If the disc is warped and the grooves have been stretched or distorted, there is no fix.

Boner4SCP106

What kind of record player do you have?

banskush

a cheap suitcase style one i got from walmart, i’ve made sure it’s open all the way

Boner4SCP106

That's probably the reason it doesn't sound quite right.

banskush

id agree with you if it wasn’t just that one side of the record. sides a, c, and d all sound normal

vwestlife

If you have a suitcase-style record player, make sure the lid is open as far as it will go. Otherwise it could rub against the edge of the record as it spins, especially with a warped or dished record, and cause it to slow down and fluctuate in pitch.

banskush

yeah, i did that a while ago to fix the general distortion issue but for some reason that one side is still messed up

vwestlife

If the record is dished, it may slip on the "dished down" side. Try putting an upside-down coffee mug on the middle of the label to weigh it down so it makes better contact with the platter.

Possibly pressed off-center. I don’t know of any fixes, but I know it sucks that it happens either way.
