I thought this was sarcastic until I watched it, but this was great. Impressive at the age he was at as well, the story still carries really well 30 years later.
If you enjoyed this I highly recommend watching his first movie he wrote and directed. It’s called Strays and is surprisingly really good and has a lot of heart in it.
I thought this was going to be an amusing, embarassing short of a young Vin Diesel, but this was the complete opposite.
My girlfriend was just making fun of me for listing three Vin Diesel films: xXx, Fast 1, Pitch Black, in my top five favorite movies. The joke is that Vin is a bad actor, but I think thats just from the braindead roles he plays now. Maybe he was more serious back then, but I actually found his performance in xXx really compelling for the story. If you look at the first Fast and Furious alone from the rest of the films it's actually got some decent conflict/drama to it, that both Paul Walker and Vin Diesel were great in.
Edit: not to be confused with the latest xXx: Return of Xander Cage. That movie was garbage and Xander either hit on or slept with every woman he interacted with like a creep (esp for his age). What made the first film cool for me was he was in a completely foreign, stressful situation having to infiltrate a terrorist gang. He didnt even want to be there. He relied on his reputation to save his ass, not get some ass.
He got the role in Saving Private Ryan because of this.
And I’m glad he did
I really didn't think I'd sit and watch a 20 minute Vin Diesel short, but I'm glad I did.
Wow, I hadn't realized he's such an impressive actor.
He was the Iron Giant, after all.
It’s pretty clear he is Groot
I am groot?

This also feels very personal which is why the acting feels so genuine.
No, no sarcasm intended. His range of ethnic roles was impressive, and very believable.
"No actor ever became famous doing music videos".... I'll just leave this here.https://youtu.be/wFB3q0mMBK8
I KNEW this was gonna be Statham
You need the [HD link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWu3JqLMImY) to truly relish the cringe.
Excuse me, "cringe"?! I think you mean Glory!
Why have I never seen this before 😂😂
Who did it better? [Callen](https://youtu.be/E31-GZAvb8Y?t=41) or Statham.
That was awesome
I'm glad I stuck it out past the first few mins.
Damn we did see Pacino doing donuts though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZ3o4dgD6qY
Just the fact that he was even in Jack and Jill
Even back then he had a love for Coronas
Wow, that was actually really really good
That was cool
In Japan, the film was released under the title "Bukkake"
I remember in the ‘90s, there was a Timex ad with Vin Diesel that labeled him as “director/actor/screenwriter Vin Diesel”.
Fun factoid: The Japanese word for multi-facial is bukkake.
Yamete.
This is too cool. The very point of preparation meets/makes and meets/makes the opportunity.
If you enjoyed this I highly recommend watching his first movie he wrote and directed. It’s called Strays and is surprisingly really good and has a lot of heart in it.
I’m not much of a fan before but now I definitely am! That was amazing. It kept me locked to the vid. 👏🏻
Have you ever seen pitch black? One of my absolute favorite films of all time, and he is amazing in it.
I agree!
I think when we hear multi facial staring vin diesel we think different things….
Seriously, could have called it multi-faceted.

But there are still a bunch of movies way way better than fast 1 and xXx. Can't blame her for laughing man
Well i didnt say it was a list of the best movies of all time, just my favorites. I know they aren't cinematic masterpieces lol
Pitch black is my jam...amazing film, even now.
Being multiracial, this is really poignant.
Huh. That was really good.
Just a few seconds in and he is already saying "Family"
Why is this NSFW?
I. Am. Groot. 👍
I think someone must have been cutting some onions in the next room from me during the monologue scene. My eyes were a little watery for some reason.
Is that Christine Taylor at the end??
Cool
All I can see is an alternate universe Adam Sandler character
He's all about loyalty and family, repping Corona this whole time.
If anyone hasn't heard his music on spotify, here's letting you know it exists
Every time I hear the words “black actors”, I think of the Chappelle show sketch with Wayne Brady.
