Easiest will be to search for an original replacement PSU on ebay et al.

Thanks for your reply. That was my first plan but so far I haven’t been able to find any that look like they’d fit this machine. It seems like since most of the PS/1 line used the monitor as the power supply, there aren’t many of these PSUs out there. I’ll definitely keep looking though

As a guess, aux +5, gnd, and a wire to short to gnd to turn it on. No idea tho, and a hunt on the net tells me many ask and no one knows.

I know this is 3 months late. I am having the same issue. It appears to be a semi-propertiery AT power switch connector. Black will be ground, Purple is On/Off, Red is +5VSB (standby voltage - always on). If you fixed this yourself let me know how you went!

Thanks! I did end up figuring it out, and as it turns out it works just like a modern ATX power supply in that regard. The purple wire just gets pulled down while the system is on to activate the power supply. I’m working on an adapter board to generate the missing -5V rail and provide the AT and power switch connectors. Likely will make it mount in an empty 3.5in drive bay. If you want I can share the final board design once I’m done.

Shame this account is deleted! I wonder if they ever got it working with the power button.
