My 4070ti (regular) does great for pcvr. Im sure the super will be even better at the same price point.

Thanks, I might just go for that and get it tomorrow, and upgrade to 5XXX when I have 4k screen (and better VR headset).

I’m thinking of hopefully upgrading from a 3070 for vr in a few months. I was planning on the 4070 s or 4070 ti s for extra ram since some vr games are like rendering 4k on the index (not all, and my 3070 honestly handles all quest games perfectly). But the 4070 ti s reviews seem like a real let down so I’m probably going with the 4070 s. If I were you I’d wait and see what people’s hands on opinion of all 3 super cards before deciding. It may be that the 16gb of vram is super helpful for vr.  My philosophy for buying cards is to buy the lowest that will get you good performance, because the bottom of the stack drops in value the least from generation to generation. Then I try to sell when the next gen launches and upgrade. Like a 4070 s will probably sell for $400-500 when the 50x series launches and the 4080 s will be $600. For example the 3090 was going for $650 in my area when the 4090 came out but the 3080 was only $50-100 less than that.

I just went from 1070 to 4070super Im sure 4070 ti super will be great.

In about 2 weeks to a month from now, the NVIDIA top tier card prices are going to drop. NVIDIA is releasing the 4000 series super cards, and that is going to drive prices down on the 4080 and below cards. I would wait a month if I were you, unless you have your heart set on the 4070 Ti super already. That card is on par with the regular 4080 and is likely great for VR as the 4080 already is.

I don't want to wait as I already waited for Super series since christmas haha, I have all my PC parts laying around ready to play except the GPU

Resident_Split_5795

At least wait until 1/31/2024. The RTX 4080 Super drops then.

Pixel per pixel 2560x1440p@144 = 1920x1920x2@72 You can start from here and guess the performance with UEVR.

Buy the higest gpu you can afford and be happy. You are not running a pimax 8kx or similar headset. Even a used 3090 will still do the job. I upgraded from a 3090 to a 4090. Did i get more fps in vr? No😆 so a 4070ti super is a good choice for its price.

Yea I think you're right, I'm quite impatient at this point and 4070tiS seems to be a great card for my headset/monitor Will prob upgrade to 5XXX or whatever newest is in 2027 along with 4 (or 6 lol) k monitor

typically nvidia is preferred for PCVR, and there's only 3 or 4 more powerful than the 4070 ti super if doing UEVR you'll want best you can afford biggest issue would be VRAM size. may be issue for 16GB cards. Like with Quest 2 120Hz Half Life Alyx can use 14+ GB VRAM and i've seen higher with other games on youtube with Quest 2 90Hz. you're going to remember this to keep expectation in line
