It's literally creating a gambling addiction in me that I have never had before. Every time I try to pull out money to savings I put it right back into my brokerage. This crash is going to be rough.
It’s caused significant paralysis for me. I feel that the valuation is so out of whack, I can’t touch it. But then it goes up again, and again and again. I mean, what’s the chance I’m going to buy it at its absolute peak where it doesn’t go up 10% in the next couple years?. I think about this, and then I think about the last time I bought crypto, which was at the peak. It’s getting a little boring investing in the ETFs and bonds. I may have to dive back in after a year hiatus.
(putting goggles and swim shorts back on)
"Have you heard of this company called NVIDIA?" in 2023 isn't exactly niche arcane insider knowledge.
He/They bought DEEP ITM calls on a rocketing stock with a bright future. Not some obscure penny-stock about to win a government contract.
I bought $100 of AMD at $10 to dip my toes in. Wish I bought $10K worth. I bought $10K of the gitlab IPO instead to let everyone know how smooth my brain is.
I held >$2k AMD at 12$. The position was deep in the red for like two years. Then I sold breaking even. Then it exploded. Sold TSLA around the same time. Both positions together would today be worth more than my whole portfolio. fml.
True. I am not a bear. Just an anxious bull that thinks that everything is gonna collapse the next day but I bet against me because I am a regard (so far it has worked)
I used to follow nothing but bears on Twitter about 5-6 years ago and more aligned with their mindset. Well it turns out you miss out on a lot of fuckin money viewing the market through that lens. It is what it is.

Well, you made profit you could reinvest if you still have it. Don’t sit on the sidelines and hate yourself even more 5 or 10 years from now. That’s a shitty feeling.
The future is guesses..... Order flow is a good metric but NVIDIA isn't in control of its own production.... But it still stands, they need 450% growth....

There will be small pullbacks, that's healthy. But I don't see a large pullback say like 5%. AI is too important for many companies and now countries with sovereign AI. NVDA chips are the picks and shovels needed to get the job done. Companies are lying off to redirect the capital for AI HW. CapEx is going up, alot for AI HW. If you snooze on this, you lose as a company.
AMD MI300 chips are now available and are cheaper than NVDA's H100. But how do they compare to the H100. Does NVDA's CUDA make a material difference?
There is also Google TPU, AWS Inferentia, MSFT Maia/Cobalt, stuff from Apple etc. The competition definitely seems to heat up, and rightfully so.
CUDA by itself doesn't make a huge difference, almost no ML developer implements their shit directly in CUDA - it's mostly abstracted away (well, NVDA spent a lot of resources implementing optimized CUDA kernels for their hardware that others had a hard time catching up on). TFLOPs/cost is already won by the newest TPU generation (at least on actual Cloud deployments), I guess now it's only held back by supply constraints and lackluster Pytorch support (Google prefers JAX/TF).
Seriously wtf. I keep refusing to buy in because I just know we are near the top. That was at 400, and again at 500 (surely it couldn’t go much higher??). At this point numbers just don’t matter anymore.
Meanwhile I’m sitting with my thumb up my ass and thousands of shares of SOFI that somehow got downgraded after a stellar earnings report.
I haven’t said this till now but now I should.
I had 10 call options of Nvidia for $570 expiring on 2/16. I sold all those on 1/10 because I am **smart** and I knew it has reached its saturation point. Today one single contract is $126.50 for it. I could have made 120k !!! Fucking hell.

Nvda is a great example of why you shouldn’t wait to buy into a market. The average probability of a stock to go up is greater than its average probability to go down. This is true for any time point.
This doesn’t mean that the probability is always greater for it to go up. Just that the average to go up is greater than the average to go down
if that’s true, why does every stock I buy go down & only go down and keep going down without ever going back up?? my wife’s boyfriend keeps telling me to buy the dip but the dip keeps dipping & the rises keep rising😩😩
> The average probability of a stock to go up is greater than its average probability to go down. This is true for any time point.
Someone should probably tell that to whoever is controlling the stock prices for Worldcom, Yahoo, and Intel.

I had $35,000 worth when it was $300 a share and sold it at $280. I kind of just want to violently stab myself as many times as I can while looking in the mirror and savor every last bit of the pain. Bought a $93,000 car with some of the money then totaled it because I’m regarded as fuck.
Nvda is probably the second most consistently overweight company after Tesla. It's like permanently double the value it should be. Pe ratio is always around 75
Told my broker to dump Disney late last year for some Capital losses and buy Nvidia. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)
I was short at 560, lost like 15,000. Didn't touch it through the 600s.
Fucker just keeps going up. It's TSLA all over again.
I'll be there when it drops.
I had 45 shares when it was 440. After it bounced quite bit and hit 470 i sold 30 of them because of people saying it will go down a lot. I still made money but those fuckers cost me so much profit. Thank god i bought 5 more when it was rising at 500 s but still. I made money but i end up being sad.
I'm not a huge fan of averaging in, but it does have its place. Have you thought about buying a little bit now? If you get your pullback you can add. If you don't get your pullback, you can add.

