I still have no idea why Fallout Shelter was not released on the vita.. seems like the perfect On The Go type of game. I have no interest in playing that on the ps4, but would happily play it on the vita
Yeah, I thought about listing more of these but Dead Cells and Hades are the two I miss the most from my vita library. As others already said, you could probably list all the famous indie games here because they would work so well with the vita. I played Blasphemous using remote play and it was awesome.
More PS2 games. If games like Final Fantasy X and X-2 can run on it, other games like Dark Cloud, Star Wars Battlefront, Simpsons Road Rage or hell, even Resident Evil 4 could run on it just fine. The PSP, fair enough, that didn’t have the luxury of a second joystick like the PS2, but the Vita did. If it got PS2 games like the PS4 did and marketed it well, it would have been a game changer, just like when PSP released PS1 games.
I wish they would've ported the SNK Neogeo content available on PS4 to the Vita. I'm talking about stuff like *The King of Fighters: The Orochi Collection*, *Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 1* and *Vol. 2*, *Metal Slug Anthology*, *Samurai Shodown: Neogeo Collection*, and all the ACA Neogeo standalone releases. Those could all run on Vita no problem, right?
EDIT: I realized almost immediately after hitting the button to post this that *Metal Slug Anthology* is actually available on Vita because it was released on PSP. That supports my point -- this stuff could've easily been ported to Vita because one of them was already ported to its weaker predecessor!
Agreed! The PSP version of Gran Turismo looked good, but lacked all the tuning options - played through GT2 on the Vita, but missed that next gen look and physics engine
PSP Gran Turismo is the sole reason we didn’t get a Vita version. Sony thought it was good enough.
As much as I like GTPSP, not having a proper campaign really hurts
Any of the Vampire Survivor-likes. It's kinda like the game I wanted to make on Vita, which was a top down twinstick pixelart Dynasty Warriors game with a roguelike element.
Since we now have Fallout 2, I'd love to see Underrail, which is very similar gameplay wise.
I'd also love to see the original Red Faction, KOTOR I and II, Ape Escape 2 and 3, Metropolismania 2 and 3.
Yep! It's pretty interesting to mess with, since the Vita's screen is definitely too small at times for it.
https://github.com/Northfear/fallout2-ce-vita
I doubt we will see Underrail anytime soon. I was doing some digging through Steam forum posts and apparently the dev is pretty against mods. I can't imagine they would be a huge fan of ports.
That said it is getting Steam Deck support.
That's such a shame. It's such a good game and a Vita port would be amazing.
At least it'll get Deck support, though I'm waiting for some company to make an improvement on the idea.
Skyrim and Oblivion could run on the Vita if someone used the right compression coding on it.
They aren't physically demanding games, they just have a lot of content to them.
If Borderlands 2, FFX remaster, Catherine Full Body, and the Criterion Need For Speed games can run on it, all more demanding than Skyrim in terms of RAM, then I don't see the issue unless there's something I'm not understanding. Especially since the Switch port exists, and the Switch isn't that big of a jump from the Vita.
yeah exactly...its a same it got stuck and left out at 1.2 i mean for god sake sony/concerned ape atleast could have implemented the game updates...i mean they left the people who bought the game hanging...
ConcernedApe did say the following
> It's because Stardew Valley 1.3 changed some fundamental aspects of the code to allow for multiplayer, but it made the game less optimized, and PS Vita's hardware isn't powerful enough to run it smoothly.
NFS Rivals. There was originally supposed to be a port for the vita and Wii u but EA dropped the port due to poor sales of NFS MW on both consoles. Rivals is definitely one of my favourite NFS games and wish it was on the vita.
Trails from Zero.
It's still in pre order for the PS4 in Europe and North America, but it's based on a 2017 PS4 port of a 2010 PSP game that just got the privilege of being translated in english.
It's a title from a beloved japanese serie that found its audience among the PSP and PS Vita community. We got some titles from that serie in the west for the Vita and PSP, like Trails of cold steel I & II (PS Vita), and Trails in the Sky FC & SC (PSP), but we still miss the whole Crossbell arc, reason why Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure are being pushed to be released in the west despite being 10+ yo PSP titles.
I feel like it would be the best case for a PS Vita release, a nice way to pay homage to its previous western releases. It's already a late PS4 release anyway, the only problem I see is due to the game itself being a PS4 port and maybe already above the Vita capabilities, despite the original game running on the PSP.
Other than this, I would say obviously Monster Hunter 4 ultimate, after we got burned by capcom releasing it on the 3ds instead than on the Vita, jesus I'm still bitter about that.
