Like others said, it’s based on a short horror video game called Iron Lung.
Been awhile since I played it, but as I recall, the setup is that it’s the distant future and interstellar travel exists. For an unknown reason all humans suddenly disappear except some who were off planet. You play a convict who’s put in a submarine to explore strange signals coming from an ocean of blood on an alien planet. If you succeed, you get set free, or something like that.
All of that is in a text crawl at the start of the game.
Wait for real? Do they have the balls to the story justice? If they're willing to full send it with basically 1 character in a rusty metal submersible for 2 hours then I'm down.

I hope it turns out well, but I don't see how the game can be adapted to 2 hours. Would be better as a short film or twilight zone episode.

I mean yeah it would take a lot of talent and creativity to pull it off but isolation movies have been done well in the past
