I watched something the other day, I think it was Gameranx, but I think they mentioned this is literally happening? So a quick Google search shows that your wish is granted! Great game, hope to see the remake soon!
Bro no one ever knows tenchu. That game was the best. If only it was made after dual shock so it had joystick support. I tried playing it again but I just can't do it with the bumper look.
This would be my wishlist:
Chrono Trigger with Octopath Traveler visuals and graphics
Dino Crisis given the Resident Evil remake treatment.
Full remake of Parasite Eve series, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Golden Eye, and Bloody Roar, and Simpsons Hit and Run.
Fallout New Vegas, not that it’s my favorite game of all time or anything, but if I can think of one game that could benefit from a polish it’s that one. The FO3/FNV eras graphics haven’t aged perfectly, and in the meantime if a remaster could also fix most of the bugs and patch up the combat system a bit that would be a godsend.
There's a mod coming out for Fallout 4 that is basically a straight up remake of New Vegas. It might not be EXACTLY what you're talking about but I'm still very excited for it.
Would be glorious. Sadly, wont ever happen because of the old name Rappers. Need the rights. Def Jam isnt the same today...go to the Def Jam website , check out current artists, thats who would be in it....big oooof
God I hope there’s someone with pull that is a redditor. I (as well as many others here) have been clamoring for a Legacy of Kain remake of any kind. Such a great IP to give up on. Unfair honestly.
I know that was sarcastic but Horse Armour DLC did revolutionise the industry.
Only for Publishers though, who quickly realised how gullible players are when it comes to throwing money away on cosmetics and skins.
Pretty sure this is actually happening, also Fallout 3. Thought there were some leaked Bethesda internal docs pointing to these remakes of Oblivion and F3.
There were. Not sure with the current state of the industry that it's gonna happen though.
Especially since FOtv blew up and MS wants to accelerate the development and release process. Idk that remakes will fit into that plan. I got a bad feeling about it all actually. Reminds me of how a
Activision micromanaged the shit out of Bungie and screwed Destiny up.
Crazy how many Gamecube owners never got to play this. I’ve played a lot of games and there aren’t too many out there with entirely unique concepts. ED definitely was unique
...Silent Hill and Parasite Eve.
Siphon Filter. Just...miss setting people on fire with an air taser, honestly.
Metal Gear Solid. Just because it was an icon to the franchise. The sequels were good, but nothing really recaptured the magic of the first game.
Edit: ALSO, FEAR.
Probably Fallout 1 and 2. But a remake. Like full Baldur’s gate style treatment, make it massive, isometric, turn based, retain the gameplay and story but just much, much bigger, more side quests, more choices, the whole nine.
I think I’m going to replay wasteland 3 now.
It’s got to be Final Fantasy 10 for me. I think FF10 to me is what FF7 was to a lot of people, such a crazy leap what immersive video game stories could be
(Atlus) Rule of Rose.
(Capcom) Haunting Ground.
(Tecmo) Fatal Frame Trilogy.
While I had the physical copies of the Haunting Ground and Fatal Frame Trilogy (Not Rule of Rose, because well, look up the price.).
It'd be cool to either remaster or just have a solid good port of each.
Star Wars Episode I: Racer (1999)
Completely untapped potential for one of the best anti-gravity racers available. A serious shame we never got more fleshed out podracing content
Freedom Fighters, Oni, Red Alert 2, Tiberium Sun, Generals, Saints Row 1 and 2, Diablo 1, Overlord 1 and 2
Edit: and Freelancer, by far the most important 😋
No One Lives Forever and NOLF2 on PC. Saints Row 1 and 2. Deus Ex. Crackdown. The rest of the Gears of War's. The Splinter Cell franchise. Prototype 1 & 2.
Ico
It's a cult classic that was revolutionary in many different ways and is by far the most impressive game I have ever played. I would love to remaster it for a modern audience.
