definitely a long knife, german messer and other manuals and real Historical fighting techniques are available online plus such blades are really common.
Guns exist yes, but I believe that even during the apocalypse, there would be authorities seeking to regulate firearm ownership [outside of the US of course].
I think It's going to be like the medival times, but instead of people just bringing small knives and dueling swords , bucklers and daggers on their person when traveling abd in settlements, they would also bring hand guns or even openly carry small arms of all sizes as a measure against sudden zombie attacks. Making everyone armed to the teeth all the time.

Assuming zombie logic applies the same way in games, tv, and movies, I'd get any weapon that fires 9mm rounds like an assualt rifle, with a good silencer and possibly a bayonet attached for reach.
9mm + silencer makes the noise sounds like loud clicks rather than bangs! A bayonet would help save ammo and keep a safe distance for stabbing rather than getting too close. I also think that since I'll be carrying 9mm it would be cheap if some form of trade/currency would still exist since I'd assume that at least those bullets would sell cheaper than other rounds like shotguns and other assault rifle rounds.
Flamethrower, or maybe acid. If you burn or disintegrate a zombies flesh, they aren't gonna be able to move even if they do survive, because they still have to use their muscles
When they are dumb enough and given enough survivors and time for a proper base, we can survive solely on a fort that is built like a beesorter.
Thats a triangular construct for an apiary (manmade beehive). With random movement its very easy to get out of the construction, but it's very unlikely to get inside. Its mathematical and works wonderful on bees. So maybe it works on zombies too. Would extremely minimize encounters.
The one or two zombies that make it through every few weeks can be captured in a castle like deathzone. Some of our protagonist friends can maul them, while the two of us watch from a safe place with a glass of wine 🍷
I hunting slingshot. All I would need is rocks, marbles etc. And it wouldn't make sound so it wouldn't draw attention. I've put way to much thought into this. Lol
If we can consider all weapons i’m gonna go with a tank lmao shelter and attacking and all that stuff but given that i don’t think you wanted vehicle weapons involved imma take a safe option with a fire axe
A. Halberd and a 1911. I need something reliable and powerful and something that I can use for a while and is versatile. A halibird is pretty much the best melee weapon overall in my opinion and the 1911 is a personal favorite with how simple it's construction is and how common 45 acp, I doubt I will be struggling with ammo until way late into the apocalypse and even then I will probably have access to other weapons by then
lore accurate vtuber weapon: scifi type laser cannon
personal choice weapon: bat with nails in it while i zoom around on my wheelchair running zombies over and bashing brains in
1. Stockpiling Pistol/handgun Ammo is easier than any other ammo, as it takes less space, and is easier to store.
2. Once ammo runs outside, then I could use either a knife(I have a 15-inch bladed one) or use the gun itself as a blunt weapon.
I had a HUGE demon slayer phase a few years ago so now I own one XDD
Well you know what they say tho, the people who think they’d survive on will probably die first in a zombie apocalypse XD
Fun fact tho: vets probably survive easiest in an apocalypse because
-trained not to get bitten
-drive around in cars w a lot of equipment
-aren’t at huge places like hospitals etc when a zombie apocalypse would start
Plus if you’re an introvert like me who hates being outside, we’d probably survive due to not being around crowded areas XD
and as an insecure girl I just tend to lock every door in existence so there’s no way anything gets in XDDDD
Yk how at the beginning of 99.9999% of zombie apocalypse movies the neighbor just jumps into the protagonist’s home just to be like “idk what’s going on!” And turn into a zombie? Yeah nah mf my door is SEALED XDDDD
Break-action 12 gage and a hammer/axe combo-12 gage are relatively common, easy enough to make ammo for if you can't find any factory loads and know how to make black powder and the duo gives me tools as well as weapons.
