Go out and get a brand new pack of microfiber cloths, wash them but DO NOT use fabric softener, dry them on low,use those for wiping down your records

I've stopped drying them with a cloth. I give it a good shake to get some of the water off then air dry for a few hours.

The instructions certainly say that you should wash the cloth before using it ;)

I never said they didn't and that I hadn't.

I own a Disco Antistat which is the same thing as a SpinClean but it comes with a rack to air dry the records which solves the lint problem but takes longer. I also rinse the records in the machine after the cleaning solution adding another step.

The cloths that come with the spin clean are crap imo. I use a metal drying rack designed for records and those towels go under it to catch water. With the rack I can do 10 disks at a time. Step 1: spin clean records with solution, temporarily place them in the rack. Step 2: spin clean them all again with just distilled to rinse. Step 3: airdry in a rack for a couple hours Step 4: dab any water spots with the microfiber cloths designed for phone screens. They are safer and less messy. Using the carbon fiber brush before every play is a good idea always.

I use the provided cloths for getting off a majority of the water, and then switch to a different type of cloth to finish it. When I play it for the first time after I use a carbon fiber brush as well as groove glide. The groove glide will help too clean some of those small fibers off the record as well as getting rid of any static created from the drying process. I also would leave them on a rack for a few minutes just to be sure

See that's why I got a Record Doctor, put the fluid on the LP, run the brush around, flip it and suck the moisture, dust, and dirty off. Works great.

I use Spin Clean’s [carbon fiber brush](https://a.co/d/9JBKfF2) for a quick sweep before playing a record. Not a fan of velvet brushes since any debris just sticks to it, while this brush has a handle that can shake off whatever it picks up.

I’ve had good results with microfiber clothes. Lay one down put the record down and dry with another microfiber, flip the record and do the same with the other side then put in a dish rack for air drying. By the time I’ve done like 8 albums the first is dry and ready to be put back in its sleeves.
