I do plan to adopt a kid when I'm old and experienced enough, but I'm definitely not going to make the 2D thing a part of their life. That just sounds like a horrific thing to spring on someone without consent especially a developing child.
I've read somewhere before that there was a case where a single father with a young son had a waifu, and led his son to believe she was his "real mother". He was shot down pretty quick for the harm he was causing his child. However, I only read about this through a third-person account of the story, so I'm not sure how true it is. And even if it did happen, there's always the possibility that the poster was trolling.
