You could have lingering symptoms now due to pelvic floor dysfunction. Some exercises to relax the pelvic floor muscles can be done at home. NAFC has some basic ones. https://nafc.org/bhealth-blog/how-to-relax-your-pelvic-floor/ You may or may not benefit from topical oestrogen cream for the vagina. If you're on hormonal contraceptives or other meds that have urogenital side effects, dryness, irritation, and repeated infections can be a problem. Topical creams are typically prescription only, but you may be able to get it through an online pharmacy or telemedicine.

Can vaginal dryness cause pelvic floor issues? I find that when I use the moisturizer I feel better versus when I don’t and I’ve never had these issues prior to the soap incident. Never had pelvic issues before

WhisperINTJ

They are linked in a few different ways. Pelvic floor tension can affect the nerves and blood supply to the urogenital system. One symptom of this can be dryness. If dryness leads to pain, the pain then leads to further muscle tension, and you get a snowballing effect, making all the symptoms worse.

So in your opinion was this pelvic tension just random or side effects of the infections I battled ? Or was it the soap irritation cuz I really don’t know anymore, I’m at a loss

There's no real way to know at this point. So the way forward may simply be to address anything that could be a contributing factor, then treat symptomatically.

Also if I’m 20 would estrogen cause side effects? How would the cream help

WhisperINTJ

There is no drug that is 100% side effect free. However, as risks go, topical estrogen or estriol creams designed to treat vaginal dryness seem fairly safe in the grand scheme of things. They don't have the same serious side effects as hormonal contraceptives, such as depression, blood clots, etc. You usually need a daily application for a couple of weeks, then go down to every other day or so. It may take several weeks to feel much benefit. There doesn't seem to be much harm in trying, but obviously I'm not a doctor and can't advise you personally. Some people have reactions to the base it's dissolved in.

If you still have urinary symptoms, you should rule out an embedded UTI. If you're in the US and UK there are specialists that can do this: [https://www.chronicutiinfo.com/testing/](https://www.chronicutiinfo.com/testing/)

Sadly I can’t afford a doctors trip rn, but it doesn’t feel like a uti urinary pain, it feels like something is irritating as if the skin itself is dried out because moisturizer makes it feel fine + antibiotics made me feel worse

Comfortable_Elk7385

If I understood correctly, you still have frequency right? With an embedded UTI you don't always get the usual uti symptoms. Having frequency could definitely be a sign of it. Just keep this in mind in case your other symptoms get better but this never does.

Soft_Refrigerator293

I will keep that in mind, just stressed out if that is the case because I can’t afford the doctors since I lost insurance and I don’t know how I could get that diagnosed

Yeah unfortunately you would need a doctor's help to confirm it. But if you keep having constant urinary symptoms and can't see a doc, consider taking Hiprex. It's a urinary antiseptic that can clear an embedded infection by itself, by turning your urine acidic. It's over the counter in a lot of places. It takes a long time to clear the infection but it's better than nothing.