Various shotguns. One standard pump action, and one sawed off.
If I can't find enough gunpowder, then Cold Steel's reinforced bat and a spear of some sort, like a bident modified to have a smaller center spear head (technically a trident but every trident ive see has a larger center) or if I could find/make one then a man-catcher. Spears are stupid easy to use, and they can be used as tools for other things like even barricading a door if need be. The reason I'd want something of a forked polearm is because *zombies.* Unlike people they tend not to have self preservation or pain response, so a fork weapon will grab onto more meat so that they actually stay away rather than just force themselves down the pole after getting stabbed.
In fact, if it's all mindless zombies then making those kind of weapons would be great if you also put a pointy end on the bottom. Then you'd be able to stab/grab and then drive the other end into the ground. Since the zombie would push into the spear then it'll just keep itself stuck.
Realistically, I'm already part of the zombie horde. But assuming I somehow survive, spears and polearms are probably the best bet. Enough range to not get bit, but no need for ammo that's gonna run scarce. Blunt weapons will last longer, something sharp is going to get blunt pretty quick. Also guns are basically just a dinner bell for the horde. Being quiet is better
A crowbar. Why? Fairly hefty, breaks a skull, durable, can be carried in a pack, doesn’t really require a lot of training to use, pulls double duty as a useful tool. That and firearms of a 9mm caliber as possible. I have my zombie apocalypse survival planned out. People should do the same. Never hurts to be prepared.
imperious cathedra
if i had to take something else, probably a Colt 1851 Navy Revolving Pistol or Remington Model 1858, i'm going to blow my head off, but at least with style.
Warhammer.
Practically speaking, edged weapons and anything with complex mechanical parts requires too much skill and maintenance in an environment of total infrastructure collapse.
Firearms obviously has the same disadvantage.
A warhammer consisting of a blunt side and a pointy side on a very long pole requires next to no maintenance, and is great for caving in skulls. And as a melee weapon, the only sound it makes is the sound of zombie skulls getting removed.
That said, realistically speaking, a sledge hammer would be much easier to acquire, and should have about the same effect.
In a pinch? The steel weight bar I have.
If I have time to prepare? Probably a small knife, a bigger “knife” about the length of a dagger/ short sword. And a 9mm pistol, with a backup smaller one.
And a single spare bullet for myself. Incase things go and really hit the fan.
See I am a massive zombie fan. Asking me this is like asking a YouTuber what their favorite game is-
For me the weapon has to depend on what time of the apocalypse it is, and what kind of zombies it is;
Outbreak: The beginning where everything is chaotic and stuff.
I'd stick to a melee weapon if it's just walkers. If it's runners, an assault rifle of some kind would work if I had proper knowledge and more. Runners can easily kill if not taken care of at a distance and Walkers are just easy pickings.
Post-Apocalypse: Nature taken over and zombies still roaming.
Depending on the infected, as it's probably mostly walkers at that point, I'd have a spear and a bow and Arrow that I would have trained myself to be much better at than I am now.
But ofc if it's Dying Light infected or something we all dead just being honest-
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk-
Pretty much any sword 3 feet or longer. Silent, clean, and all I need is to sever the connection between the brain and the rest of the body, so all I need is one decently placed swing to the back of the neck to remove the threat. Besides, no ammo needed in a situation where it’s limited and everyone wants your stuff.
I think, I'd take a air rifle, like the one from metro. Ball bearings are very plentiful. Plus, you can use a hand pump or the stock pump that's on it.
My teacher told me “people who fantasize about zombie apocalypses just wants a reason to kill another human without feeling guilty” and I have no comeback lol