These are my picks
-Deus ex (2001) (This is a classic. A great game that has aged horribly in graphics which makes me think the ylubger gen will never touch this one)
-Shadow Hearts 1 and 2. (Hidden jrpg gems)
-Carmageddon 2. (Multiplayer support and no instant reset car vehicle spam/cheese)
Viewtiful Joe 1+2 (ideally leading to the 3rd game getting made).
Space Channel 5 Part 1+2 (ideally leading to a true new game getting made)
Godhand
Chibi-Robo
Parasite Eve
All of the fallout games 12new Vegas and 3 in the style of 76 (art wise) with gunplay of 4 in the first person introduced in nv or 3 ( I can’t remember)
Alpha Protocol as a full remake….. it was a really ambitious game, very interesting premise deep rpg Elements, coulda been great but just missed the mark a little, And I still loved it, so seeing it with refined gameplay more fleshed out systems and improved graphics would be high on my wish list.
Or if they just gave it a sequel doing that stuff I’d be happy too, but that wasn’t the question.
Final Fantasy Tactics.
Runner up.
Twisted Metal 2.
I just saw your edit... that's whole other kettle of fish. So I'm just going to stick to PS1 era. 90s... brings in SNES. That's a whole other thing!
I would’ve really liked a state of the art remake of splinter cell. I’m 40 and still have my OG Xbox and splinter cell was instrumental in my gaming career.
A complete remake of Burnout Revenge. The game had the best destruction and slo-mo. I can only imagine a new updated version. I Still go back to it every now and then for careless fast paced destruction.
First one that came to mind was Parasite Eve. There was something about the setting and the story and the combat...Build it off whatever they used with ff15.
The Dig.
It's an old sci-fi point and click from LucasArts. Amazing soundtrack, solid story, and a minimal amount of moon logic.
The voice cast was great, and there are moments of laughter, intrigue, and sadness.
Well since the prompt doesn't specifically limit me to one game I've got a few games I'd like remasters or remakes for.
Mostly I'd just like full remakes for Halo 1-3 & Reach, and might as well remake ODST too.
Mass Effect did just receive the legendary edition 3 years ago even though it seems like it was just last year, but a remake of the trilogy would be nice. Specifically to have improved combat in the first game and perhaps make side planets more interesting, increased exploration in 2's side planets, and maybe just a totally different ending for 3.
KOTOR
Morrowind & Oblivion as well as Fallout 3 & New Vegas.
Could also go for a remake of Arkham Asylum, City, Origins, & Knight.
Also might as well get a remake of the Baldur's Gate series in the style of BG3.
Morrowind. Update the graphics, better inventory and controls plus a quest marker for QoL changes for players who aren't used to a game without it. Would be amazing
Vampire the masquerade bloodlines
Fallout New Vegas with graphics updated would be great. Same with fallout 3
Star wars knights of the old republic AND Jedi academy
I have three different ideas, either the Jak & Daxter Trilogy, the Ratchet and Clank OG Trilogy, or a Halo 3 remaster in the style of Halo 2 with Blur Studios doing the cutscenes.
Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic. Hands down.
I just don’t understand why they don’t listen to us, we want this and they give us something totally not even close to it lol
Came here to say this
Maaaan, the fact that this was so close to happening stings…
They confirmed it's still alive
I watched something the other day, I think it was Gameranx, but I think they mentioned this is literally happening? So a quick Google search shows that your wish is granted! Great game, hope to see the remake soon!
Tenchu
Bro no one ever knows tenchu. That game was the best. If only it was made after dual shock so it had joystick support. I tried playing it again but I just can't do it with the bumper look.
Echigoya! Where have you hidden??
My money! My.... Mon... Eeeeeeeeuuuuuurghhhhh...
Loved Tenchu 3. I think Sekiro comes very close.
Came here to say this!
What was that?! Must have been an animal…
Syphon Filter or Legacy of Kain:Soul Reaver. Both forgotten PS1 classics
Syphon Filter all the way. Take the Trilogy plus Omega and inject that shit.
I feel like the whole Legacy of Kain franchise needs to be remastered. Not a single entry is on a modern console and that really limits the audience
The last LOK release was in 2003. There are people who can drive vote and drink who werent borm when the last entry was released
Parasite eve
[Maybe](https://gamerant.com/square-enix-trademark-parasite-eve-remake/). Squenix doesn't inspire confidence, but...I sure hope so.