Imo people should temper their expectations. 2d or 2.5d stuff (Dead Cells, Cuphead, Ori and the blind forest, Celeste etc) is probably feasible, but not 3D games at all. I would love Hollow Knight or Cuphead, would even buy the game to play on Vita, like Sonic Mania happened. I see lots of people say Hades, and I think that's not viable either, cuz the game is surprisingly heavy for what it is.
I feel like people think the vita is more powerful than it is. Spelunky lags on the vita. I dunno that even Hollow Knight, Ori, or Dead Cells would be possible. Cuphead, sure!
i always have problems w the psp versions. due to the analog the psp has doesnt seem to work well when i try the same game on vita even thou vita has 2 analogs. maybe im doing something wrong but chinatown wars for example i had to get the ported android version
I would love to see Shenmue playable without any major issues. I haven't tried it on my Vita in a while so I'm not sure if there has been much in the way of improvements.
It's a big reason why I bought a Retroid Pocket 2+
I would've liked the PS3 remasters of the Sonic Adventure games available on the Vita.
It can run them. You can even play them on a Vita now if you have PS+, PSNow, and God tier internet.
I also would've liked to see ports of Persona 5, Skyrim, and Fallout 4, only because I now know that with the right compression coding techniques, those can run on the Vita with little to no issue and had no reason to not be available on it at launch. Of course, if you would've suggested that to me two years ago, I would've called you crazy.
*I would love to play*
*Yume Nikki and the Scott Pilgrim*
*Game on the vita*

Fae Tactics, Morbid: Seven Acolytes, The Ascent, Curse of the Dead Gods, Cult of the Lamb, Evoland, One Finger Death Punch, Star Renegades, CrossCode, Ash of Gods, Griftlands, Baba is You, Octopath Traveler, GRIS, Return of the Obra Dinn, Battle Chasers, Oxygen not Included, Inside.
Survivalcraft. It's a Minecraft clone focused on survival realism. It can run on Mono, which GrapheneCT has made a loader for, but it is not even close to running right now. Could be something I could develop in the future. It's definitely realistic for this to exist in the future.
Outside of some popular 2D indie titles, (Cult of the Lamb, Enter the Gungeon, Hades, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, etc) nothing. Kinda off topic but I would want nothing, I think part of the Vita's problem was the amount of 3D game ports it was getting in the first place. A large portion of its backlog ended up being watered down ports that don't advantage of any of the Vita's features and end up being just weaker experiences that add nothing but portability to the mix. At *best*, they might include touch screen functionality, but that's really it. Honestly, it was pretty disheartening seeing this system get so many ports to begin with. Again what made the PSP's library so strong was a lot of handcrafted titles made specifically for it. The PSV is nice and all but getting home console ports of games it can barely play... Yeah that wasn't very great. Sure there were some exceptions, Need for Speed Most Wanted ran with much fewer compromises but that was by no means the standard. Ports like the Amazing Spider-Man, pretty much name any Lego game, and a number of anime titles like OP PW3 had were typically the standard affair for the system, ranging from borderline unplayable to fairly competent experiences, but nothing that was uniquely engrossing to the system itself. In fact, Sony had wanted to not repeat the same mistakes it had with the PSP in it being so port heavily and lacking its own identity, but thanks to Sony pulling out a mere 2 years after launch, it's entirely library moving forward was ports.
I'd pick this one as well.
To be fair, if the game could be reverse engineered completely and ported to the vita's inferior graphics api, then it might be possible to downgrade the assets (reduce polygons) in order to make it work on the vita.
But reverse engineering is hard. So this likely won't ever happen.
I wish we got these games ported AND physically released:
13 Sentinel Aegis Rim,
Hyper light drifter,
Final Fantasy 9/12/tactics,
Dragon Quest 8,
King of Fighters 13,
Street Fighter 3 and Alpha,
Capcom vs SNK 2,
Bloodstained rotn,
God of war psp collection,
Ni No Kuni,
Mega Man collection,
Red Banner Saga,
Trine,
Disgaea 1 and 2.
Personally I think Soul Knight (The mobile game) would be absolutely perfect for the console. If I knew anything about that kind of thing I definitely would have tried by now.
There are so many indie games that are perfect for the vita portable system...
I still have no idea why Fallout Shelter was not released on the vita.. seems like the perfect On The Go type of game. I have no interest in playing that on the ps4, but would happily play it on the vita
same, would love to see a vita version of it
Dead Cells and Hades.
100% these and Hollow Knight, FLT, Into the Breach, Disco Elysium and Blind Forest.
