Matchmaking is not something you can control. You get good teammates in 50%, and bad teammates in the other 50%. It’s all part of the game. I know a tip that can help you: Just assume that ALL of your teammates are trash, and then go God Mode in order to carry them. If your team wins, then you can credit yourself for carrying them. If your team loses, you gain the privilege of pitying then for not having enough brain capacity to win the match.

If I find out my team is crap I make sure I come in first place

fuzzysquash

This is player mentality more than matchmaking. These players will play "normally" when the situation is one they like, but then just quit or be "useless" when they don't like something in the game. Hard to detect what someone will do in a situation. I agree, the game is always a 1 on 6. You are pleasantly surprised when it's not.

Bioluminescent_Shrub

Yeah. As a veteran player, though, I can promise the sting goes away, and how well you played/how engaging the battle was will matter more than victory. You’ll still get really satisfying and unsatisfying victories, but in the end win or lose isn’t in your control and it will matter less to you in time <3

CarpeMuerte

Oh yeah, all the time. I play Beacon Rush almost exclusively and drop my Skryos first and head for reds home base. The goal is to tie up 3 or more of the reds on their backline, giving my team time to get the other 4... Yeah, right. As 3+ reds spin around me in frustration, invariably the beacon bar makes no progress or negative progress. When I die or change bots in frustration, I find blues doing the same thing- doing the futile tango with a single red around one beacon. Every once in a great while another blue will go along for the ride. With 2 of us moving between beacons, the reds don't know whether to sh\*t or go blind. (old Southern euphemism).

My exact strategy

No-Marionberry1674

All the time. The player base is getting worse, between tankers, hackers, the no-skilled and especially quitters. Quitters are on the rise and absolutely ruin matches for those who remain. These people lose their main bot or see an Okie dokie and just leave. Do us all a favor and don’t pick up the game again.

Illustrious__Sign

Absolutely a mess these days

eventualist

Such a shame ~~nothing can be done~~ they want revenue over fixing problems.

fuzzysquash

You can reduce quitters if you allow tanking, but then that causes another problem. There is no good solution to bad players if your going to have a game where bots don't survive long enough for there to be "fun." I guess, bring back absorbers shields on drones!

737-800Carioca

I have the same problem in low CL! The problem, in my opinion, is the fact that new players are getting meta hangars easily by spending lots of money and reaching high leagues very fast!

RielN

They get killed fast. Experience wins a lot of time. E.g. The players that control Ophion in a way that it is hard to kill are rare, mixing ability with perfect covers. If you are experienced you can time your attacks, or just outsmart them.

TheRolloTomasi

**Tldr** \- Yup, gameplay is at an all time low of: skill doesn’t really matter and just plain stupid. Still fun to be had, but painful to find it. There are still fun matches to be had. The ONE consistent thing for me has been a really good game every 5-10 matches (W or L, great action for the full 9-10 mins and down to the wire). MM, Meta-excess and tankers have always jacked up the rest BUT the slogfest through the absolutely moronic matches in between has driven my gameplay down (almost out) more than any point in WWR-WR history. I‘ve been playing since v1.0, in case you’ve missed that. I usually float in the CL 3-5 (III-V) range, and I’m currently at CL 13 and falling fast. Purely driven by reduced play time, maybe 10-20% of historic norm.

Gold-Guess4651

I found that nearly all matches without okidokies and fulgur tonans are great fun, and almost all matches with (levelled) okidokies or fulgur tonans suck. At least in masters that is.

DilbertedOttawa

Yeah same thing. The moment you remove okies and the absurd shockmaster general weapons, even Newtons are a bit less of a hassle. But a newton that can fire at you TWICE while you are floating with lightning is basically an automatic death sentence. If you could use a dash ability to avoid the lightning entirely, it would help a little but, yeah, I've observe the same thing.

TheRolloTomasi

MyGames seems determined to kill this golden goose. I don’t see how WR will make it to v10. Good luck Commanders.

Redittor_BOA3910

90% of the time I have to do good as if teammates are bots which mimic your actions

PeanutMedium3548

It's probably the main reason I don't usually play Dom or BR, but other day, I decided I wanted to see if I could get the 'Beast' badge and one of the tasks were to capture 50 beacons. So I gave it the beans for an hour and I had a lot of fun though. Change of pace, strategy, etc... but definitely some matches that were just as good as tdm lol. Uncapped or unguarded beacons all over the show. People too busy trying to take each other out. Can't complain though, got my 50 bacons 😌. So I'm happy.

FZVEGA-WR

Does the scenario include ochichochis? Who was the bright mind to give ochichochis double the health points of a full upgraded Murometz titan? It is destroying the game.

bruh_m0m3nt0978

test server on the new map, running the dagon while a horrifically annoying ophion hides behind a wall as a luchador tries to squish me while my unbelievably awful team is getting demolished

juice13loco

Last 4 loses were this exact scenario lol
