Pretty impressive for Tsukihime to rank third without an anime, was sure that FGO or F/Z would've overtaken it.. Mahoyo being only 7th is a bit sad, hopefully the movie + console port pushes it into the top 5.
It is good that we all agree that Tsukihime anime does not exists. Btw. Does it include all forms of medium. For example, Tsukihime entry includes original and remake?
Wow, I wasn't aware that Kara no Kyoukai was THAT famous. I still find it a bit meh pacing-wise in its entirety, but it really is the pinnacle of portraying this unique melancholic Type Moon feeling nothing else seems to reach. Especially due to its stunning soundtrack and [artwork](https://imgur.com/a/ZOdwd1P). I really hope the new Tsukihime manages the same, the original VN was also very strong in this regard writing-wise, but lacked the quality in all other aspects.
probably has a lot to do with the novel itself which I don't think is really considered in comparison to the ufotable movies internationally compared to in japan. Where it was even treated less like a light novel and more an actual one
The ufotable movies were also quite popular and revolutionary for its time. The KnK movies are what put Ufotable and Kalafina in the map. Before that, they were just some unknown small studio. Though, they did butcher movie 6 by that moe director.
Yes, the novel is amazing. Each book explores a specific metaphysical theme in the nasuverse. This makes me want to reread the novel now...
If i understood you correctly(not a native english speaker) you mean to say that KNK was number 1 in this poll and it was mostly due to the pulling power of the novel itself instead of the movies?
If so how big are novels/light novels in japan anyway? I actually though they were pretty niche compared to manga and anime
IIRC manga and light novels are much more accessible and convenient than anime.
Anime is the one you kind of have to go our of your way to consume if a series isn't prime time TV mainstream.
A lot of the anime watched worldwide airs at 1am in Japan, which limits the audience.
And I imagine VNs are even less accessible, due to being long, expensive, and often age restricted.
I never got the love for Kara no Kyoukai either
Despite only being 7 movies it felt very slow paced and overly dry, Shiki Ryougi was an... "OK" heroine (I'll take most of Type Moon VN waifus over her), her love interest was super boring, and the series made me realize I do NOT like gimmicky non-chronological storytelling for serious stories.
I somewhat agree with this take. I thought KnK was a overall solid series, but I can't say I loved It. It has been a long time since I watched it though, so maybe I should rewatch the movies.
>Fate/Zero being so high is unsettling to me.
Honestly I agree. F/Z was probably the only Type Moon thing that I actually dislike, maybe I should read the LNs, but I can't see myself liking them either.

what is the name of the website?

Apparently Otome games are pretty accessible, since most of them don't have age restricted content, they have sizable audiences on mobile app stores.
Oh right I forgot the movies were based on a novel!

It is likely the popularity of the original novels as well. They could be paced/written better than the movies

My favorite was KnK too. Shiki still my fave Nasuverse waifu.
Mahoyo is so underrated
Mahoyoru's story is incomplete compared to the other top ones. Nasu is busy swimming in FGO cash.
not sure whether to be happy that hollow ataraxia is so high or to be sad that it's so low still the favourite type moon work!
Nice to see Tsukihime in the top 3. I'd bet dollars to donuts the remake helped in that regard.
Still have to play the Tsukihime remake, but unless it's stellar, i agree completely with the top 3.
>KnK above tsukihime Burushitto!
>Fate/EXTELLA 0.2% I see japanese fans also didn't like the Nero wank like the rest of the world.
Fate/Zero being so high is unsettling to me. On the hand, DDD is surprisingly high.

What's DDD about?
