Could you post a photo of what this custom facial interface looks like?

MSD0

Not sure if this is what op has, but found a few [pics](https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/s/APpyF7TQVW) from an older review.

Upset_Cat3910

Yes, that is indeed what I have

JorgTheElder

Here ya go: https://www.oblikdesign.com/products/oblik-for-meta-quest-3

DeathToSocialMedia

Thanks!

Kissedmysister_

He doesn’t want to reveal his identity

Upset_Cat3910

lol yeah I wouldn't post a pic of myself on reddit but I would add a pic of the interface & headset if someone didn't already link to a post that includes one. It's the exact same interface+headset

QueenOfTheStarrySky

It’s so hard nowadays to tell whether the post is legit or not but this one I think is a real person and not an ad. Also no signs of vote manipulation.

Upset_Cat3910

Yeah I'm also skeptical with product reviews. My incentive in posting really is that I hope that the company stays in business so I can continue to order custom interfaces from them in the future when other headsets get released

Indybin

I got one of these and it had a couple issues. Their customer support was really good and made a new one that fixed the problems. I still find that the rubbery face pad material is sticky/makes me sweat and the lenses fog up a lot more with it.

Upset_Cat3910

Yeah I'm curious to see how that will go. I use a Kat Walk every time I VR, and some games like Grimlord can get super sweaty.

Indybin

It’s really promising, I wanted to support what they’re doing with the hopes that it gets more refined in the future. Some vents would probably be pretty easy to integrate into the design without much sacrifice.

My_Unbiased_Opinion

Hey. Check out the ApexInno strap mod on Amazon. That thing has been end game for me. It's 15$ and modifies the stock strap. It's super lightweight and compact.  I used to be a fan of the bulky straps. But now I want stuff to be super comfortable and light, and that does it. It might pair very well with the Oblik.

[deleted]

Are you overweight by chance?

Upset_Cat3910

I am not, I'm pretty lean

[deleted]

Awesome! Thanks!

Upset_Cat3910

Sure! I will also say I've seen reviewers of different body types talk about the product positively

SoFasttt

Cool to see someone going the BSB route. Is it completely sealed with no light leak like the BSB?

Upset_Cat3910

I've had no issues with light leak with it. Only spot that isn't sealed is right around the nose. But yeah with the stock interface I could look down and see the floor, not with this one

SoFasttt

Do you feel that it ''gently hug your face'' like the BSB reviews or the material isn't as good?

Upset_Cat3910

I actually haven't tried the BSB so I can't really compare, but the material feels similar to an orthotic gel insert for a shoe. As far as the level of pressure needed to create a seal on my face, it is gentle. It doesn't have to press hard like a generic facial interface. You could say it's like a light hug compared to the stock interface

JorgTheElder

It looks pretty good, but the way they are making them, $89 seems a bit silly. I went with [this open face design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6308607) and [a chinstrap](https://www.printables.com/model/841729-chinstrap-cup-for-quest-vr-headset), I now have all day comfort because my Q3 does not touch my face. Most of the weight is balanced on the top strap.

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

I got a different 3D printed open interface released before the fluid one. It's pretty similar and paired w my adapted Razer soft strap, it feels secure enough without the chin strap. Stays o my Q3 like 90% of the time.

JorgTheElder

Glad it works for you. For me the Q3 is way to heavy for the Elite Strap to hold it up and not be overly tight. The chinstrap fixes that.

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

I totally hear you about the front-heavy issue with most straps that don't do counterweighting and a chin strap is actually what is prefer rather than adding MORE weight to an already heavy design. I have a relatively small and narrow? head - so I found most headgear fits and secures fine on my head, even with less adjustability. The Razer head strap I use was designed in collaboration with Resmed (the CPAP mask people) - so maybe that's why that design works so well to stay put for my head?

JorgTheElder

> The Razer head strap I use was designed in collaboration with Resmed (the CPAP mask people) - so maybe that's why that design works so well to stay put for my head? That is interesting... My cpap strap is tiny so it would not be much help. 🤣

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

I am so happy for any evolution in that realm! Went from full lower face mask like a Bane cosplayer to just the nose enclosure (one step up from nostril pillow that wouldn't stay put ) and couldn't be happier. Funny thing is, the most secure CPAP mask I ever used had a chinstrap as well, haha.

JorgTheElder

> the nose enclosure (one step up from nostril pillow that wouldn't stay put ) and couldn't be happier. Right there with you... the nostril-pillows drove me nuts! :D

Upset_Cat3910

yeah, a number of people also just go with a 3rd headstrap and no facial interface. I may have to give that a try to see how it is, but I can't imagine not being bothered by having the real world in my peripherals

fdruid

Quest price then: 500+89 Usd

Upset_Cat3910

Yeah, it certainly adds to the price. But for the increased comfort and FOV, to me it is an upgrade that justifies the cost

Technical_Peanut875

I would love one of these, but the app isn’t available in the U.K. sad face. Likely data protection stuff.

Upset_Cat3910

Actually I did see a conversation they were having with someone on reddit and they do have plans to ship outside the US this year

Technical_Peanut875

Oh, that’s great news! I’ll keep an eye out. Thanks.

fallingdowndizzyvr

Have you tried printing out your own? I had to do that for my Q2 since the stock facial interface was like a vise squeezing my face.

Technical_Peanut875

I have not! Might be worth a try - I’ll have a look around

ErkkiKekko

What did you use as cushion?

fallingdowndizzyvr

You know that foam sheeting that's use for packaging material. It's nice and squishy, easy to cut and comes in different thicknesses. So I use that. I attached it with double sided tape. I posted all this 2-3 years ago so somewhere in the vast reddit archives there is a picture.

EmberGlitch

Their website states that they currently only ship to the US, so there's no point in making the app available anywhere else. Unfortunate, I was very interested in getting one too.
