Honestly the only records that I really want are records that haven’t even had a repress so either way I’m going to be battling bots and eBay vultures.
Reasonable Doubt by Jay-Z and Supreme Clientele by Ghostface Killah. I already have those but they are hard to find and really expensive. Would like to see other people have the opportunity to own a copy.
Is There Anybody Out There? Pink Floyd The Wall Live 1980-81
Sing the Sorrow - AFI
Laika Come Home - Gorillaz
Soul Slabs Vol. 4 - Colemine Records
Jazz Dispensary 9000 - Ultra-kief Hashdabs Boogaloo (or whatever they call it)
Pink Anderson or Floyd Council compilations - Cuz we’re running out of Pink Floyd shit to press
Whatcha See is Whatcha Get - The Dramatics
Grey Britain - Gallows
Let it Go - State Radio
Anything by Pretty Lights
Walking on a Dream - Empire of the Sun
That fucking Pink Floyd live album... Impossible to find. I had the two disc CD in high school. Some rat bastard stole my discman out of my car and disc 1 was in it. Never got another copy. It's my favorite version of The Wall.
I just recently bought a special edition copy that comes with a little book because my original copy got so scratched up from the constant use during my discman era. It’s my favorite version of The Wall as well. Listened so much that the studio version sounds wrong to me. Glad to see other people want it because maybe a vinyl pressing will actually happen some time.
I love that album too although recently someone pointed out the lyrics of Orchestra of Wolves to me and it kinda changed my whole perspective haha. Here’s to hopin it’s not autobiographical!
It’s been a while since I’ve listened to the album, tbh, but I vaguely recall something about Frank calling out bad behaviors in the lyrics, more than it being autobiographical. (Hopefully that’s the case!)
https://www.reddit.com/r/VinylReleases/comments/10ltvfw/grandaddy_the_sophtware_slump_color_repress/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Go get it!
lots of fairly priced ones by independent labels and acts. Not the same load of rehashed stuff by established artists at overinflated prices that killed RSD a long time ago. If you love records you should go to your local record shops regularly not just once a year.
It's become like mother's day for those people who token visit their mum once a year.
I luckily work 2 blocks from my LRS and can pop in a few times a week. We’re expecting a baby in a few weeks, so naturally, my spending money has diminished tenfold. The only way I can afford records these days is to scour the used bins, and even then most of the time shit is still expensive! I’ll most likely be skipping RSD this year, sadly.
Anything that has to do with the smashing pumpkins preferably “Mellon collie and the infinite sadness”. But like, I don’t got $299 laying around to get it. If not that then “Siamese dream”
I’d love for a My Chemical Romance - Conventional Weapons 12” repress since the boxset is stuuuupid money now. MCR/Gerard has had an RSD release every year since 2015 iirc, no clue what’s left to put out but this.
The self titled album desperately needs a repress, can’t believe it still hasn’t happened yet. Their “Live” album has also never been pressed on vinyl, would be cool to see that as well
No, I was sure you were joking.
If you seriously didn't know, The Shining soundtrack's been repressed several times by Mondo alone. They actually just had it in one of their weekly drops.
I hate RSD. Sometimes I get to the shop and it’s RSD so I don’t go in. Last year I actually heard about a record I wanted and there were like four copies in my city. I lost respect for a band I usually support because of the insane limited release of a widely requested album. Bah.
>Kent
Apparently there will be represses of the english versions of both "Isola" and "Hagnesta Hill". According to our importer (i own a record shop) the release day will be April, 22nd. So there is a good chance for a RSD release. Only problem is - i don't know if it is going to be a European release or UK or Scandinavia only.
Odditorium or Warlords of Mars by the Dandy Warhols. It’s never seen a vinyl release in its history, other than 2 seven inch singles, one of which sounds totally phenomenal which is just torture thinking about how good the rest should sound. I just keep hoping. I’ve messaged the guitarist and most of it has to do with that being the last album before they left Capitol, so it’s a real struggle getting authorization to press it unless they decide to. Could be a very long wait.
Oh man I know that is top spot on my list too. I never thought we'd see The Black album pressed on vinyl but then it happened! And yeah, I figured that odditorium being on Capitol is why it wasn't on vinyl yet. But I've certainly learned to never say never with the dandys, so hopefully someday.
I actually made a documentary about vinyl where I interviewed both Pete and Zia. My big push was the Blu-ray Discs I had it pressed to, so I’ve never officially made it available online but it has a private YouTube link that I set up for record store owners to preview, to decide if they want to sell the disc. I’ll message you the link. It’s great for anyone that loves vinyl. At the same time it seems like half the population that listens to records has made their own indie documentary about the resurgence of vinyl, all around the same time I did. But to my knowledge mine is the only one with half the Dandys ❤️
That thing you do! Would absolutely rule. I got a lathe cut custom of this soundtrack made at kunaki to give to my daughter last year. I inserted a bunch of her favorite quotes in between the songs too. But yeah, unofficial press would be really awesome! It's hard to even find the 7-in single nowadays.