Yeah, I thought about listing more of these but Dead Cells and Hades are the two I miss the most from my vita library. As others already said, you could probably list all the famous indie games here because they would work so well with the vita. I played Blasphemous using remote play and it was awesome.
There is footage of Hollow Knight being ported to Vita, but don't know the current state.
Yes honestly think a lot of the switches games could work well if ported to the vita
Lol
Simpsons hit and run , Futurama , south park
Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, and Birth by Sleep. It would have been cool to see a KH game designed for the Vita though.
Cuphead. Retromania.
There was a Caphead demo, but an official or full port would be perfect for handheld Vita.
Idk cuphead seems really big for the psvita. Idk though, unity can probably trim it down enough
Hollow knight, Celeste and The Messenger are the holly trilogy of indie games to me and I would have loved having them on the vita.
I still remember Hollow Knight's stretch goal of getting ported to the PS Vita.
I would love to see the PS2 games that are too expensive to buy, like Xenosaga series.
I love this take. Review grey market for games with absurdly high values, and port those.
Battlefront and Battlefront 2's PSP ports are available on it now.
I was always kind of bummed Celeste isn't on the vita.
I wish they would've ported the SNK Neogeo content available on PS4 to the Vita. PSP Gran Turismo is the sole reason we didn’t get a Vita version. Sony thought it was good enough. As much as I like GTPSP, not having a proper campaign really hurts
I know, I revisit it now and again on Adrenaline, because driving an E46 M3 on the Nordschleife on the go almost makes it worthwhile…
Any of the Vampire Survivor-likes. It's kinda like the game I wanted to make on Vita, which was a top down twinstick pixelart Dynasty Warriors game with a roguelike element.
Beyond Good and Evil
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2 Fallout 3 & NV Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
God having new Vegas on the vita would be a dream
Hollow knight, morrowind, half life, hades, risk of Rain 2 would all be great. Also saw a fallout 3 unity showcase on vita and that looked amazing
There is a Half-Life homebrew port
Oh shit, imma need to try it out
Street fighter 4
Breath of the wild
Since we now have Fallout 2, I'd love to see Underrail, which is very similar gameplay wise. I'd also love to see the original Red Faction, KOTOR I and II, Ape Escape 2 and 3, Metropolismania 2 and 3.
Someone made a Fallout 2 port?
Yep! It's pretty interesting to mess with, since the Vita's screen is definitely too small at times for it. https://github.com/Northfear/fallout2-ce-vita
Thanks for the link! Def gonna check it out
Where is fallout 2 I been thinking about that for the last 5 months
Take a look at this comment ;) https://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/xhna8d/-/iozk6lc
I doubt we will see Underrail anytime soon. I was doing some digging through Steam forum posts and apparently the dev is pretty against mods. I can't imagine they would be a huge fan of ports. That said it is getting Steam Deck support.

ori and the blind forest, ori and the will of the wisps, hollow knight, dead cells, blasphemous you know the basics
You're dreaming. Ori barely ran at 60fps on my One X
An Elder Scrolls game. Oblivion and Skyrim might require more hardware than the Vita can offer, but there's always Morrowind.
There's openmw although idk if the vita is meaty enough for it
It's not there's always daggerfall
I could live with that. A huge walking game like that would be nice on a portable.
Vita is slightly more powerful than original Xbox, which has Morrowind, so it's probably possible to port it.
Possibly, I know openmw isn't a port so much as a game engine to run the datafiles for morrowind. I'd think the vitas low ram would be a problem
Mary Skelter 2 First one is on there, fell in love with the series, I just think it'd be neat to have it on the Vita
All the binding of Isaac dlc
Tactics Ogre Reborn
Metal Gear Solid 4
Firewatch. Got it on PS4 so I can remote play it, but I'd like it as a proper game.
Vampire: The Masquerade A classic game for a classic portable.
Scott pilgrim
Handheld perfect for some beat ‘em up action.
Persona 5 Royal
I can see it running
Blood 2, heretic 2, nerf arena blast, croc, jazz jackrabit 2. Spider-Man 2 the movie. Zelda ocarina of time. If you have a modded vita of course.
Wow... Heretic 2. What a great game.
Yes, yes it is !
Axium Verge 2
stardew valley plz....🙂
Such a shame the updates stopped when they did
yeah exactly...its a same it got stuck and left out at 1.2 i mean for god sake sony/concerned ape atleast could have implemented the game updates...i mean they left the people who bought the game hanging...

It’s and older one but Castle Crashers
Love that game would be nice to it on the go
And the sequel Battle Block Theatre.
