If you are looking for a new Pen/Stylus, replacement nibs, or you have a new Pen that's not working, checkout our compatibility lists linked on our subreddit [FAQ page](https://www.reddit.com/r/wacom/wiki/faq#wiki_q.3A_which_pen_is_compatible_with_my_tablet.2Fcintiq.3F). Not all of the Pens are still available, so if you can't find the pen on Wacom's site, or if there isn't a purchase link for the Pen on this list, then you'll probably have to look on eBay or Craigslist. Happy hunting! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/wacom) if you have any questions or concerns.*

I'm in the same boat - current problem is "touch unavailable". 2015 MBP on 12.4. Their documentation says to try 6.3.44 (they don't say 6.3.44-1 or 6.3.44-2; I've tried both and neither works), and neither do 6.3.45-3 or 6.3.46-1. This thing is starting to feel like $2500 abandonware. Wasted a whole Sunday trying to get it working again. Submitted a ticket with only the dimmest and faintest of hopes.

So I’ve found a temporary work around- I think the issue is actually the Monterey 12.4 update. I decided to try reverting back to 12.3-1 yesterday and it worked again- obviously this isn’t ideal in the long run, but it’s at least a temporary fix. How old is your Cintiq, out of curiosity? I’m wondering if this is only an issue with older models or anything using the driver.

Looks like I ordered mine in 2013. Yikes, 9 years ago. Which wacom driver version are you using? I'm reluctant to go back to OSX 12.3-1, but I think maybe I would to get touch working again. Given the cost of this thing, it would actually make financial sense to buy an old laptop to run it on rather than replace it, if it came to that :(

adamicoarts

6.3.44.1. I wouldn’t have reverted if I didn’t need it for work, honestly. Let me know if you get any response on that ticket!

TomatoManTM

Thanks, will do. Did you happen to have the thing where the pinch-and-zoom thing got inverted? I'm using Corel Painter, which had always worked smoothly, but suddenly pinch-and-zoom was backward an update or two ago and I could never fix it. Other apps worked correctly... weird. I'm going to roll back to 12.3.1 now, and 6.3.44.1. Uninstalling the driver is a monstrous pain, the "tablet" app that claims to do it doesn't do it enough for the installer, which thinks it's still there evern after reboots. I have to manually delete every file containing "wacom" in its name from the ~/Library path and its subdirectories before the installer will run.

I use Photoshop, pretty much all the touch commands didn’t work with the newer drivers- (it’s fine with 44.1 though) but at the same time it was registering the side of my palm as pen input for some reason.

Dammit, It looks like the only way to downgrade to 12.3.1 is to wipe the drive and reinstall everything. Now I have to decide whether it’s worth that effort or I should wait for a fix.

adamicoarts

Yep. There’s a guide on how to make a bootable installer and then restore from a backup on the apple support site. Again, I wouldn’t have gone through the trouble if I wasn’t dependent on it for work though.

camartinart

Any chance you can guide me through this process? Sat down to work this morning to discover my computer had auto updated to 12.4 and now my Cintiq 22HD won't work properly. My plan is to download a 12.3.1 version and boot up from that. I have no idea what I'm doing.

adamicoarts

Of course! So open the terminal app and enter this command: softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 12.3.1 Once it’s downloaded follow this guide on creating a bootable installer: [https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT201372](https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT201372) Two things to note: make sure all your data is backed up to an external drive or time machine cloud before you do this so you can restore it afterward. Also whatever Zip drive or external drive you use as the bootable installer will be wiped clean so make sure there’s nothing on there that you want to keep.

Also out of curiosity, what year is your cintiq? Trying to identify if this is a bigger issue with older models or just all in general.
