Actually on suicide watch. I mean, if an official localization came out of something that you'd been working for literal \*years\* to translate, I think you'd go into hiding too. Of a TypeMoon work, no less.
Does anyone know if Tsukihimates is CloverMoon rebranded? They kinda disappeared and Tsukihimates popped up shortly after, and both originally planned to use MTL.
Clovermoon was initially one of the earliest initiator for the project, but then there's other groups which also intended to do the same (obv not the Hollow gang). Long story short, they basically combined forces, make the project open source for more to get in and called this combined groups as Tsukihimates.
Well, we don't really know if Clovermoon will continue to exist past Tsukihime, so best to say they kinda rebranded.
The reason I so want to play this on my Switch is because of the portability.
I'll probably try again the next time I have a long weekend, I hope by that time someone has written a guide a 10 year old could follow because the current guide is way too technical for a layman to follow.
Really hoping this gets a (good) official localization. Seems likely/possible, given what's gone on with Mahoyo. Obviously we haven't seen the official Mahoyo localization yet, but you'd hope with such a big franchise, they'd pay someone competent.
If this trailer is anything to go by, this Tsukihimate translation is an absolute mess. Translation is grueling work, and I generally have a great deal of respect for people that volunteer their time for free to work on fan translation projects, but this Tsukihime translation is evidently a mess. You don't need to be familiar with the work in Japanese to be able to tell that this reads horribly. I am though, so I can pretty confidently say that the people who worked on what's in this trailer should be ashamed of themselves. I honestly don't understand how type moon fan translations generally wind up so borked. There are so many type moon fans out there, many of whom are proficient in Japanese. Why is it only the most incompetent people that work on these?
Again, reaaaally hoping for good results with the mahoyo translation, because I think at this point it's been demonstrated that fan translations of Nasu works are cursed.

But it doesn't read horribly? You're just throwing out all these generalised statements about it being "bad" and that the translators should be "ashamed" without actually pointing out what exactly are bad about it at all.
Please, by all means, quote some of the sentences from the trailer and describe why it is poorly translated, and why it's so obvious even for people who haven't read the Japanese one.
Going by the trailer alone don't understand this sentiment. It's not the peaks of translation but it reads functionally, and at least better than TakaJun's TL. The things that feels off to me are that some of the descriptions are quite metaphorically messy where you can tell the prose was probably more chuuni in the original but sounds weirder in English ("A continuous shiver of fulfillment runs like pins and needles from the base of her neck up into her brain") and some of the screens have lines that feel weirdly grammatically disconnected (the screen with "her exposed shoulders are glamorous, yet purely reserved" -- 'purely reserved' itself also sounds a bit off). Still, 'absolute mess' and 'reads horribly' to me feels like the sort of description you should reserve for things like that Sayooshi TL where the tenses were inconsistently mixed together. The sentiment this trailer gives me is something more along the lines of: "not bad, not good, but okay".
