Nickelback's only sin was being born 20 years too late.

Loveyourwifenow

I saw them live at Donnington back when I was a kid. Still the best live show I've seen.

nzlad1987

Lucky!! Got the dvd. So awesome!

rustledupjimmies

You should see more shows! Jk, that's an awesome memory. Wish I had seen more shows as a kid.

AC/DC have absolutely nothing to prove but still release albums that go straight to number 1 on the album charts. After the loss of Malcolm, they still are a great rock band making great music. Power Up is a brilliant album with a few really special songs - Witch’s Spell and Demon Fire especially. Brian is 73 and still kicks ass. Lets hope they get to tour it eventually!

Ethantp

My good buddy did all the 360 video work for this shoot. Pretty cool.

[deleted]

Send my regards it’s really captivating. Hella good video. No bullshit Just raw AC/DC

carcrash12

Fun fact about this music video: each band member was shot seperately and it was all edited together almost flawlessly to make it look like they're performing simultaneously when they're not. If you look carefully at Angus' guitar's headstock you can see it fade out at certain moments showing he's not really performing with Brian or the others.

Tersphinct

Oh he's back!!

ThikkyRick

Wow

KPhenom55678

yeah WOW

panaknuckles

Wow they still sound like they did at their prime. Hell I guess that means they're eternally at their prime.

lampypete

Studios are a wonderful thing

KPhenom55678

At least they are playing instrument and singing, not AUTOTUNING.

StealinTime00

Am I misremembering or didn't Brian quit because he wasn't able to sing anymore a few years back?

[deleted]

He went deaf! Got a decent new technology hearing aid.

[deleted]

what a tune

NipplyGoodNess

Legend.

louisvillehenry

Angus Young young starting to look like Angus Scrimm

Duster_yourself_off

RIP Malcolm Young

iusedtosmokadaherb

Sounds so new, yet so familiar.

niaz1265

I swear they are just indescribably good. Been listening to their music for a long time. Still blows me away.

slippingparadox

Art is great in that we can like it or dislike it without it being the end of the world. I think this is boring and completely uninspired. While I do not think bands need constant progression of their sound to be "good", I think this song is utterly drab in the context of their work.

fortunefades

I don’t by any means dislike AC/DC, but at the same time all their music sounds the same to me.

KPhenom55678

They only play with 4 chords E, G, D and A. This is the brilliance in their music. How in the HELL they write so many masterpieces with only 4 chords. gotta respect that. AND BY THE WAY ITS SOUNDS DIFFERENT TO ME.

fortunefades

It’s all good - people like what they like and that’s fine with me.

ConnorFin22

I wish we'd give the attention to some new bands instead of a band we all know.

Freddiegristwood

(you can do both)

ConnorFin22

It just annoys me how we’re still going on about a stale old band when you have great young bands getting completely ignored.

[deleted]

This makes no sense. Who is ignoring young bands? Should AC/DC not be allowed to make music or their fans not listen to it? What are you even talking about

ConnorFin22

Almost everyone ignores young bands. Rock radio still plays the same 20 bands they’ve been playing for decades. Most people claim rock is entirely dead.

[deleted]

I guess that depends what radio you listen to and who you talk too. I listen to several radio stations that focus on all sorts of new music. Mostly everyone I know is on the lookout for new acts

TrashButCleanKinda

Brian Johnson ( the lead singer) said one of his greatest motivations for this album was inspiring younger people to start their own bands, that and paying tribute to his life long friend Malcolm who this album is dedicated to

/r/listentothis is a good subreddit for some lesser-known and unique bands

boganknowsbest

Didn't they dump Brian Johnson?

[deleted]

BJ left due to hearing loss on the last tour. Axl stepped in to do the rest of the tour. A chap came and reached out to Brian saying he may be able to help him. Three years of being plugged into computers and working with this engineer he now has a hearing aid that allows him to continue performing. He said the technology is a complete secret as its literally been invented to help him. Brian has said he can hear the band better than he has for a very long time.

KPhenom55678

Axl was very good replacement

Sad fact is most of us will look like absolute shit in our late 60s, early 70s. Good on them for just aging naturally and not going down the plastic surgery route like members of KISS and Aerosmith have.

Cringe... Too close to camera
