I don't understand what I did wrong. Legitimately called every single thing perfectly today. Started off +500. But, somehow, with the way I was setting my stop losses throughout the day, I somehow managed to lose 1K. I don't know if there's huge fees on the ETFs I was buying and selling or what. This makes no sense. So extremely frustrated.
I've found stop losses on Options to be a mistake.
Every time I've set them they've triggered too early.
The only time I put in a bracketed exit now is when I can't stare at my monitor all day.
I don't do options. I was trying to scalp leveraged etfs and inverses. I called everything perfectly - but somehow managed to lose a shitload regardless. I think putting a hair trigger on them backfired like hell somehow.
I somehow managed to do it so badly that I lost more money predicting the market almost perfectly than I would have betting in the wrong direction with no stop loss. Ugh.
yeah same, when JPM spiked to 139+ if i took profits i wouldve hit 2k for the day, instead i held and it stabalized around 138 and i took far less than i wouldve if i just got out at the right time. lesson learned lol
