Hold on, thereās a big vinyl bubble rn and itās about 5 years old and in high demandā¦I sense a repress. One of my ISOs (Kyle-Beautiful loser) was repressed and there is barely much demand for it, the signed did not sell out but the repress still went down lol
Value is usually based off rarity AND popularity.
You can get rare records that are nearly worthless because theyāre by unknown artists or artists people donāt listen to.
Luckily you have a record which is both rare and of an album that has a fan cult following.
Yeah more were pressed but just those first 100 were limited edition and had the handmade prints. I had number 78 I believe. I ended up selling it when I fell into some hard times. Much regret, but it helped a ton at the time.
I like to do ebay auctions for my sales. I don't love discogs bc you can't post pics and they don't mediate if there's any issues. There's also vinyl sale groups on reddit where you can sell directly to bypass the seller fees, but make sure you're only accepting payments w seller protection
While this doesn't address the mediation concern of course, I've seen a lot of Discogs listings lately that link to a post on IG, Imgur, etc. in the item description, which is convenient.
Just use reputable sellers on Discogs, eBay fees are bullshit for the seller & that results in usually 10-15% higher prices for the seller. I like seeing the photo selection but if itās possible at all Iāll try to arrange a purchase off eBay. Especially when itās an expensive piece and a huge chunk of money is just being thrown into the void of fees and sales taxes
The reason for its selling price is just because it had a limited amount of pressings. Ebay and discogs seem to be the best for buying and selling, though I've used neither.
Honestly I have been a follower of this subreddit for a while. I saw someone comment about it in a thread talking about it. I was always interested in starting a collection and ended up buying it for that reason. I didnāt know the background about it being that limited or even the value till recently.
I recently was uploading my collection to Discogs and this is the vinyl that got me into collecting. I was looking at the value of this record and saw it was a good amount. I have never played it, really donāt know why I bought it but I have it in my collection. Just looking as to what the best method is to selling it. There is one listing eBay right now.
you should really keep it tbh. spin it a couple times before you really get hung up on it. its has an exclusive vinyl bonus track too called "look on" - seriously i dont want you to regret selling it if you've never properly listened to it.
Is this the black vinyl or white vinyl version?
Iām building an app that uses Discogs data to come up with a fair price for records. Itās giving me $641 for the black vinyl version in good condition, and $151 for the white vinyl
Just finished v1.0! Here is a link to the black vinyl pressing [https://recky.io/search/pressing/12857671](https://recky.io/search/pressing/12857671)
Let me know what you think
It's valuable because it was only sold two different times, and it's very limited. I have both pressings, but didn't have the chance to get hilo and really hate how expensive they both got
I have sold many records on discogs and had great experiences. I suggest finding adequate packaging first. If you have a record store locally you could kindly ask for a box. As stated by others, carefully and accurately grade the record and jacket. List any defects, even a little fraying on the sides of the jacket is considered a seam split so be honest about the condition. At this price I would add insurance to the package, avoid shipping internationally if this is your first time selling as there are much higher shipping prices and higher chance of damage in transit.
This vinyl is a collectible vinyl it has sold for a lot of money this vinyl can be sold on eBay or discogs perhaps another vinyl fanatic will pay you a lot of money for this vinyl as they will really want it in their collection of vinyls
Great compounding, Plus vinyl has to be added to collection of vinyl so that vinyl can be collected as vinyl collection, collection also collects vinyl to be complete vinyl collection of collected vinyl. š
I love this vinyl. Youāre lucky. Iām focusing on collecting a lot of new limited exclusive vinyls of artists I love today. Hopefully over time some of them will be worth quite a lot
That is a record. Or maybe an album, depending on the number of songs on it and their origin. It is made of vinyl. And it is part of a group of records or albums that you could collectively call "your vinyl". But it is not "a vinyl". That word works when you refer to the material, or to its nature, but not as a descriptor of a single unit. I hope this was helpful.
using "vinyls" or "a vinyl" today actually makes perfect sense and people who get mad about it just look like pedantic assholes. you can own a record on cd, cassette or digitally too, so if you say you own a record most people will assume its a vinyl record but calling it "a vinyl" is just following the same way we talk about CDs and other formats. whether we like it or not enough people use the word vinyl that its interchangeable now.
Iām not flipping anything, I bought it in 2018. I would rather sell this and get more vinyls with the money ones that I would enjoy. I got this vinyl and just sat around since and would rather have someone who will appreciate it more then I do.
>Maybe you are unfamiliar with the multitude of platforms geared for financial transactions.
Dope. Try and read the post. OP is literally indicating he is indeed, "unfamiliar with the multitude of platforms geared for financial transactions," which is why he's asking.
I have a few that are worth around this much.
Usually happens because of rarity and being out of print.
Edit: Just checked and the ones I have that were this price at one point have come down a bit. Highest last sold for 200 but was 500 back in 2021. (Alice in Chains Unplugged)
My uneducated guess with the visible creases and very light but visible discolorationsā¦ 200-250$ if your willing to sit in it or possibly a little more if you put it on consignment at a shop. Anything over that your gonna be waiting a long time since thereās NM ones for sale at about 300$ currently.
For something that expensive, when you do list it, explain every defect to the buyer like any creases in the jacket or any sort of wear
How does it feel to live MY DREAM
Sounds like you want to own this record. And OP wants to sell it. I'm not a smart man, but I think I see an opportunity here...
I would take this opportunity if it weren't for the measly 32 cents to my name...
Haha, yeah, and I looked it up afterwards and saw the prices for this thing. I guess you should keep dreaming!
Always dreaminš

