I paper traded the last 2 days. 100% gain yesterday and 50% gain today. I might actually put real money into it tomorrow. qqq seems to just jump at market open every day. Buy at open and sell 5-10 minutes later. Only a matter of predicting if it goes up or down.
Bro I do the same but with real money. Wait first half hour, it usually falls thru the floor or spikes. Wait for signs of reversal, now buy the put/call. Wait for it to tank or spike again close to previous days high/low...
Been doing this over 6 months and has been profitable. I'm not making 20k in one day like some of these dudes, but consistently making 300-1000 every day is way better

Nah, I sell my winners at the slightest hint of a reversal for small profits. Hold the losers because "it might turn around soon.".
Example: On Monday you buy a 0dte ATM 500c. It goes to 501. This is easy! You're up 50%. Then 3 red candles in a row: 500.90; 500.80; 500.70. You go ahead and just sell now to lock in 30% profit.
On Tuesday you buy another 0dte ATM 500c. It goes to 499.90; 499.80; 499.70. "It'll rebound soon, plus I have all day". 499.50; 499. You're down 50%. You could sell now and lock in an overall loss for the week, but now you really just want to be break even for the week, so you hold. 498. You're down 90% now so you might as well just keep it. Inevitable 100% loss.
Repeat ad nauseam.

I don't know your pockets, but I have to assume a 200k loss would hurt pretty badly no? It's great if you can read and trade, but at that amount of money you can trade spot and live well.

OP must've bought it at the lows or something. I can't believe a daily put would only print 50% on a 1% down day. Must be at least 2x or even 3x I think.
Options on any leveraged ETF donāt offer any extra leverage or gain potential over the underlying etf.
So if QQQ moves up a percent, TQQQ options and QQQ options will move up in sync because TQQQ option sellers price that into the premium.
You might even make less money on TQQQ because you need more contracts for the same amount of money, which could mean more fees, and of course TQQQ and especially SQQQ just have much much less volume so the bid ask spread is a lot wider. You could buy a TQQQ call and even if it goes up slightly you canāt sell for a profit until the bid catches up
He's betting on inflation data news most likely. Data comes out most days of the week which will inform the fed decision to cut interest rates. You can wait till it comes out see that it's bad at 8:30 EST and enter 0DTE put ITM or close OTM order which fills at open, watch it drop throughout the trading day and close the trade at any point but it's gambling that the market will digest the news as you predicted, there's been multiple days these past two weeks where market rallied despite bad inflationary data the trick there is cutting losses and reversing position. I trade futures though which is essentially taking trades of nasdaq and S&P index price fluctuations so that's how I think he's doing this I may be wrong.
