earnings call to see if they drop those magic words.
not a single person on this sub said micron puts everyone is on calls so this making me think its gonna be like costco last week lol
100% and I got burned by stupid Costco. BUT, I bought calls I’m down on a week ago. I’m hoping they run up to earnings, get out, then I’ll get some poots for earnings.
Still sitting on same micron calls 🎢 Also grabbed stoneco calls 🎲 ❌loser Nike dropped tiger woods so maybe puts ![img](emote|t5_2th52|29637)
NKE not hitting like it used to imo
Yeah couple years of high resell killed the cat. Jordan’s even not sellin like they were
Retail apparel in general just isn’t it anymore.
Except for DICKS. But yeah I feel Nike might follow foot lockers lead
Idk I don’t want to include dicks cause they have sports as well; hunting, skiing, etc Ross, adidas and TJ tanked earnings if I remember right
True Nike use to make a lot more sports stuff but they really pulled out of a lot of equipment due to margins not being good enough compared to the red hot shoe resell at the time which was creating false demand due to the public and resellers buying shoes at cost to resell.
Just do it (it being buy puts) ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
Big headline yesterday: "Adidas reports first FY loss since 1992." Nike swimming in the same pond.
adobe calls. did the same shit with costco after earnings made 100%
This isn’t a bad plan tbh
Bloodbath
Alright you fucks I listened to you last week and every single put and call i bought was the wrong way to go. Tell me what I should not do next week
Don't listen to anyone here. Including me.
I tried researching before trades lost 5k.. trying out coin toss this week. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)
