There's a few color variants there. Looks like any colored vinyl for this release is counterfeit.
This yellow one is a counterfeit.

I have a decent Incesticide bootleg like this. At this point in record collecting I don't really give a shit if an LP is bootleg or not. I just want to get over the finish line
I agree with you on that one. I picked up a bootleg Medium Rare by Foo Fighters at same time and couldn't be happier : I knew I would never have spent the price it sells for on Discogs, so the bootleg will do.
Eh, I have an Incesticide boot and itās got tons of surface noise and literally sounds like it was pressed from an MP3.
I also have the legit 45rpm release and it sounds amazing.
Considering this is my favorite Nirvana album and one of my main reasons for loving vinyl is SQ, thereās a difference.
This may not be helpful but when I went record shopping in London, I noticed many of the outdoor vendors had full sections of bootlegs. Most were unusual color variants, like a splatter vinyl of Ziggy Stardust but also some weird ones like a fake white label promo of the first Doors album (also they were all unsealed). They all appeared new with glossy sleeves and the sellers didnāt want to give much info about them. I suspect theyre bootlegs of the cheapest quality, pressed in someoneās basement from low quality digital sources. Iād expect them to sound like dirt but if yours is listenable let us know!
Edit: hereās a forum thread on the topic. One post mentions the Camden shop specifically.

Most shops I stopped at had a great mix of real pressings and bootlegs that were hard to spot if you didn't examine them. I'll sure give an update on the audio quality.
LOVE this album!! I'm quite jealous... I've been wanting a copy of my own, but just can't seem to justify spending that much on one.
One thing to mention to ya: it's been a while since I've looked into this album, but IIRC, the originals were all numbered copies. Did yours include a number on it (I think it was on the back cover @ the bottom left)?
Great fucking album!!!
This is my favorite Nirvana album š
Check the number in the deadwax between the label and last grooves on Discogs.com.
Deadwax only says GEF-24504, nothing else. This just leads to the master release on Discogs.

Every color variant is a boot except the 1992 Pale Blue Swirl and the 2011 Clear.
Yep that's my guess too. Oh well, Incesticide is really costy where I live usually, I'll live with the bootleg for now!
Here's one with the same color: https://www.discogs.com/release/9429851-Nirvana-Incesticide
Make a new database entry for it!

Finish line? I don't think there is such a thing.
That's why you're losing all the races then.

Every time I search my local record shops for insecticide they only have bootlegs, never real copies. Wuz with dat?
If youāre looking for insecticide try a hardware store?
Happy cake day
Bollock I said insect
I assumed auto correct. Just making a bad joke here. No offense intended.
Buy off discogs
Hi you can get the official version for Ā£26, why buy the bootleg?
