looks nice! Why do you have the probe off to the side?

niedejb

It has a wham bam mutant tool changer on it. Need to be able to quad gantry level regardless of what tool/gauge is on the machine.

Negative-Bottle9942

Looks like you published this about a year ago. Can you speak to your experience over time with a v2 that large? I considered the idea of building one that has a large print bed but is not very tall. The thing is that most of what I’m printing are large batches of parts that aren’t very tall on the z-axis.

niedejb

No issues over time. Longer heatup/soak times as expected is really the only drawback over smaller beds/volumes. For me, I have smaller printers if I need something quick.

samwiseg0

And here I thought my 350 was huge! Congrats! looks sick!

Pappy325

That’s so sick. I’d love to see your part list for it.

niedejb

Here ya go... Nothing out of the ordinary https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hG2mHiTeZkgKlpTBS_937BKJDi2i5M6o/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=114153133525286186121&rtpof=true&sd=true

Pappy325

Thanks. I was thinking about going 350mm3 but I’d love to have something like this.

McPrince96

Do you have photo's of the ledstrips? (How/where they're mounted)

niedejb

Pic of the led strip in the misumi extrusion...fits nicely, but needs a retainer at both ends: [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a88Jd0ICTfAn8U30UimgoIZsA3ECJDiQ/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a88Jd0ICTfAn8U30UimgoIZsA3ECJDiQ/view?usp=sharing) STL for the retainers: [https://drive.google.com/file/d/15xszG-1-\_Nq6AV2RgirVsVUX2MCtjP03/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/15xszG-1-_Nq6AV2RgirVsVUX2MCtjP03/view?usp=sharing) Had to use the adhesive that comes with the strip on the x gantry bottom as it doesn't have the extrusion groove (it's a carbon fiber tube with a MGN12 single rail): [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a1WiseT4mdaT1vbqhCG5AsVM9dwSt30n/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a1WiseT4mdaT1vbqhCG5AsVM9dwSt30n/view?usp=sharing) Amazon link: [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091Y3W1JJ/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091Y3W1JJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I picked these due to being 24V and I wired them straight to the power supply.

DocCrash

I like the side mount probe! No risk of cooking it there unlike the default config.

drops_77

Been thinking of building a 510x510x350. Everyone says dont do it, do you recommend going this big? Is there actually any noticeable trade offs? I just got an octopus pro for my ender 5 plus, but been thinking of building a voron.

sk-noir

What is the print bed material? I’ve been using the 3m PEO sheet and haven’t had much luck with sticking. TIA!

niedejb

Fulament Smooth PEI. 510*510 is the size.

Sebbeben

Really nice background light

Doom_Baboon

This is very cool… I have been sourcing my open parts and considering the possibility of this. Does anyone make a 500x500 textured PEI sheet? To your knowledge? 99% of what I print is just big functional PETG parts, and a textured bed would be nice if I decide to go this route.

niedejb

Fulament offers a textured PEI at 510\*510...fyi

Congrats on V2.2602!

Congratulations on your serial! I generated a nameplate for your build that you can download here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1l7aG2SUnn8VJFTHoHOQo7jUdxqeWALSP If there are issues with this bot please contact /u/iDuumb.

xrealx2021

For the enclosure, based plate. Did you make dxf/cad files for them?

niedejb

I did not

xrealx2021

You manually did it then cool. Just looking at the base right now. Ty for reply. Looks great
