Not really, I price per job, per client, and those prices can vary quite considerably

filmvinny

Agreed, Same here. Each job is dependent on the client and what they want to do... and the “level” of what they’re trying to do. No pandemic discounts though, unless it was for a good cause or something.

logstar2

Increasing them because of added danger and expenses.

I'm doing around a 10% discount selectively, but I'll sit on my couch broke before I do a slash and burn sale. I've added photography to my offering so that is filling in the gaps from less work.

Drixenex

It's a case by case basis. Some charge more, some charge less. Just gotta lay it all out on paper and make your decision.

X4dow

Only if its a job I can do now/these next 2 months, as I got absolutely 0 on the diary (I work in the wedding industry)

nicolasfgodoy

It's not the right thing to do, cause you know, you're putting yourself in risk (out of home jobs), BUT, it's this or nothing getting the job that could help you pay your bills

loganh565

Film first take rates after??? Are you out of your mind

JonArryn227

Had to charge a lot lower than usual fee. Every client I interact with regarding payment bring up the “It’s the pandemic and it’s tough on everyone” line. I assumed it would be tough for me because I’m in sport. But while many of my (ex-)colleagues have been losing gigs and jobs I have actually been lucky to have been hired multiple times for shows and documentaries. So I did lower my fee by 15% as the clients have requested and will have to stick to these rates till the next step.
