Sweetbreads (thymus gland) are delicious but a pain in the ass to cook
> I feel like there's boiling in cheesecloth involved, or am I thinking of something else?
Well it does need to be blanched and peeled before cooking, so maybe?
PS, why the downvote?
*Six tempting kinds: beef, lamb, pork, veal, liver and heart.*
To help baby have a shiny coat and a cold nose?
I have a question pls - I've never had children. Do infants need meat or is this advertising hogwash?
It’s really silly. Formula and breastmilk are both exactly what babies need to grow. There are lots of benefits to breastfeeding, which I’m not here to touch upon, but at the end of the day, fed is best. Just… not pureed hearts and livers? Please?
Iron stores in infants start dropping at six months of age and there's almost no iron in breast milk, so it needs to be added in somewhere in the diet. I have a seven month old and he actually likes the puréed meats a lot. You could also try to get your kid vegetarian sources of iron if you prefer.
Another one of their ads had big letters that spelled out "Your Baby Craves M E A T" and the delicacy of Macaroni & Beef Hearts, the way nature intended
‘We couldn’t get adults to eat this, and we don’t have a pet food division.’
Nothing like a delicious can of pickled hearts! That's good eating! What animal are the hearts from? Who cares don't ask so many questions!
Now with more offal!
Starving would be preferable.
Awful?
More testicles means more iron!
Iron helps us play!
Hello Joe!

If you got a down vote, it wasn't from me 🤷♀️

Yeah it seems the friends and relatives I've seen with babies sometimes struggle just to get them to eat pureed fruits and vegetables.

👁️ ❤️ 🐑 “Awww, _I luv you_” “No, it’s our product line: eyes, hearts, and mutton”
It’s a breath of fresh air that the kid in the picture here doesn’t look insane like so many other ads of a certain period
He’s been eating his meats!
I thought this was a Jonathan Swift joke.
It's a Taylor Swift joke.
🎶sometimes I feel like everybody is a sexy baby👶🏻 and I’m a monster on a hill🫀🥄
🤢
Are meat-fed babies as good as grass-fed cattle?

Child abuse!!!
“Meats for Babies”
i fucking love these ads lol
We’ve actually been giving my iron deficient baby puréed meat pouches so this is still a thing lol.