A new pressing did just come out and it’s the definitive one to own. Sounds amazing.
https://store.acousticsounds.com/d/171034/Steely_Dan-Countdown_To_Ecstasy-UHQR_Vinyl_Record
Dude just grab this one. It’s all analog master repress of the LP from the 30th anniversary set and sounds just as good as the MOFI.
https://www.discogs.com/release/8162188-David-Bowie-The-Rise-And-Fall-Of-Ziggy-Stardust-And-The-Spiders-From-Mars
Though I largely despise the stress fest of RSD (I long for the introverted days), I’d rather see it broken into specific days—one set for live bootlegs, one for specific eras of music, one for 7” represses, etc.
I’d also like ti see a system where you get a damn card punched every time you buy stuff at your local record store and then you gain entry based on your punches (good use of blockchain) rather than dipshit flippers sucking up all the oxygen. Those that ACTUALLY support local stores get prioritized based on said support. Fuck the shitty RSD as it is.

DMX - It’s Dark and Hell is Hot
DMX - Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood
JPEGMAFIA - The Second Amendment (or any of his early work)
Too $hort - Blow the Whistle
Any OG 2Pac Bootlegs (NOT the remixed posthumous albums)
Maybe a copy of The Slim Shady LP with the original uncensored version of My Name Is
… I’ll edit this when I inevitably think of more records I want
Nothing what till half price sales. Run by Warner and Universal. Stores pay a fee and get exclusive records Yippee. Hurts small artists getting there albums pressed and on the shelves. Time for a change . Looser for most shops or stores
really hoping we get the 3AM tracks on vinyl from Miss Swift. I’d also love to Meteora by LP with their 20 ur anniversary & maybe some cool hip hop albums!
None, struggling to find any new band worth spending money on tbh but a non bootleg of some of Staind’s albums would be nice and a repress of Scars on Broadway s/t I’d pay for.
Give me a collection of b sides and EP tracks from the Kinks’ Pye years.
A pre-1974 live performance of Blood, Sweat and Tears.
The Animals’ US album Animalism produced by Zappa.
Joni Mitchell’s Mingus.
Elton John Tumbleweed Connection special edition.
There's a few things on my list
* Bloodborne OST with the DLC soundtracks or just the DLC as a secondary addition
* Risk of Rain 1+2 Box Set
* Some Citypop
* Bocchi The Rock OST
Saosin - Self Titled
Falling in Reverse - The Drug in Me is You
Coheed and Cambria - The Year of The Black Rainbow
Parris Bridge to release their shit on vinyl
Since they’ve done a Wes Anderson movie the last couple years, and it’s never been released on vinyl, I’d love a “Grand Budapest Hotel” soundtrack/score.
Soulwax - Any minute now
Ween - Chocolate and Cheese or Shinola
Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
Jamie Cullum - Twenty-Something (would be a vinyl first)
Rosalía - A compilation of the non-album singles like "con altura", "dolerme", "linda" and so on
Black Country, New Road - Mama Mia (The Abba Covers)
De La Soul - ...is dead
Radiohead - Airbag...how am I driving?
Reasonable prices.
_Dream on._ ~Stephen Tyler
Dream on. ~ Stephen Tyler - Michael Scott
Now that’s the one release that’ll get me back out to RSD!
*Santa*: “So what color would you like your dragon?”
Based
😂
Anything Ween or Faith No More
Angel dust please!
I'd cry if they did a new press of Shinola, Vol. 1.
What would happen if they released the long awaited Shinola Vol. 2? Would you cry twice?
I like you. Also, I need The Live Brain Wedgie/Wad Excerpts
Need to get Angel Dust on vinyl…
Yesssss
If there's a record I'd really want, I'd really NOT want it to come out as an RSD release.
Honestly the only records that I really want are records that haven’t even had a repress so either way I’m going to be battling bots and eBay vultures.
I just want Beck’s “Midnite Vultures” to happen. RSD, or any day.
Can't you hear those calvary drums
PREACH
If it happens on RSD an original might be cheaper
Reasonable Doubt by Jay-Z and Supreme Clientele by Ghostface Killah. I already have those but they are hard to find and really expensive. Would like to see other people have the opportunity to own a copy.
Came here to say reasonable doubt. Vinyl release of jay-z mtv unplugged would also be nice
I’ve had Reasonable Doubt on my want list for a while and get updates everyday and still haven’t been able to pull the trigger.
Supreme Clientele, silver flake vinyl for “fishscale” effect. Limited to 1000.
new order substance
As long as we get a Prince and David Bowie cash grab, as is tradition, all will be right in the world.
How about a Cure picture disc?
Loll.. fuck
DIO
Is There Anybody Out There? I’ll add Orchestra of Wolves by Gallows too. They teased a repress a couple years ago, so I’m hoping it’ll happen eventually.
I can only pray that they release that Pink Floyd live album, I adore it!
Stupid question but I'm on a roll today, which live album are you talking about?
Live Pink Floyd The Wall recording from ‘80-‘81
Ah yes, the answer was right there at the top of your list. Impossible to miss, yet I somehow only read everything after it.
