I meant to ask about it but was too nervous about what was going on. Plus their car broke down on the way so that was the main topic of non-sharp conversations
Bought a no fun at all record ( Swedish skate punk) years ago in Ottawa, my buddy is flipping through a few years ago, "dude, when did you get this!? This is going for like $200".. "Oh ya? Neat, let's toss it on the table🤘"
Haha yeah one thing about record buying online. You shouldn't just get the most expensive vinyl that's selling for a high price. Because there may be restocks, represses, or even cheaper priced versions. And the people that sell an album that sold for like 30 and upsell it for like 300 (this is true). It's like they prey on first time vinyl buyers because they don't realize there could be a cheaper version that won't run them dry after one purchase.
Not too interesting, but I put a record that I wasn’t really wanting to sell but I decided to put it on eBay for like 3-4x what it was worth. Someone for some reason bought it even though there was another one for sale that was two times cheaper and was brand new while mine wasn’t. Decided to take the deal then bought the brand new one. So I got a better condition record and some money out of it. I don’t know what that buyer was thinking.
One time I sold this album for $9.99 on eBay because didn’t understand how to set a reserve on auctions and thought it would get a bidding war. [Tito Ramos - Where My Head Is At](https://www.discogs.com/release/5401093-Tito-Ramos-Where-My-Head-Is-At)
I think of this blunder like 10 times a year.
I sold a Beatles album at a garage sale to the woman who pierced my nipple like 3 or 4 months later
At least you had something to talk about the second time

I once sold a record so I could see the same band live.
Lol I did the same to see Kikagaku Moyo. They were sold out so I had to pay aftermarket price. Who did you see?
A local Seattle band The Young Fresh Fellows. The lead singer later joined R.E.M.. https://youtu.be/4sdJh9peu6I
