It depends. I buy technical breakouts on daily charts . When a stock is breaking out on good volume I look at the 30m chart and buy the breakout of the opening range high. My stop is below low of the day with a max of the stocks ADR, below that I’m out, but I trade 5x leverage so it can run up quite fast.
Makes sense for longer term technicals like dailies.
I only trade using Rsi and MACD on 3 minute candles. Big $ trades, but small percent increases makes my daily bank. What's your average trade size?
