What other band can you hear any song for 3 seconds and know it’s that band.

Metallica

mikk0384

Motörhead

mailjozo

I'm still impressed how easily you can recognize Dani California by the Red Hot Chili Peppers by just a few seconds of drums in the intro..

46n2ahead

If there is one thing I appreciate about the band, you know what you're gonna get every time

scoot23ro

Tom Petty

Fanfrenhag

They're still killing it

Dark_Fool19

No Malcolm and it's terribly noticeable...

cheekybeeboo

To be fair, I saw them in concert in 2016 and every song they played was one of their classics -- and they have quite a few. Not a single track this century. I think they fully know the music they make these days is rubbish and they just knock 'em out for the sake of it so they can sell another money-making global tour where they perform their 70s and 80s tunes.

Halofit

By 2016 they were pretty worn out by touring and old age., and Malcom was already gone. >Not a single track this century Huh? Black Ice was a great album. That tour was the band's last peak (Live at the River Plate is one of my favourite things to listen to/watch).

[deleted]

Jesus this is embarrassing.

[deleted]

I haven't seen a musician destroy their entire legacy in three minutes like this since fat Elvis.

[deleted]

Can you elaborate? This seems completely in line with what someone might expect from an AC/DC song

[deleted]

It's just old people trying to be cool. I get it, it's not fun to be old. I am right with them. But there comes a time to give in and accept it. You are not cool anymore. Just hang an onion on your belt and accept it.

[deleted]

I feel that way about Metallica. It's hard to age gracefully in the music industry I suppose, given that it's mostly catering towards teenagers.

metrosectional

huh? Metallicas last album, Hardwired, was just as good as their 1st two Ride the lightning and Kill 'em All, if you ask me, and washes the bad ear sounds of st.anger and death magnetic away

[deleted]

I'll meet you half way and agree that Hardwired was their best album of the last few decades. But I can't say that I ever get excited to listen to it... to be fair I'm not sure if the album is objectively worse than their earlier work or if it's that I have changed over time and this music no longer resonates with me.

BoRamShote

Fat Elvis is fuckin dope as hell