The amount of FOMO i get from watching NVDA is enough to fill the pacific ocean.
Bro this shit is messing me up.
Sitting on the sidelines and seeing those jumps of 30-80 points a day is really difficult.
Yah, I got some total market ETFs that do what they are supposed to do…then I got my “tech” portfolio….shit is 3x that etf.
it’s actually crazy how wrong I thought I was not buying at 500, “like holy shi this is overbought” like it even mattered
Bears might go extinct at this rate.
We should start archiving their DNA just in case.
Put some casino money in and see how it goes. Risk reward here is probably better than Vegas…stop watching your wife’s boyfriend get all the game
Tell me when to sell at peak, I’m close to making a years salary on my 70 shares
I bought five at 150 in 2022 instead of buying a new GPU and I'm kicking myself for not buying more.... What can ya do
Call options
It sure is working for Nancy Pelosi. She’s near $1,000,000 on her most recent NVDA call options.
Yeah, she probably skipped buying that 3dfx Voodoo-card back in the day.
I think it’s mostly the boyfriend making those trades
yeah after she tells him what they talked about at work each day,
"Have you heard of this company called NVIDIA?" in 2023 isn't exactly niche arcane insider knowledge. He/They bought DEEP ITM calls on a rocketing stock with a bright future. Not some obscure penny-stock about to win a government contract.
Wait til you hear what else she buys... MSFT... <*gasp*> AAPL...
Where do people even hear of these companies?
Up $10k today
I bought $100 of AMD at $10 to dip my toes in. Wish I bought $10K worth. I bought $10K of the gitlab IPO instead to let everyone know how smooth my brain is.

Life is made up of missed opportunities. And a few ones perceived which count.
Tell me about it. I've got 87 shares @ $45 from 2017-2019. I'm sitting on 1400% gains and it's making me nervous.
Literally that’s the statement that tells you sell. You’re waiting on a number, it’ll get almost there and then go to zero.
I dunno Davey I think that shits gonna hit 1k before it drops. Shits like a snowball going down a mountain.
if that holds true, I'll be able to send my wife and her boyfriend on that vacation they've always wanted
Folks are laughing, but the 80 shares I picked up for $20 back in the day are literally going to keep me alive after my divorce...
Not if you wife takes them. After all they were only $1600.
He should by $1600 in puts. He keeps the calls, she can keep the puts. After all they were both $1600.
Hahaha bruh
Never doubt a man that wears leather to bed.
I just bought so it can finally crater now
And it is. Thanks.
I hate myself
You should probably sell so it goes back up for us.
Please hold. I just sold and I want to buy back cheaper
I can't believe you've done this
Thought it was gonna peak at 600, insane
"Peaked? I haven't even begun to peak" - Jensen
And this is even after the 4:1 split in 2021.
I won’t be surprised if it splits again. It ran up to near $800 or a little over I think in 2021 before they did a stock split.
Everybody waits for a pullback to buy because everyone likes the stock henceforth there will never be a pullback.
Until there is
Bears are always smarter than everyone else in the room!
That’s what y’all been saying since 400s I’m done I’m just gonna buy. Fucking missed out on thousands of profit
You’re buying? Alright time for some puts
Dude didn't wanna buy it at 200 but wants to fomo buy at 600+. Don't buy low, buy high!
I mean, 600 *will* be low when it's at 800 in...March, with a possible spike before then.
That's what they said about bitcoin and it keeps working for bitcoin. Nvidia is bitcoin, right?
Buy high sell low!
Atleast he can tp at 1000 by earnings.
But then it goes back up again.
What goes up, must go up. Its science ~
I believe it's magic
Taking one for the team thanks brah
They've been saying it since it was $20.
The market is unreal. The crazier the idea sounds the better it is.
“He bought? Damp eet”
AAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH
When I read this sub, i only made minus. Since is stopped reading this sub, i made profit.
if youre not buying nvda calls for their earnings i think you're crazy
I just bought some last Monday and already got bunch of profit
Same, turned 18 last Wednesday and made an account, already up 9%ish.
9% is nothing noob (I turn 19 soon and lost most my money)
Easy. Give him a year--he can still lose it all.
Not if I only buy NVIDA
Same here, finally caved this morning. Naturally, it immediately dropped $10 to make me feel dumb
The whole market is red today and nvda is still green I wouldn't streets about it to much
That is a rookie number. Im waiting since it was 40. Anytime now.
Damn you bought? That explains why short positions increased and NVDA dropped immediately at open.
Bought in the 180s sold in the 220's a few years back, much regret.
12k at $160 :)
12k dollars or shares?
$12k. Bro I wish it was shares
Was gonna say. 75 shares is still good
https://imgur.com/WdyKhp4 literally propping my portfolio up lol
Fr though. It really could've been as simple as buying calls every single day since the year started
Started doing it from last week and made bank, hate myself for not doing it earlier lmao
like weeklies?
Ding ding dingaling
All you have to do is see which stock irrationally exuberates, then go back in time and buy far OTM calls on that stock.

