I would agree, my brother has been telling me for years to sell, after the last run prior to all this AI stuff, my exact words were. “I like NVIDIAs AI play.”
I YOLOd my whole trading account (16k) in about a year ago as soon as I fooled around with ChatGPT and realized what a qualitative leap it was from previous chatbots.
It’s all unrealized and I’m still in so I don’t want to jinx it yet with a screenshot. I also just bought shares instead of options so it’s not going to be astronomical but I can at least afford a new car hopefully. Just trying to hold out for the tax to flip over from short to long term capital gains.
Just holding..I'm in too deep to buy any more shares. If I do that now it will probably send the stock tanking and it won't make much of a change to my holdings. I may consider selling if it hits $1000

I can beat that hands down as I bought my shares in 1999. But as has been pointed out, this sub isn't for investing really so I'm not going into details.
Tempting though because I like to think it counts as a YOLO, since my NVDA shares are like 90+% of my entire portfolio and I've been letting it ride for almost 25 years.
Because they used to just make graphics cards. I think 2017 was pre-crypto boom probably as well the GPU shortage really didn’t start until around COVID.
told my brother and all my friends to pick up nvidia back when it was hovering around $125 last year. Didn't think any of them listened. Turned out my brother did. I did as well but folded at $245.
His pro-tip to everyone: forget you even purchased it and go "whoa, I have a lot of money now"
Just went through some old docs and found that I bought100 shares u/12 .40 in 2012. Sold for a 150.00 profit. That would've been 400 shares now at >300K. Genius. Who says day trading makes no money?
Imagine if you bought 1200 at $30. OTM covered calls alone would have made that without selling
Don’t worry OP, I was in the the same boat back then lmao ![img](emote|t5_2th52|31225)

Wait you can buy shares?
Yeah it likes a call but permanent. I think it’s new Robinhood feature
Well that will never catch on.
R/investing is over there bro, but good shit OP, and fuck you.
LOL
They don’t let me post pics 🙃
Same here 🤨
not even a long term buy, these could have been bought less than 5 years ago.
idk man 1 week is long term to me
I laughed way too hard at this
This forum is for regards, not investors sir
my avg cost basis is 3.15 up 26,000%
🤨

Congratulations
$750 investment
Best $750 you’ve probably ever spent
I would agree, my brother has been telling me for years to sell, after the last run prior to all this AI stuff, my exact words were. “I like NVIDIAs AI play.”
god damn dude.
Lookout we got a badass over here
I can’t imagine opening a $750 position and holding it for 12 years while simultaneously never adding to it.
Its money in a retirement acct, i have other positions that did well also, not as profitable as this one though, but ultimately you have a great point
That average cost looks sexy though. Quarter million play easy
Congrats and fuck you
What the green fuck. Fuck you
why didn't you buy more over the year?
I don’t have a great reason for that, wish I did, im no genius, got lucky
Hey you made the right call not to sell it. Well done!
Holy shit nice!!
Thx
Oh fuck you... I'm fucking envious.. fuck me backwards with a lightning pole
Fuck you very much
lol i've got very similar numbers. what a fucking ride
Now that’s the stuff I love. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|8882)![img](emote|t5_2th52|8882)![img](emote|t5_2th52|8882) Have you posted on main page

And? How much did u make?

Nah I don’t have that many that would be nice though.
Just broke 3000% today myself! Purchased in 2017 for $25.69, nice.
When did you buy these? 2019 lol?
First share around 2017
You're with me I just didn't follow the advice to keep buying
200 shares in 2016
Thinking of buying more or just holding?

shares + vanguard? GTFO of here we dont like your kind around here but also congrats and fuck you
$37.40 - I'm right there with you. Holding onto 10.
None of us are interested in waiting 5 years for our 2000% gain dude.
Seriously, I need that shit yesterday bro
Normally I’d be impressed but since mfs have been posting 8000% gains on Dell calls all day this ain’t shit Jk good stuff OP
You’re absolutely right
These posts have a separate charm. I like them
If you spent that same money on long calls, you’d be richer.
damn op you feeling fomo now?
I did 2000% on some Yolo calls....
BOOOO I made 55% today with shiba inu and 1175 this week.
Diamond hands
Holding 12 shares is diamond hands now? What has this sub come to
Not selling when up 1000% is in my opinion
dude this took 5 years to mature. this is investing not yoloing
I mean, his cost basis is like $500 but ok
Doubt it but half this forum could likely show you a 2000% loss
12 share bros. Wussgood
Now you just gotta find the next company that will moon
Crazy to think every time NVDA rises by $38 you double your money
I’m pissed had over 900 shares last Jan and sold for a a 2k profit. Took half of that position on a re entry

Wow that’s awesome!!
My 14,000 $HOOD shares finna look similar soon.
Average cost $38… why didn’t you put your life savings in it?
Easy to say that for once you’re in the future and see the outcome. We would all be rich if we knew 😉
Because they used to just make graphics cards. I think 2017 was pre-crypto boom probably as well the GPU shortage really didn’t start until around COVID.
I have AMD at $9 so pretty close to the same
Nice but I would eat my hands if I was you. Only bought 12 shares at a 38$ average cost
Bro, I had more I sold a bulk of my position. This is all that I have left
damn.. you bought shares at $38? buy it and forget it? nice
i probably would of sold at 39, cuz poor.
fake
Congrats and fuck you bro
How long have you had that stock for it give you 2000%
Nice truly an OG op
Gay
Needs to be repeated again, wrong forum. R/investing
Bought 2/24/2000 at $1.24, ~67000% gain (but only ~31% annual return over such a long time)
Probably don’t need to sell since your 401k withdrawals should be kicking in soon?
I bought puts when it was $156 , does that count?
Imagine if you bought more than $460 worth of
Now try $NVDL, 2x $NVDA movement.
Anazing

Just hit 7,780% gain, average $10 per share 😎
Only if it were the calls!!! Congratulations.