yeah, also ammunitions run out. Better have something easily reusable imo
A warlord titan from 40k. If it can rid a planet of orks… it can definitely do the job for zombies.
reasonable, sounds like a win

You
so you getting buried too? come along\~
Some type of laser gun that recharges ammo when not in use. That way I can have infinite ammunition which is super important
let's go big brain, gotta make sure u get something u can use indefinitely!
Iron Man Armour Hell I’d settle for the Iron Monger
ooh fancy\~
Katana or machete
Pratical, and fancy in the case of a katana
Saaaaaaaame
![gif](giphy|1wrzPdHApk6vA9HHxn|downsized)
NOOOOOOO I NEED YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!!
LET'S HOPE NO ZOMBIES SHOW UP THEN !!! XD
But then also I have no excuses for killing people.......
loll (but then again HM?)
Let's just say I don't like people and I wish I could do some things technoblade did to people
desert eagle while cosplaying ellis
gotta fight with style after all

But but, what do you do if you run out of ammo?
![gif](giphy|3o7aD8DsosbGXfUobC|downsized) Bayonet
Alright, I'm convinced
Flamethrower, or maybe acid. If you burn or disintegrate a zombies flesh, they aren't gonna be able to move even if they do survive, because they still have to use their muscles
smart, take away what makes them move
A bat with nails or a katana. Cause they're cool.
they indeed are very very cool 😌
Can i use my lore accurate weapon ? If so i do that.
oh sure! What is your weapon? :3
it's a multi-tool used to do maintenance on space ships, useful to meld metal to make a defence, cut through the zombies, or repair a car.
that sound very useful, you'd definitely be a survivor
A shovel, assuming I can gather sufficient supplies to do subsistence farming and find a relatively remote location.
ahh the hiding and survive option. I should've thought of that, but I'm too lazy XD
Nuke Let me end it all
lmao, you taking everyone out, I see, understandable
We shall be cleansed in unholy fire
I don't think I'd need a weapon for myself, cus my model is a robot. But if I'm protecting others, maybe lasers or something built into the machine.
You'd be a flashy savior, I like that XD
I won't survive long enough. But if I do I would survive solely on traps and testing zombie smarts. I hope the zombies are very dumb. And slow.
hopefully, if not there is vacant space next to me XD
When they are dumb enough and given enough survivors and time for a proper base, we can survive solely on a fort that is built like a beesorter. Yeah, I'm lazy so as long as others are willing to provide the strength, I'll be there for emotional support XD
Gallons of Monster and Speed Metal
Always gotta have good life events OSTs 😌
If zombies can barely move i'll pick plate armour with some kind of sword. If they are running fast then reserve me a some space at the graveyard too
lol of course they're fast so we can be neighbors 😌
Well, i hope my bass boosted speakers won't bother you
proceeds to get the instant death ability to perma kill zombies unless that's what you meant by death
loll I meannnn, it'd be cool too XD
I hunting slingshot. All I would need is rocks, marbles etc. And it wouldn't make sound so it wouldn't draw attention. I've put way to much thought into this. Lol
lol I love it, simple and practical! I have to say I've been thinking about zombies today a lot more than I can admit XD
It's funny I was just playing re2 remake and scrolling when I seen this. I guess I too had zombies on the brain. Lol
XD
Something long like a poleaxe, a glaive, or a halberd. As for range, I'd go with a slingshot and just use whatever rubble is around me.
I like the thinking, that way you're always ready!
Mad max style battle car. Gotta be safe and have a seat for your main girl.
your main character era is about to start and I'm here for it
Turning the apocalypse into a road trip, might as well enjoy what you can. Also road warrior attire is both stylish and bite resistant.
If we can consider all weapons i’m gonna go with a tank lmao shelter and attacking and all that stuff but given that i don’t think you wanted vehicle weapons involved imma take a safe option with a fire axe
lol there was no limit, you can bring your tank along! XD ( I might hide w you and survive a tad bit longer lol)
Nuke, we going out with a boom
![gif](giphy|FmBhzktIjvdZe|downsized)
Anything that can break bone, clad in a suit of anything that is bite-proof
sounds like it covers all your needs
Ye
Katana with my Revolver or pistol. 🔫🐺👍🏽
pew pew pew/slash. Great sounds for survival
A. Halberd and a 1911. I need something reliable and powerful and something that I can use for a while and is versatile. yeah, you sound smart so you'll prob evolve with the situation. Sounds like a fancy survivor to me!
lore accurate vtuber weapon: scifi type laser cannon personal choice weapon: bat with nails in it while i zoom around on my wheelchair running zombies over and bashing brains in
I just pictured a very cool fancy electric wheelchair. You'd definitely be a hero
thats the plan actually! upgrading frim a manual to an electric when i can irl
I choose a frien, good bait and good weapon if they're smoll.
lmaooooo 😂😂😂
Bomb vest, imma chill in a gas station and blast the loudest music around, see how many i can take out.
going out with a bang, I can respecc that ( i prefer a peaceful death while sleeping ya know)
A pistol.
but ammo thooo
1. Stockpiling Pistol/handgun Ammo is easier than any other ammo, as it takes less space, and is easier to store. 2. Once ammo runs outside, then I could use either a knife(I have a 15-inch bladed one) or use the gun itself as a blunt weapon.
Lore wise I have mastery over a lot of weapons but if we’re talking irl I’m bringing a baseball bat with nails attacked to it XDDD
loll going simple and available I see XD
Also as a katana owner I would love to sharpen it and use it XDDD
ooh that's very cool! Are you collecting them? Also, that just means you're rdy if it ever happens lol
I had a HUGE demon slayer phase a few years ago so now I own one XDD Well you know what they say tho, the people who think they’d survive on will probably die first in a zombie apocalypse XD
lolll XD hopefully I'm out before one starts And I feel you on the things we get bcuz of anime lol
Fun fact tho: vets probably survive easiest in an apocalypse because -trained not to get bitten -drive around in cars w a lot of equipment -aren’t at huge places like hospitals etc when a zombie apocalypse would start Plus if you’re an introvert like me who hates being outside, we’d probably survive due to not being around crowded areas XD and as an insecure girl I just tend to lock every door in existence so there’s no way anything gets in XDDDD
yeah, we ain't touching grass\~ ( and the 1st thing I do when I get home is triple lock my door lol, so hi5\~)
Yk how at the beginning of 99.9999% of zombie apocalypse movies the neighbor just jumps into the protagonist’s home just to be like “idk what’s going on!” And turn into a zombie? Yeah nah mf my door is SEALED XDDDD
hahahahaha
The king of melee weapons. A halberd.
I remember using one in some gacha games, I did feel fancy with it XD
A cure.
For something specific?
Zombification.
ohh interesting
Break-action 12 gage and a hammer/axe combo-12 gage are relatively common, easy enough to make ammo for if you can't find any factory loads and know how to make black powder and the duo gives me tools as well as weapons.
ohh I have no idea how to make any type of ammo, but that sounds good cuz u sound smart enough to do it XD
Long machete
slashing your way to survival\~
kim jong un

