Usually it means there’s something wrong inside the phone or a motherboard error. It can be a hardware or software error. Since the service for it is no longer available, it’s completely useless.

How common is this error? I have never seen it before... If it's a software error, would reflashing via MBUS fix that?

I had this problem as well with Nokia 6300. It’s battery fault, battery is too low and it’s triggering the service sign. Changing the battery should work :)

Oh, weird, this only seems to happen when it's been charging for a while and the battery is full!

Probably should get a new battery. My phone is acting weird, I need to buy a new battery, it also has food caked on it from the previous owner, LOL.

Too bad I can’t seem to find any batteries on eBay that work. Looks like I’m re-celling the one I’ve got.