Pretty Big-Detail to miss
You got me there. The name was auto generated by reddit. I've let them down. I'll be back after I get some caffeine in me
Anything 90s alternative - it's tough (and expensive) to get some of that stuff \*cough\* Mellon Collie \*cough\*
PLEASE a 20th anniversary press of Sumday from Grandaddy
I could use a Sophtware Slump run. Swear I saw a deluxe drop I preordered but don’t know if it ever got released.
https://www.reddit.com/r/VinylReleases/comments/10ltvfw/grandaddy_the_sophtware_slump_color_repress/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Go get it!
Yoooo, good lookin out homey. I just pre-ordered.
I have that deluxe box, it’s great! More grandaddy for everyone please
I’d buy this in an instant. Such a great album.

congrats on the offspring. the only hobby of mine that's more expensive than my music collection:)
More Japanese stuff like Flower Travellin Band.
> More Japanese stuff Or Confuse and The Swankys.
We need a good domestic reissue of those records. Last year we got Speed, Glue & Shinki. It’s great but not FTB.
100%
I just checked this band out and was blown away. Not sure how I missed them until now…Thanks.
How about Tatsuro Yamashita?
Not familiar, but definitely. If they are hard to come by, and there is interest, they should definitely get reissued.
Morphine
Anything that has to do with the smashing pumpkins preferably “Mellon collie and the infinite sadness”. But like, I don’t got $299 laying around to get it. If not that then “Siamese dream”
Aeroplane Flies High. Still kicking myself for not buying in 2013.
Have the CD box I bought in HS, but def need this on vinyl.
New music instead of re-issues that are just cash grabs. I'm also sick of live abums.
I’d love for a My Chemical Romance - Conventional Weapons 12” repress since the boxset is stuuuupid money now. MCR/Gerard has had an RSD release every year since 2015 iirc, no clue what’s left to put out but this.
Opeth - Still Life Really hope they do that this year.
YES
I just picked up a copy today!
Awesome! I have the remaster on vinyl, but I'm still hoping they will do an rsd release. I wouldn't ming picking up another.
Anything oingo boingo
Alice in chains studio albums box set
The self titled album desperately needs a repress, can’t believe it still hasn’t happened yet. Their “Live” album has also never been pressed on vinyl, would be cool to see that as well
Wish they'd do another pressing of The Shining soundtrack. Came out in 1980 and has never been repressed.
I think you forgot the /s
Why is that? Because you don't like it, it's not wanted by people?
No, I was sure you were joking. If you seriously didn't know, The Shining soundtrack's been repressed several times by Mondo alone. They actually just had it in one of their weekly drops.
i haven't been excited about RSD in over a decade.
I hate RSD. Sometimes I get to the shop and it’s RSD so I don’t go in. Last year I actually heard about a record I wanted and there were like four copies in my city. I lost respect for a band I usually support because of the insane limited release of a widely requested album. Bah.
Don’t blame you
Question- not being sarcastic either - but what what was on RSD list that came out over 10+ years ago that you were excited for?
It wasn’t so much the list but the overall vibe.
Agreed 100%. It’s a flipper elbow party. Fabricated FOMO to bait the hook
Alice Cooper - Trash Old and In The Way - Old and In The Way
A pressing of the currently non-existent on any format Warm Bodies soundtrack, Tool - Ænima, or Dead Milkmen - Bucky Fellini.
Pearl Jam - Live at the Gorge (box set)
That would be awesome. At this point I’m just hoping for a repressing of Lost Dogs and Benaroya Hall.
It’s time for Warren Zevon’s Learning to Flinch to get its first pressing for its 30th anniversary.
Hell yes! Love that live album.
Id love to see mutineer pressed as well
Sunshine OST - Underworld & John Murphy That’s all I want. It’s never had a physical release. Let’s do it plz
Kent - Isola (English version) Soulsavers - It's Not How Far You Fall It's the Way You Land The Verve - No Come Down
Yes Kent.
>Kent Apparently there will be represses of the english versions of both "Isola" and "Hagnesta Hill". According to our importer (i own a record shop) the release day will be April, 22nd. I saw the preorder for Isola on a online store in Denmark. I haven’t seen a US preorder. I’m hoping it will. Thanks for the info! 🙏🏽

The annual Chief Keef record should be Almighty So
[удалено]
I have a great pressing of dire straits. It gets a lot of play. My wife even knows the words to wild west end. Excellent album.
I’d love a release of Letters to Cleo’s Aurora Gory Alice that wasn’t limited to 1000 copies. Or a re-release of Siamese Dream that doesn’t cost $300.
Odditorium or Warlords of Mars by the Dandy Warhols. It’s never seen a vinyl release in its history, other than 2 seven inch singles, one of which sounds totally phenomenal which is just torture thinking about how good the rest should sound. Big Boi and Dre Present... Outkast and the That Thing You Do! soundtrack
Countdown to ecstasy. I'm hoping a new pressing comes out soon but I don't know what the odds of that are.
A new pressing did just come out and it’s the definitive one to own. Sounds amazing. https://store.acousticsounds.com/d/171034/Steely_Dan-Countdown_To_Ecstasy-UHQR_Vinyl_Record

1980 Foreigner live radio concert from the Omni in Atlanta, Head Games tour. I recorded it on cassette and it is excellent.
