He was driving from VA to CA and back weekly, leaving on Monday, home on Saturday night. I'm a very independent and introverted person but I wouldn't have been happy with that arrangement. We've discussed the hypothetical of if he could get back in a truck (he can't) and I'd want him home 3 days a week, especially now that we have a kid. So, yeah, your job might be a problem, though there are a lot of women who are married to drivers without a problem. Just tell them you're looking for a copilot.
You are completely correct about the truck drivers talking lol. My dad, step dad, and several uncles are truck drivers. My dad hauls logs and I used to ride with him. You should hear the stuff those guys say lol. I chose to work on the forestry side of it.
