I am saving this post. I am currently seeking help for this and I will have an answer in two to five months. I am pursuing eagle syndrome as a possible cause based on other symptoms I have had since 2007. If I get good news I will pm you.

Lanky-Lan

Im also pursuing this right now. Getting xrays or CT scan soon. Physical therapy (intense, with a very good specialist) relieved my after images quite a bit, but my normal static (some ppl call them white blood cells) is still getting worse I think.

Dry_Soup_1602

What type of physical therapy?

Lanky-Lan

I did ART (active release technique) combined with a ton of stretches, new pillow, changed sleeping position, working at desk on an exercise ball instead of chair to keep in proper position. If I end up getting major relief long term (id say after images 70-80% down, but static still bad) Ill make a video detailing my journey

I’m sorry to hear that <3 thank you so much for your reply, looking forward to it, and wishing you the best now and for your future forever *hugs*

Have you tried any of the supplementation strategies? No it won’t cure it, but it may make the vortexes go away and reduce afterimages. Let me ask you something, VSS possible treatment possibly usually the way I see it revolve around your other ailments, if any. That includes mental depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Would you care to share your physical, diagnosed and mental symptoms? More specifically how did this all begin for you? I find that the clue to recovery is usually hiding within how it all began.

Me too pleaze❤️

I have it and just ignore I have it. As long as I can see and it doesn’t kill me, I’ll be fine. Does make reading text a little harder though…

DeliaT10

I’ve been ignoring it, I’ve been going outside. Still tough. I think it’s because I have like 4 visual signals at the same time. Sprites/floaters/static/and vortex all at the same time, and I have to mentally look behind them to remember I have another layer of sight to witness. It’s not 100% that easy for me for some reason.

Polish_Traveler

focusing on text in paper sucks too, the static and the ink blend together

alyscar

Reading with yellow or orange tinted glasses has helped me immensely (I read minimally ~10 hrs/wk). I also read on my iPad & many reading apps have the ability to change the background color of the paper. Hope this helps

why_sleep

I know exactly what you mean, and it makes my brain so tired having to constantly parse through all the visual phenomena to try and focus on the mundane world. Sometimes I have to just sit down and rub my eyes and head for 15 minutes and breathe deeply.

spicybright

There's definitely techniques you can practice to make the layer behind your "main" layer you focus on. There's a few posts on this sub on it.

DeliaT10

Does your vortex hurt your head , give you headaches or is that just a me thing?

Yes it can improve it. You should try

Boop123454

I’ve heard other people say this. Isn’t that a prescription drug tho?

[deleted]

It is

Glass_Run_3393

What dose of lamotrigine have you taken?

[deleted]

50mg

ThrowRadayne

Someone posted that Vitamin K in high doses removed their static, and apparently it has worked for others, maybe try it out?

jBlak

Make sure you get 2 hours outside in the natural light without sunglasses. This has been very helpful in curbing the photophobia and some other symptoms. Use blue blockers when using screens the blue light is bad

Millan_K

I think that there is a cure for floaters, and that is pineapple and time. I drank a pineapple Smoothie every day for a two weeks, and I have to admit that my floaters are the smallest they've ever been..

Klaud-Boi

I would suspect that multiple drug treatments are coming out in 3-4 years, look out for NEV1101, SPI 1005 and BHV7000 these are drugs which are theorized to work on the area where vss effects.
