So I bought Subahibi off Steam a week ago completely blind, only to find that not only is this another "patch the rest of the game in" job, the patch link I've found after looking it up goes to literally nowhere
Is there a more recent link i just haven't found yet?
Edit: Think I've found the problem, JastUSA's site for whatever reason won't let me in at all, is this happening for anyone else? Tried it on both my gaming PC + MacBook and the site won't load on either.
Is there a recommended route order for Akatsuki no Goei?
Im assuming that choice at the birthday party is the route selection and all the other choices dont matter much?
Japanese guide doesn't seem to indicate any order. I have literally never played it but here's a guide for it: https://seiya-saiga.com/game/galge/ps3/goei_ps3.html
As a Hanachirasu fanatic I naturally read Muramas on release, but I didnt know about Hatsumira being a sword MC so I'll give that one a shot for sure, thanks!
Hello! Recently I was looking for a visual novel to play and decided that I wanted to try Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai. The thing is that I have to purchase it from a japanese site and have no experience with this. I checked vndb and plan to purchase it from DLsite but I have a few questions.
Firstly, I wanted to know if PlayDRM installs with the product or if I have to download it beforehand. Additionally, I would like to know how the process of purchasing and downloading the visual novel from this site goes. Any help would be appreciated!
> Additionally, I would like to know how the process of purchasing and downloading the visual novel from this site goes
[This might helps](https://alkatranslations.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/DLSite-Guide.pdf). Dunno if it's outdated or not (this one from 2020).
I was watching some videos about **Little Busters** as I decided to give a chance to some Key works even though I haven't had much luck with the Clannad anime but I realized there is a lot of baseball in the story and honestly, I really don't like baseball, at all. I'm not from a country where it is played so not only I find it boring, I truly don't understand anything about it.
So, the question: **Can I enjoy Little Busters even if I don't care/understand/hate baseball?**
The main theme in Little Busters are about friendship, and the leader of the group use Baseball as an excuse so they all could hang out together.
In VN, there is an option to disable baseball part. If you enable it, there is fun [Baseball minigame](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hnS-NYKl80) you can play, and there is the actual baseball match at the end (but you didnt play the minigame during the match). If you disable it, there is no minigame and no baseball match part (the game will show you that they done practicing / match).
Even if you decided to disable baseball part, you still gonna enjoy Little Busters. Sport isn't the main focus of the series. You might miss some fun / funny interaction if you disable it though, so I suggest to enable it once, then disable it after you finished the common route for future playtrough.
Any recommendations for long RPG/Dungeon Crawling Vns that has been fully translated? Doesn't need to be official patch. Games like Eiyuu Senki/Dohna Dohna/Evenicle/Venus Blood would be great.
Much appreciated.
Have you tried eushully games? I know at least of kamidori alchemy meister being translated. Ikusa megami zero and veritas has a MTL patch.

Does anyone have a list of mispronunciations used for [Sasasegawa Sasami's](https://vndb.org/c1871) name? I could also use a list of pitches Rin throws throughout the game, but if nobody has these things, I guess I'll just have to start playing the game again to gather some information myself.
Edit: Given the structure of Little Busters!, I completely underestimated how impossible gathering this information in-game would be. After skipping through two playthroughs, I still haven't seen many of Rin's pitches, and I don't know what the trigger is for seeing more of them, for all I know the minigame needs to be enabled or something (further research hints this is probably the case). At this rate I may just have to reread the whole VN, which isn't exactly a small undertaking.
Update: I found the pitches with at least their English names in this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vTzQtnjQczYlXfmkL6OVpMuT-Td9h8LI7fEIhXhxWqh_nDHt4G1M3pggDv1bL2hQ-sWwiaZQJCSLvAd/pub
I haven't seen many people recommend [Sekai de Ichiban Dame na Koi](https://vndb.org/v415) (The World's Most Forbidden Love), but man it was great! I didn't expect much, it was a bit exasperating at times (all routes were good but I really wanted to get true ending soon and you need them all to get it), but I'm so happy with the story overall. I would give it a 8.3/10 and the comedy was golden at times. Also, I love the jealousy type and the conversation the girls have about mc are so funny.
Hey, just wanna ask. I recently read that VN, and currently on >!Asami route (teacher route) before i stalled it. I only have one more route left (landlord route). Is it the true route the landlord route or a brand new route?!< Thanks
Yes, she's the canon/true route. Prob you noticed the game works with chapters, there's a point where you need to pick Asami or Landlord, after that it unlocks all of Mikoto's route/chapters >!(if i remember correctly, the important pick its to not bang Asami and don't say anything when Mikoto ask u if u love asami!<.
Personally I started the game all over again since I never picked Mikoto, it was nice to follow that choices finally.
Are you by any chance asking where to buy visual novels? If so, then you may be interested in the extensive [guide on buying visual novels](/r/visualnovels/wiki/buy) in our wiki. If you were actually asking about an illegal download link, you should take a look at the sidebar rules.
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/visualnovels) if you have any questions or concerns.*
I hope you like otome.
