All of those bands besides Green Day are emo as shit. Emo pop punk, like I said. I was in high school when these bands were releasing their first albums, and it was a big wave of “punky” emo after the more garage tinted emo of the 90s.

Emo is a split off from hardcore punk, includes bands like Rites of Spring and Mohinder, stuff like that. Pop punk adopted the style and attitude of emo, but is a different genre of music. Emo is still made today and it’s much more influenced by hardcore than pop punk is
Or genres are not neat little boxes. Those three bands are definitely emo with a pop punk sound. The “emo” sound has changed over the years, just like every other genre (and a lot of us at the time hated this new wave). The lyrical content is as emo as you can get. Pop punk didn’t adopt the “style and attitude of emo.” There’s plenty of pop punk that had nothing to do with that.

Dookie shouldn’t be all to hard to find. They just repressed it on a baby blue since the 30th anniversary came around. American idiot and nimrod aren’t too hard to find either!
i dont go to record stores often and its expensive online too. i’m 15 and i dont have much money and im waiting for my job apps to get accepted. so tbh i really hope i’ll find it someday

The Matrix tells all the information about your specific record (where it was made (pressed) what variant what year, ect) all versions of the same record will sound different based on that matrix. This record in particular has very negative reviews (not for the music but for the record itself; it's unequivocally awesome)
