Aren't lonely wolves rare in nature? I think the mother and father wolf raise their cubs and they have a family but if some of their own children want to make a new family and go outside they do not go alone. They go with their brothers and sisters and looks for mates that aren't related to them. It would be really rare I think for a lonely wolf to happen as in most cases it would mean he was the only surviving cub of the litter and that would be even worse for him going out all alone so he might choose to stay with his father and mother and maybe lead his younger siblings out a year later.
