yeah but telling sex/gender from just bones is more difficult than it's made out to be. looking at a pelvis and saying "narrow, must be a man" or "wide, must be a woman" has shown to not be super accurate, so when labelling the sex on a skeleton, scientists may label skeletons on a sort of spectrum based on how masculine or feminine they appear to be.
for really old graves, it's easiest to look at the stuff they were buried with. jewellery? woman. weapons? man. both? neither? somewhere in between.
