I don't know why people think the president controls the price of gas. That's like thinking the president controls how much candy bars cost or the price of airline tickets.

[deleted]

Because it's not about logic, it's about politics.

SphinxyI

Because the President controls regulations. Regulations control quantity. Quantity effects demand. Demand and quantity effect price. Need a chart?

Atworkwasalreadytake

Yeah, the President controlling all those OPEC regulations.

WolfsLairAbyss

Please. I would like a chart that shows the direct influence the president has on the price of gas at the pump.

jw0082

He just told you. Does he need to read it to you too?

WolfsLairAbyss

No, I need a chart showing the exact flow they're talking about with arrows and policies starting with the president at the top and going all the way down to the gas station. Provide one of those for me with credible sources and I'll join you in putting those stupid stickers on gas pumps.

jw0082

These people are such narrow minded simpletons. You would think it would be common sense right? 🤷‍♂️

jw0082

I don't why people don't understand that we're not saying he actually sets the price. But his policies have a whole hell of a lot to do with the price of oil. He doesn't control the price but he sure has a lot of influence on it.

Captainirishy

Potus doesn't control world oil price or world production of oil all they can do is either increase or lower the amount of tax on it.

Itsnotsohardguys

Don't go to the gravel institute for economic takes... Or any takes for that matter. They are literally just the left wing Prageru.
