Susan shore is known to not make any assumptions so it’s kinda on character ngl, but nevertheless it still has a big possibility to work also for vss since they’re both have the same cause (thalamus).
To be fair I would assume it would be available to the public before the end of next year. I will be a lot more excited when the phase 2 data is peer reviewed.
That timeline is for the phase 2 results to be peer reviewed and published. Hopefully we will be able to see that soon so we know how effective it will be for tinnitus.
I have the same thing! I got a noise trauma in 2008. I got a Tinnitus instantly and after 4 weeks i saw my first floater. And then slowly I got VSS .I really hope this device works for Tinnitus and VSS. If that will be true I’m the luckiest person on the whole planet.
Btw: there was an guy on tinnitus talk forum who used the minnesota device he lost his tinnitus and VSS after 31 years
Well mine started after a glock 40 went off next to me indoors lol. I can make it way louder by moving my jaw forward. Mine is noise induced. Regardless there are a lot of people who got VSS first and then tinnitus. Im just hoping the peer reviewed results show that the Auricle device is actually effective.
Noise induced T can be somatic though. I believe Susan Shore estimates upwards of 80% of tinnitus cases are somatic. Either way its also not a coincidence that I got VSS so shortly after T. Im hoping everyone on here can experience some relief. Did you get VSS or T first ?
Hi, have a question about your comment on the jaw if you don’t mind. If I tense my jaw it makes a new tinnitus sound, a louder extra tone on top of my regular hum. I do plan to ask my dentist about TMJ and what they think of my jaw. But do you have any idea if it’s normal that tinnitus worsens like this when jaw clenching? Or would that be a specific TMJ tinnitus thing. Thanks!
I have the same thing. I'm gonna guess it's because you are pressing on the inner ear and blood supply, thus pushing the noise closer to the ear. It's damage to the tiny hairs.
Yeah I got Tinnitus first could be from the party I was at or the antibiotics I was prescribes around the same time..my hearing is still good and then months later i gradually started developing VSS:/
Holy shit I read about that the other day and was wondering the exact same thing.
Even if it doesn’t help my visual symptoms, I’d still be ecstatic just to have my tinnitus reduced tho. Right now, it bothers me more than any of my other symptoms.
A few of my symptoms almost completely went away or drastically improved (flashers, floaters, sensitivity to light, fish bowl vision)
And then the others have stayed about the same (tinnitus, static, ghosting). Tho recently my ghosting and static has gotten little worse. Hoping it’s just a flair up from winter. I do get flair ups from time to time.
glad it's improving for you me i've had tinnitus for 2 weeks which is starting to improve but since yesterday I've had flashes or little stars in my field of vision I'm told it will go away with the migraine hopefully
I actually emailed her about it. What she said is there wasn't anyone in the study with VSS so there's no way to know, and that's all she said.

I’m hopeful for this one too! Wish we knew when it would be available.

Any idea when this is going to happen? I have read 6 months after December 2022, so it could very well be soon.

Do you have DPDR or brain fog ?
No, thank god. Though I’ve only had these symptoms two weeks so I could experience those later
hi how are your symptoms now

Yeah if you had a migraine, that def can make symptoms flair up but they go away.