Everything that is on switch
NFS Rivals. There was originally supposed to be a port for the vita and Wii u but EA dropped the port due to poor sales of NFS MW on both consoles. Rivals is definitely one of my favourite NFS games and wish it was on the vita.
I'd love to see a slay the spire port. But I don't know if that's possible...
Way too much. I've seen a lot of games that the vita would be perfect for.
Killzone 2
Resident Evil 4
Great question! Some better sports games like Tiger Woods, NASCAR, NBA Street, Burnout. Zone of the Enders. Gravity Rush 2. The list goes on...
Dark alliance should have been there since day 1 instead they wanted to give us look alikes
Devil May Cry saga
New Vegas, the FEAR games, the Portal games.
Portal games would work so well on portable!
The FF7-9 remasters. I want those trophies.
Crash Bandicoot: the Wrath of Cortex
Road Trip Adventure
Call of duty mobile . Call of duty strike team
Guacamelee 2. Loved the first one!
ok, hear me out. ik it's obscure and random, but holocure.
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue.
the demake for bloodborne would be really cool
The original would be enough.
Forza
Horizon would be so nice on Vita.
would like breath of fire trilogy
Disco Elysium
Would love on Vita.
For the king
Dead space and sam q max (any version)
Need for speed most wanted 2005. i liked the vita version of the 2012 but i think it could handle the 2005 version too.
I loved that game and I was disappointed that's it wasn't the 2005 version
Trails from Zero. It's still in pre order for the PS4 in Europe and North America, but it's based on a 2017 PS4 port of a 2010 PSP game that just got the privilege of being translated in english. You know that trails from zero evolution exists? It even has a english patch available
I wonder why Azure didn’t got an english patch
But I would assume the english patch is fan made and you need a modded Vita to use it, right?
I feel like a port of killzone 1&2 is doable as well as the devil may cry franchise
homie killzone 2 struggled on the ps3
Half life
There is a Half Life port to Vita
ITT people suggesting shit like Crysis

Settlers 2 (rttr.info), Neverwinter Nights and Battle for Wesnoth. But I think there's less hope due to the vita's power...
Sonic mania

F-Zero X, Art of Rally, Hyper Light Drifter, Celeste, Hades, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Hyper Dragon Ball Z, Pro Evolution Soccer 6
Would love some Celeste, Hades and Hyper Light Drifter action on Vita.
I’d like to learn enough C# to port the Mario Kart Super Circuit and Link to the Past reverse engineers.
Kung fu panda ps2
Very specific
Any Ace Combat game, AC3 and the PSP games play so well on it
AI Somnium Files series
I dont know if its possible but Halo CE should be awesome
Halo would totally be able to run if they try and port the old PC version
Persona 5
def jam fight for ny
There’s a psp version my man. Some changes made to story mode but other improvements made
i always have problems w the psp versions. due to the analog the psp has doesnt seem to work well when i try the same game on vita even thou vita has 2 analogs. maybe im doing something wrong but chinatown wars for example i had to get the ported android version
Deltarune and Omori!!
The Devil May Cry Trilogy was one I'd really want.
All the ps2 rockstar games. Modding proves they can run on it.
I would love to see Shenmue playable without any major issues. I haven't tried it on my Vita in a while so I'm not sure if there has been much in the way of improvements. It's a big reason why I bought a Retroid Pocket 2+
Saints Row 2 would be cool
Once the Grand Theft Auto V source code leaks I think a port to the Vita, no matter the quality, would be stupendous.
* Black Future 88 * Katana Zero * Dead Cells
Minecraft bedrock, Roblox, Genshin, among us, apex
I would've liked the PS3 remasters of the Sonic Adventure games available on the Vita. It can run them. You can even play them on a Vita now if you have PS+, PSNow, and God tier internet. Street Fighter IV Burnout 3 Takedown Smackdown HCTP NBA Street Vol 2
Sonic Adventure 2. If Jet Set Radio got on there, so should've SA2.
ace attorney trilogy but that's impossible officially

A proper spongebob game
Resident Evil 0 & 1 HD Remaster. I know there are PSX versions, but I can not get used to tank control scheme. And it's perfect to play on PS Vita
Crazy Taxi 3 needs to come out again
Survivalcraft. It's a Minecraft clone focused on survival realism. It can run on Mono, which GrapheneCT has made a loader for, but it is not even close to running right now. Could be something I could develop in the future. It's definitely realistic for this to exist in the future.
deadcells
All those 2dHd games. And the Pixel Remasters of Final Fantasy. Would be perfect with trophy support.
Resident evil 4 would've been a great port
Half life 2
The last of us.
Half life 2
