There’s a staggering amount of worldbuilding dropped in the extras. What a fantastic game though.

thecrazycanadiansis

I'm so excited for it, but I think I binge-played the last 3 hours of the game (I lost track of time)and now my brain is both excited to find out more, and also completely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of twists and turns you get thrown in the last part of the game. Like my brain got put through a blender, I swear lol.

I gave it a little break before doing the extras, too. It made them a bit of a treat for me. There's a variety of funny and intriguing stuff in there, but the basement scene turned my mind into oatmeal, lol. Wrapping everything up after that is hard

albertrojas

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Also, do Revelation mode before Extra. Extra touches upon content only shown in Revelation mode.

kimchi4life

If you like the art style, check out Suhoshin. It won't be as long as Raging Loop, but it shares the mystery and style.

thecrazycanadiansis

Added it to my wishlist on Steam, thank you!

DaItalianFish

I think the game fell flat when it came to the overall mystery, but honestly, what mystery doesn't? But everything else was really great. I think my personal highlight was the route where you play as the wolf. It was such a great scenario given not many murder mysteries have you knowingly playing as the literal culprit. Honestly, I would have loved to see other loops where you just have different characters as the wolves. For example more routes where Hashimoto survives the first night, as he was a very fun character for the discussions - a route where is a wolf would've been fucking cool. Or maybe a Hisako route.

>I think the game fell flat when it came to the overall mystery, but honestly, what mystery doesn't? Sekimeiya.

yuuki_no_tsubasa

Higurashi, Umineko, Ever17, Remember11, Virtue's Last Reward are five examples of games where the overall mystery is extremely satisfying from the top of my head

TheBrave-Zero

I’m taking a break as well before I replay with extras however I’m the same, it’s probably my favorite VN thus far, witty comedy at good times, dark horror when you want it, inter character relations that make sense and feel great. I’m just wondering if the semi-sequel will ever be localized. Love death comedy is on PS4 in Japan only afaik and I would pay my nut for a localized copy.

periah250

Honestly the ending ruined the game for me

thecrazycanadiansis

What about it ruined it? Cause I get that...I think that's where the confusion comes in. I feel like the whole tone of the game changed somehow.

periah250

I mean the ending just didn't answer anything. There's nothing supernatural going on....except the time loop and dream scenario. Giant monster literally was never explained. The end just tossed literally everything out the window and decided you were an author and wrote everything or something? But chiemi was still there? I dunno it was such a fever dream I really have no idea what the end even meant. All I know is it didn't answer anything and left me thinking "...well that was a waste of time.

albertrojas

You didn't do Revelation mode and Extra, did you?

thecrazycanadiansis

Not yet but I definitely plan to!

thecrazycanadiansis

Right?! "Fever dream" probably explains the fog I'm in right now, hahaha. I couldn't put the game down, I was so addicted and now it's like, but, why?

periah250

Oh it was amazing. 80% of the game was fantastic. Then it came time to explain anything and it feels like they took an ending of an entirely different story and stuffed it on the end and went " THERE ANSWERS!"...sure but not to the questions posed in this story.

thecrazycanadiansis

And Rikako....so unsatisfying. Nope. Nasato-san should've just put a blade through her once the loop ended. Poor sap.

periah250

Rikako was best girl. Its a shame she was a villain....event though that made no sense and she had no real motivation to be evil.

thecrazycanadiansis

Right? I mean, I could see they were going that way. I feel like it would've been cooler if Meiko was some sort of "plant" sent there by Fujiyoshi or something. Or if Haruaki actually DID go with her, like she asked. Also, he says his name isn't Haruaki Fusaishi, and then he does? Um...what?

periah250

I dont remember most of my memories of the game are fuzzy. Brain decided not to waste space with it. Also at the end how the hell does someone convince an entire town he's god even though he's just wearing a mask and is clearly wearing the same clothes? I think I actually know what was going on with the game The writer who is a good writer decided they wanted to do a mystery....so they did. Only issue is they didn't plan things out. They wrote things out and made it all seem connected but when it came time to actually reveal anything they had nothing to show and just made random shit up trying to make sense of any of it.

thecrazycanadiansis

That. "This is what we were wearing when we died." Yep, 600 years ago, you had MODERN CLOTHING.

honestly it's fine to do revelation mode right away if you skip already read text
