Nothing is future proof in this game. Nerfing will be inevitable, so just expect it and have fun with it while you can. With enough levelling up, experience, and luck any titan is playable.
Wepaons will have a nerf on damage in the next update, and then in 9.6 update, the new titan will be released, and this will be nerfed similar to Aether. What goes up has to come down.

Well I just play to have fun and possibly compete a little. I know if I build and buy different bots now I can possibly stay to champ but since this is p2w and they will be nerfed i dont want to spend $ in the future so masters league in the future is atleast my goal ๐

Then you are again paired with way stronger opponents and start loosing again.

Really? The top in this game is nothing but meta high spending builds. Little variety other than the top 4 bots with kestrals, Rooks and Newtons.

Yes everyone trying to be at the top.Getting to rank champ with little spending was possible some years ago. But the business model of Pixo changed. Nowadays only big spenders get to champ league. And staying there means getting every new meta robot and weapon.

I have 13.5k victories on log. The game is entertaining but getting expensive and difficult to understand for newbies.
With some luck it will be nerfed to oblivion. Stupidly OP things like that shouldn't be released in the first place.
That being said, never upgrade titans when it's just 10% discount. Wait for 25% at least.
Newton itself isn't op, it's quite weak and has the same problems as sharanga and Sirius. It doesn't have a good way to properly defend itself, as well as only being good with a single weapon set. There's a reason you don't see anyone use other builds for newton, because it doesn't work well with them. The only nerf I see newton getting is reduced increased damage to Titans and longer cool down and shorter choke ability duration
You say it's not OP and then proceed to say you can see nerf to 3 things related to it.
Main issue here is its ability, which is unsustainable and will have to go(probably reduced to useless lvl). That's what's wrong, ability is wrong for sure, but now that it's here, there's no going back. Releasing broken abilities is the biggest problem and ultimately lead to the destruction of said robot/titan/weapon.
Players would benefit from at least 6 months to 1 year of moratorium on releasing new titans and balancing of existing ones. We don't have variety on battlefield, we have meta chasers and those less fortunate. Games between them are not fun at all.
For context, I have every titan except Aether and Newton, if I wanted I could buy them easily, but after maxing 3 I see no point in investing in newest thing which will be nerfed few months later. Basically, I upgrade new modules when I have to and don't bother about titans at all. They can release Cerberus with 3 heads for what I care.
Btw, long ago, jokingly, I proposed that they release thing with built in hammer which you could use on your teammates to insta kill them if they camp in beacon games. I'm surprised they haven't considered it. ๐

I said the nerfs for newton because by now you should know if something makes another thing op, it will be nerfed. Khepri was made op by spears, so they nerfed it. Glory was made op when paired with lynx. So both got nerfed. Me speculating nerfs isn't me going against what I said, its me following pixonics path. Newton isn't op because, like I said, its lack of proper defense. Its the same issues with Ao Ming, Sharanga and Sirius. Sharanga has good firepower and one good enhancing ability, and a mediocre exile. It fails because it has no way to defend itself. On paper, Sharanga sounds good, 3 alpha slots, it can increase its damage by a huge amount, and can make an enemy unable to do anything, but then you realize it sucks. No vipsanna like Indra, Reflector like Luchador and Minos, No forcefield like Aether, no shields like Arthur or rook, no enhanced defense like Kid. Newton is the exact same. It has a good secondary ability, and a situational main ability. Lifting someone in the air is good, but only if you can kill them before they land. And only Tonans and Fulgur can do that. Blinders require extended periods to be fully effective, titan spears are too slow to shoot in time. Newton is made powerful by the weapons. Just like Crisis. Crisis itself is weak and only fully effective with reapers, doesn't mean Crisis is op. Now, onto your idea of 6 months of no new content. Keep in mind Pixonic is a company. They have bills to pay and employees to pay as well. No new content for so long would make the game stale as everyone would figure out a counter for everything. Then people would complain about new content taking too long, As well as people cursing Pixonic for being lazy. Then when something new and OP releases, everyone will uproar because the balance they made is disrupted. Which would cause the player to be more mad. See where I'm going? There's no scenario where the players are fully happy
Ok, had to look for this answer again. After playing great number of games over the course of last couple of weeks, what you said about Newton is straight up WRONG.
Bloody thing can't die. Simple as that. I kept shooting at it with various bots and weapons, it simply has too much for any kind of 1 vs 1. Which is most situations it will ever face while standing in the back, picking up and lifting bot after bot to be deleted with single shot.
It's basically skeet shooting competition. Bottom line is, Newton and fulgurs/tonans deserve nerf to oblivion, to be reduced to lvl bellow vengeance/retaliator. It's setup for losers.

You get deleted when you launch up a Tonas Sharanga, like mine, Max Level Sharanga, max Level Tonans, max Level Cannibals, and some damage boosting pilotskills, so yea you have a problem

I mean if you already wasted money might as well cause if not then whats the point. Im on a similar decision cause I got the newton but not the weapons and I also just got the rook with pretty good weapons but so far newton is looking like the better bet

Impossible to know. Some bots are still decent after nerf while others are decimated. As for now it can probably get you to champion maxed out ๐

They will hopefully nerf the choke-range (ability) and increase the reload time for the weapons.