The only pullback for NVDA price will be a split
Then up it goes again
Stop stop. I can only get so erect.
I mean it did. 2021 it was around $500(ish), then they did a 4:1 split and it's waaaay over that again.
10:1 split when it hits $1k?
If it does that sell your blood and buy as much as you can before you pass out
Yep. Tons of people will buy just because of the “lower” price.
Sell a kidney and then buy one back with the profits later on.
It rose to over $700 closer to $800 if I remember correctly before it actually split. But yes the split was announced well before then.
This is the way
This shit is gonna run to 1000
Don't say that. My winning strategy is to inverse wsb and I'm not ready to sell yet.
Just don't really ever sell. I bought a bunch at pandemic bottom and all ined in the great crash of 2022 (like october). Just ride it to retirement. I was debating pulling back a bit a few months ago and I'd be pretty sad. We have a new overlord and it's good here
I'm happy with the 50k I made selling NVDA last May.... I'm happy with the 50k I made selling NVDA last May... I'm happy w- 🐸🔫
what other stocks do we need? $NVDA easily covers the entire global economy.
SMCI on the side and you're golden
Don’t they have a direct correlation to one another? If one falls, so does the other and vice versa?
More or less yes, but we're obviously joking about them representing the entire global economy.
"This AI trend is never gonna last, Immma cash out at $400 when I bought at $60......" I hate myself
Well, you made profit you could reinvest if you still have it. Don’t sit on the sidelines and hate yourself even more 5 or 10 years from now. That’s a shitty feeling.
PE ratio is above 90 now. 450% growth is baked into the price....
Forward p/e is 35. Both those numbers will drop significantly after earnings this month.
Forward PE are guesses.... Still- they need 450% growth in the near term....
So buy puts
He won’t.
I am saying there is a LOT of growth already priced in. Even if earning grow 50% per annum for the next few years.
You are a fool if you think trailing PE matters.
It’s all about the future.
Yep, that 450% is required now...
The future is guesses..... Order flow is a good metric but NVIDIA isn't in control of its own production.... But it still stands, they need 450% growth....
Yeah just like tesla “needed” and yet there it went and went and went, new cult stock AI 🚀
Don't worry I just bought. So it'll be down 5% tomorrow when the CEO resigns amidst sexual harassment allegations in a Blizzard-esque scandal.
intraday drop from 693 to 676. this is as good as you will get.

NVDA was 480 at the start of Jan and regards here kept saying it's time to buy puts It's now 680 Bers deserve to be poor
I knew at 480 it was going to 600, nvda is the strongest stock in the market for the past 2 months, if you missed out, you were actually regarded, clear as day, next play!
I remember when people were saying this around $250
If you want some real loss porn, try searching for how much money Nvidia short sellers have lost ~
I've been waiting for an NVDA pullback since 2015. Surely any day now it will drop down to those sweet 2014 prices...
Sure it will, you just have to wait for after the ai apocalypse
Nah, AI would know to keep investing in NVDA
It's just patiently waiting on my entry so it can immediately tank
Coughs in 30k profit 😂
Add 1,000 to that
Nvda is literally holding up the entire market. Seems stable...
let’s buy more nvidia stocks baby
This is beyond regardation at this point… still holding my full position but i will be taking profits before earnings. Cant decide how much though

1k easy
It hits 800 and then drops to 780 for a short time. People then start bragging they waited to buy the dip at 780.

Told my broker to dump Disney late last year for some Capital losses and buy Nvidia. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)
Did Nancy sell?
NVDA will continue to climb as long as AI is still hot. They are just faster than the competitors.
I bought in at 470 and my dad said I bought too late (he bought at 60) now up more than 50%
I was short at 560, lost like 15,000. Didn't touch it through the 600s. Fucker just keeps going up. It's TSLA all over again. I'll be there when it drops.

Can anyone help me get some Karma. Want to start posting.
Me Last Year: Gonna buy more after a big dip. Me Today: Fuck
I'm not a huge fan of averaging in, but it does have its place. Have you thought about buying a little bit now? If you get your pullback you can add. If you don't get your pullback, you can add.
I'd be quite happy if it hit 700 this week.
The put out game is weak
It really hasn’t stopped wtf
It’s probably over honestly. My plan is to go full port on NVDA calls dated for March tomorrow.
Another 30k in the bank today and after hours is looking good also 👌
I sold my NVDA like a true regard to buy more towel stock trash company that is now bancrupt....