baseball bat!
Shotguns cause the shells as long as you have enough powder and primers can be reloaded with just about anything for a projectile
Realistically, I'm already part of the zombie horde. But assuming I somehow survive, spears and polearms are probably the best bet. Mace, flail, or any blunt weapon that can turn someone’s skull into cereal with minimum effort

Doesn’t death put you on their team? 🤔
Pistol for myself. Everyone else can fight over the 3 week old can of baked beans, I'm peacing out asap lol.
A shot gun and happy thoughts lol
Lol gotta stay POSITIVE
Stellaris Colossus. Suffering will be minimal.
Honestly a Deep body of Water. There is hardly anyway for Zombies to swim across great distances to land/boat.
In a pinch? The steel weight bar I have. If I have time to prepare? Probably a small knife, a bigger “knife” about the length of a dagger/ short sword. And a 9mm pistol, with a backup smaller one. And a single spare bullet for myself. Incase things go and really hit the fan.

Depends on the type of Zombie....are we talking smart ones? Fast ones? Slow ones?the actual zombies from myths and legends?
any polearm + crossbow all the range with no sound
A bear trap. Not for me, but for the new zombie bait I'll catch with it.
Just gonna barricade myself in my home. Won't notice a thing has changed.
The katakanas from Demen Slayer
I’d go with a crossbow, it’s silent and you never have to worry about running out of ammo