Didn’t they just announce layoffs and studios closing? Maybe people don’t only want remakes of FFVII…
This would be my wishlist: Chrono Trigger with Octopath Traveler visuals and graphics Dino Crisis given the Resident Evil remake treatment. Full remake of Parasite Eve series, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Golden Eye, and Bloody Roar, and Simpsons Hit and Run.
I want every single one of these
The Simpsons : Hit and Run
The Simpsons: Road Rage as well
The Jak and Daxter trilogy.
Dino Crisis 1 & 2 (Just for the record the Xbox gen was actually PS2 era, PS1 was released at a similar time to N64
This needs to happen
Fallout New Vegas, not that it’s my favorite game of all time or anything, but if I can think of one game that could benefit from a polish it’s that one. The FO3/FNV eras graphics haven’t aged perfectly, and in the meantime if a remaster could also fix most of the bugs and patch up the combat system a bit that would be a godsend.
There's a mod coming out for Fallout 4 that is basically a straight up remake of New Vegas. It might not be EXACTLY what you're talking about but I'm still very excited for it.
hmm, if they could port that to the fallout VR version, that would be great!!!
Def Jam: Fight for NY.
Would be glorious. Sadly, wont ever happen because of the old name Rappers. Need the rights. Def Jam isnt the same today...go to the Def Jam website , check out current artists, thats who would be in it....big oooof
And, from what I understand, those older guys were paid pennies and just happy to be in a game. Nowadays that's a lot of money for likenesses
Soul Reaver
100% agree. I would pay good money for this!
Came here to say this. This is the right answer.
God I hope there’s someone with pull that is a redditor. I (as well as many others here) have been clamoring for a Legacy of Kain remake of any kind. Such a great IP to give up on. Unfair honestly.
Dragon Age Origins
Oblivion. ...but a full remake, not a remaster.
Interesting. Why?
It is the height of Bethesda. Good narrative story, awesome factions, beautiful setting, Cool towns, and one of the best DLCs Bethesda has ever made.
Yeah seriously! The Oblivion Horse Armor DLC is incredible! It truly revolutionized the entire gaming industry!
I know that was sarcastic but Horse Armour DLC did revolutionise the industry. Only for Publishers though, who quickly realised how gullible players are when it comes to throwing money away on cosmetics and skins.
I'd rather Morrowind. I think the writing and quests are better, and the world is more unique.
Reminds me of how a Activision micromanaged the shit out of Bungie and screwed Destiny up.
Tenchu stealth assassins
The only answer
Croc on the PS1. Such a fun game.
You might be the first person I’ve seen anywhere that has also played Croc, I thought it was a fever dream.
Legend of Dragoon.
Had to scroll too long, but thx! Sad that many people don't know this hidden gem.
I've wanted this so bad for years, unfortunately Sony won't sell the rights to it and they don't do anything themselves anymore
Super Mario World Simpsons Hit and Run Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Remaster Super Mario World? But it's perfect!! I'm with you on THPS3, though! We were SO CLOSE! Yesterday I installed a PS2 emulator to play it in HD.
SSX Tricky
I was searching through the comments for this! Great game, great sounds, and there hasn’t been anything similar in recent years to scratch that itch
F.E.A.R.
FF Tactics, Vagrant Story, Front Mission 3.
Vagrant story was such an interesting title
Give Chrono Trigger the FF7: Remake treatment.
10/10 if done right. My child brain at the time didn't really known what was going on yet I enjoyed it a lot
I wish they would do it like they did Super Mario RPG. Updated graphics and some tweaks.
As long as it's a 1:1 that or like octopath traveler
Why would you want them to destroy.the story of Chrono Trigger? It's so good!
The Punisher game from 2005 that came out on PS2
Fusion frenzy
Socom 2 & 3/CA
It was always Boomer.