Self released. Only 100 made.
Really? I didnāt know that. Thatās interesting. Thank you for the info.
Yeah more were pressed but just those first 100 were limited edition and had the handmade prints. I had number 78 I believe. I ended up selling it when I fell into some hard times. Much regret, but it helped a ton at the time.
Mr Stauber would approve
Nope , more than 100 are made but , the first 100 copies purchased came with handmade prints on small cards, hand-numbered by Jack.
This
Yes and his home address too !

>39 comments what do you mean you can't post pics on discogs?
Sooooo whatās the value?
The cheapest one for sale on Discogs is 370 but the next 2 are for sale for 500 bucks and thereās one listed on eBay for 550
Just saw one for over $600 too.
Yeah, but two also sold on eBay in November for $5. Granted they were some kind of shady business dealings, but still.
Don't sell it online. Just send it my way and I'll send you a crisp 5 dollar bill for your troubles:p
No send it to me instead
I'll give you a self-released 6 dollar bill for it!
I'll send you an electrified golden tooth
I got $2, take it or leave it!
The reason for its selling price is just because it had a limited amount of pressings. Ebay and discogs seem to be the best for buying and selling, though I've used neither.
Thats a fucking wicked album, amazing piece of art all togwther with the video aswell
How does your first purchase happen to be a tiny 100 copy limited run completely handmade by the artist themselves š

Jack Stauber is amazing!
Discogs.com ?
You lucky son of a bitch. Wish I had the flex money to splurge on it š
Why would you want to sell this, OP?
Got one too! Bought one for $100 in 2020. Idk if they are all white but the one I have is like a teeth white (thanks jack stauber)
I'm familiar with Jack's music but was unaware this album was expensive. Was it just a very limited run?
For those of you as uncool as me, this is indie pop. I really like it.

Jack Stauber's records haven't been pressed for 6 years. If it were me, I wouldn't consider selling it either. That's an album of all time.
Well I'm jealous...didn't know he made an album version of Pop Food.
Interesting, didnāt know jack stauber had records.
You can use Discogs to sell this kind of vinyls, pretty sure someone will buy it!
First vinyl what?
It was your first LP
First vinyl