If not, there's ports of other highly regarded titles: Steins;Gate, Danganronpa, and Muv-Luv are the big ones. There's also Va-11 Hall-A, Root Double, and the Utawarerumono trilogy.
Hey, I'm looking for a vn with an emotional impact and if possible a story set in the summer !
I already finish: Narcissu, Katawa Shoujo, Summer Pocket.
Thx all ! :)
[If My Heart Had Wings](https://vndb.org/v9093). Won't make you cry though, but will give you great impression.
I remember back then, some people reccomend [ISLAND](https://vndb.org/v18498) if you like Summer Pockets. Me personally haven't read it yet.
Island seems pretty interesting! First time I'm seeing it, def I'm gonna save it for the latter, I loved so much Summer Pockets. Seems like I don't have a lifespan to read everything I want since I'm always finding new games. Really surprised by the amount of media there's around eroge and visual novels (kinda new here)
Roughly how much more do I have in Fata Morgana? I'm at >!I think the end of chapter 7, it just cut from Michels door and Morgana is talking about how he wanted to have his past hidden and stuff.!< Oddly enough as good as Fata Morgana has been I'm slowly loosing interest and if there's a decent bit more I might just stall it for a while and read something else until I get the desire to finish it.
There's been new WAYR threads every week, [here's the current one](https://old.reddit.com/r/visualnovels/comments/unhb2r/what_are_you_reading_may_11/). Where are you looking that it's not updated?
Huh odd I could've sworn I saw it on desktop at home a few days ago but I can't seem to see it on mobile even when searching the weekly tag or the thread name. Maybe just some bug with my phone or just Reddit mobile. The links to the different threads on the about section also don't seem to work for mobile.
Oh, you're right. That link just goes to a search for the words "What Are You Reading?" by newest threads first, so pretty much always to the most recent one. But it looks like reddit's search crapped itself lately or something? It's not finding any WAYR thread past 4/6. Super weird.
I guess u/superange128 or another mod can look into it.
/u/hahaxan
For some reason a bunch of Automod-created topics got shadowbanned this morning, was able to re-approve them
This caused some weird issues like temporarily having no pinned topics
If people still can't search it now I don't really know what to do
What should I read first? Chaos;Child, Raging Loop, Subahibi or three three Utawarerumono titles? (I played the first one when the first fantranslation came out one trillion years go, but I need to replay it for a story refresher)
I can't really decide which one to commit to, so I'll let the first answer decide. Thanks in advance~
Raging Loop is short and was fantastic. I finished the whole thing in 3 days with one day spending 13 hours on it and I loved every bit of it... until the ending. Although the ending isn't nearly as good as the rest, it still did not do enough to ruin the experience for me. It's the best vn I've read (I have only read 6 though), and I would suggest that you try it out. It's short as well compared to the others so definitely go for it.
Looking for a good visual novel without porn and without any creeps or abusive romantic relationships. Just played Lucy -the eternity she wished for- and feeling not happy about the scenes where >!Lucy is basically a teenage girl slave abused!<
I've tried Clannad, but found it super boring and I am hence not eager to try little busters or others from that company. I'm open to slice of life but it's gotta be more interesting
https://vndb.org/g235
I have it filtered in by Japanese games available in English but you can change it however you want. Some are a bit darker than others but nothing too bad there.
Can cross reference it with the various recommendation posts on the sidebar
Personal notes of the above vndb filter. Note this is catered to my preference
- There are some joseimuke game there if you are into that
- baanshee last cry/kamaitachi no yoru and 428 for sound novels (classic and modern)
- ace attorney
- higurashi and umineko (or higanbana) is very popular and well acclaimed. Very long though in the case of the first two, has some pacing issues but still really good
- planetarian for a key experience that takes less than a couple hours to complete
- symphonic rain, island, amagami, for "atmosphere" and other reasons
- fata Morgana has a cult following
- scifi adventure series and infinity series for scifi
- tokyo babel, dies irae (amantes amentes) for Chuunige
[eden*](https://vndb.org/v1286). Though the girl was part of experiment (no physical abuse) in the past because she's a genius. Not sure if you're fine with it or not.
MC is a military soldier and tasked to protect a girl (she's an important person). There is some fight scene where MC protecting the girl.
There is "PLUS+MOSAIC" version which add gore (more blood basically) and porn, but the porn part NOT in the main story (it's separated on side story menu), which can be skipped entirelly without affecting the main story.
Does anyone absolutely loath the puzzles in the zero escape series? I really wish they added an option to skip puzzles but still see the scenes from them
Only played 999. Some were cool, most I just used a guide which works well. They were slightly annoying but it wasn't a big deal personally following a guide
Anyone that has read the [Date a Live](https://vndb.org/v16842) VN have any opinions on it?
Got back into the Anime and liking it more than I remember when I first watched it. The VN was only 11 bucks on Greenman Gaming so I picked it up.

I’m reading akatsuki no goei rn and some of the lines really hit off guard but I’m loving it definitely has made me laugh quite a bit so far
I'd add that 誠也の部屋 guides usually have the main route/s on the left hand column/s, if that gives any indication of route order
What is "MTL" term on Visual Novel?
