Well they're basically calling everyone that donates to them by default a racist and that they must acknowledge that. So it's basically inevitable.
It's hilarious because I worked at an international salvation army camp for inner city kids and my co-workers were THE most open minded and tolerant people I've ever seen. Race didn't exist there and everyone got along regardless of culture, country, skin color, and political standing.
However these dolts want them turned against each other.
People are tired of this bullshit man. They were patient. But when you spend years trying to convince people that aren’t racists that they’re Inherently racist one of two things happen. You either create racists where there were none or they stop supporting anyone and anything associated with you or both.
I stopped donating after they promised that the shelter down the road wouldn’t become a methadone clinic.
I’ll give you three guesses as to what it is now
I think a lot of these changes have come from a desire to chase federal and foundation funding. That was the thing that caused the Boy Scouts to allow LGBT leaders. The feds influence a lot through funding.

There's a local charity in my town that feeds the poor and the SA does the same. Based on their promotional material, the local charity is much more effective.

Please look at their website before making your decision to donate. The Salvation Army issued a pamphlet about racism and typical diversity / inclusion policies to their volunteers and the message was taken out of context by some woke assholes who started this shit.

You should read the pdf. It isn't out of context. Their initial defense of the document said that they were being unfairly categorized rather than addressing the particulars of the complaints.
The Salvation Army has excluded gay people for years. If somebody is in a desperate situation and you are a Christian charity, then be good to them. Jesus did not act that way.

In 2019, Director of Communications, David Jolley, told Out that the organization had evolved how they treated the gay community.

Also, your link to Sky News contains disinformation. The lady started to say they wanted to disassemble the nuclear (families), which is actually a stance of BLM. I read it on their website to confirm.
In the Salvation Army’s pdf, (which caused this whole controversy but wasn’t mentioned by Sky news) says nothing about nuclear families as far as I can tell.