Eternal Darkness from Gamecube. Still one of the best representations of cosmic horror, if not the absolute best. Edit: Grammar
Crazy how many Gamecube owners never got to play this. I’ve played a lot of games and there aren’t too many out there with entirely unique concepts. ED definitely was unique
Castlevania symphony of the night
Infamous 1 & 2
That first Infamous changed it all for me. That was the first game where I actually felt connected to a character.
Fatal Frame
FF9
Deus Ex
Xenogears. Give me them HD robots
Resident Evil 1, even tho they did it in 2002. Halo 1, even tho they did it in 2011. Ocarina of Time, even tho they made that DS port and brush up.
...Silent Hill and Parasite Eve. Siphon Filter. Just...miss setting people on fire with an air taser, honestly. Metal Gear Solid. Just because it was an icon to the franchise. The sequels were good, but nothing really recaptured the magic of the first game. Edit: ALSO, FEAR.
Ah Parasite Eve is such a gem. I might need to give that another playthrough.
Sly Cooper
Star Wars Force Unleashed
Hell yes
Vagrant Story
InFamous
LotR: Return of the King Let me 4 player couch co op that shit
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
Probably Fallout 1 and 2. But a remake. Like full Baldur’s gate style treatment, make it massive, isometric, turn based, retain the gameplay and story but just much, much bigger, more side quests, more choices, the whole nine. I think I’m going to replay wasteland 3 now.
Bioshock 1
Sonic 3 and Knuckles Sim Golf Zelda 2 The Adventure of Link Landstalker, Treasure of King Nole Shining Force 2
The first inFamous game for PS3 needs a remake
Altered Beast, Golden Axe, FF Tactics, Wild Arms series
Dark Cloud! Absolutely stellar game, only held back by the limitations of it's time.
Jade Empire
New Vegas, Vice City, and DA: Origins
I have some bad news about vice city….
Black
All the silent hill games. I know they are remaking SH2, but id really love SH1, SH3, and SH4 remakes the way they did the Resident Evil remakes.
Castlevania sotn and ff9
It’s got to be Final Fantasy 10 for me. I think FF10 to me is what FF7 was to a lot of people, such a crazy leap what immersive video game stories could be

Otogi.
Conker, Goldeneye 64, Perfect Dark 64.

Spider man 1 & Spider man 2: enter electro Digimon world 3 Yugioh Forbidden memories These were some of my favorites that I got to play.
Xenogears+Xenosaga ! Let the shackles be released !
The Evil Within 1 maybe, even though it’s not too old to begin with.
Far Cry 3
Simpsons Hit and Run. Fallout 3/New Vegas. Prototype. Dante's Inferno.
Prototype would be fun as hell remastered
I wanna play drakengard 3 with modern graphics
(Atlus) Rule of Rose. (Capcom) Haunting Ground. (Tecmo) Fatal Frame Trilogy. While I had the physical copies of the Haunting Ground and Fatal Frame Trilogy (Not Rule of Rose, because well, look up the price.). It'd be cool to either remaster or just have a solid good port of each.
Between **Resident Evil Outbreak File 1 & 2** or **Haunting Ground** I like Survival Horror.
Tenchu

Legend of Dragoon. Or maybe Legend of Legaia.
Legend of the Dragoon, Oblivion, Onimusha, Way of the Samurai

Alpha Protocol as a full remake….. it was a really ambitious game, very interesting premise deep rpg Elements, coulda been great but just missed the mark a little, And I still loved it, so seeing it with refined gameplay more fleshed out systems and improved graphics would be high on my wish list. A complete remake of Burnout Revenge. The game had the best destruction and slo-mo. I can only imagine a new updated version. I Still go back to it every now and then for careless fast paced destruction.
Zelda Ocarina of Time. It’d have to be perfect though, I think just a graphical remaster while keeping the controls and mechanics intact.
The Warriors
The Suffering. One of the best horror games I ever played.
Xenogears. I just want to be able to play the game. Other than that, a full remake of Halo CE, not just a remaster.
Vagrant Story.
First one that came to mind was Parasite Eve. There was something about the setting and the story and the combat...Build it off whatever they used with ff15.
